  • push_back private vectors with 2 methods, one isn't working

    - by jmclem
    I have a class with a private vector of doubles. To access or modify these values, at first I used methods such as void classA::pushVector(double i) { this->vector.push_back(i); } double classA::getVector(int i) { return vector[i]; } This worked for a while until I found I would have to overload a lot of operators for what I needed, so I tried to change it to get and set the vector directly instead of the values, i.e. void classA::setVector(vector<double> vector) { this->vector = vector; } vector<double> classA::getVector() { return vector; } Now, say there is a classB, which has a private classA element, which also has get and set methods to read and write. The problem was when I tried to push back a value to the end vector in classA. void classB::setFirstValue(double first) { this->getClassA().getVector().push_back(first); } This does absolutely nothing to the vector. It remains unchanged and I can't figure out why... Any ideas?

  • Problem with HttpService POST

    - by Lost_in_code
    I'm trying to send some data to PHP using HTTPService POST but for some reason it's not working. The same example works with GET but not with POST: private function start():void{ var param:Object = {}; param.date = "2010-10-10"; userRequest.send(param); userRequest.addEventListener(ResultEvent.RESULT, result); userRequest.addEventListener(FaultEvent.FAULT, fault); } private function fault(e:FaultEvent):void{ trace(e.message); } private function result(e:ResultEvent):void{ trace(e.result); } <mx:HTTPService id="userRequest" url="http://localhost:8888/api" useProxy="false" method="POST"/> And here's the PHP code: $d = $_POST['date']; echo $d; if($d == ""){ trace("Date not found!"); die(); } This is the error I'm getting: "Error #2032: Stream Error. URL: http://localhost:8888/api" But when I change the method in HTTPService to GET and in PHP I get the result as expected - PHP sends back the date: 2010-10-10 What am I doing wrong?

  • Service behavior not being applied correctly

    - by Rubans
    I have a custom behavior for a service where I want to specify a receive timeout value, I have created a behavior and on the build service header. I use the declarative attribute to apply the behavior or as I thought. But the behavior seems to make no difference, i.e. the set timeout value is not being applied as expected. However when I have noticed the behavior is only being applied when the host is opened rather than when created. The same behavior when applied explicitly through does work. Any ideas? Behavior: [AttributeUsage(AttributeTargets.Class)] public class BuildServiceBindingBehavior : Attribute, IServiceBehavior { public BuildServiceBindingBehavior( string p_receiveTime ) { ReceiveTimeout = TimeSpan.Parse( p_receiveTime ); } #region IServiceBehavior Members public void AddBindingParameters( ServiceDescription serviceDescription, ServiceHostBase serviceHostBase, System.Collections.ObjectModel.Collection<ServiceEndpoint> endpoints, System.ServiceModel.Channels.BindingParameterCollection bindingParameters ) { } public void ApplyDispatchBehavior( ServiceDescription serviceDescription, ServiceHostBase serviceHostBase ) { // add this behavior to each endpoint foreach ( var endPoint in serviceDescription.Endpoints ) { endPoint.Binding.ReceiveTimeout = ReceiveTimeout; } } public void Validate( ServiceDescription serviceDescription, ServiceHostBase serviceHostBase ) { } #endregion internal TimeSpan ReceiveTimeout { get; set; } } Service code: [ServiceBehavior(Name = "DotNetBuildsService", InstanceContextMode = InstanceContextMode.PerSession, ConcurrencyMode = ConcurrencyMode.Single )] // Set receieve time out [BuildServiceBindingBehavior( "0:0:1" )] public class BuildService : IBuildTasksService { //implementation code }

  • tracking the position of dragview

    - by user262325
    Hello everyone I put a dragview on an UIView, I hope when I drag the dragview, its superview (UIView) tracks the position of the dragview and moves itself to the position where to keep dragview at the original position on the UIView. The codes show below: #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> @interface DragView : UIImageView { CGPoint startLocation; } @end #import "DragView.h" @implementation DragView - (id)initWithFrame:(CGRect)frame { if (self = [super initWithFrame:frame]) { // Initialization code } return self; } - (void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect { // Drawing code } -(void) touchesBegan:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)event { CGPoint pt=[[touches anyObject] locationInView:self]; startLocation=pt; [[self superview] bringSubviewToFront:self]; } -(void) touchesMoved:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { CGPoint pt=[[touches anyObject] locationInView:self]; CGRect frame=[self frame]; frame.origin.x+=pt.x-startLocation.x; frame.origin.y+=pt.y-startLocation.y; CGRect frame1=[[self superview] frame];//superview of the dragview frame1.origin.x+=frame.origin.x; //tracks the postion of dragview frame1.origin.y+=frame.origin.y; [[self superview] setFrame: frame1 ]; //move to new position [self setFrame:frame]; } my problem is that the UIView moved but lagged to the movement of the drageview(RED BLOCK). Welcome any comment Thanks interdev

  • Wait between tasks with SingleThreadExecutor

    - by Lord.Quackstar
    I am trying to (simply) make a blocking thread queue, where when a task is submitted the method waits until its finished executing. The hard part though is the wait. Here's my 12:30 AM code that I think is overkill: public void sendMsg(final BotMessage msg) { try { Future task; synchronized(msgQueue) { task = msgQueue.submit(new Runnable() { public void run() { sendRawLine("PRIVMSG " + msg.channel + " :" + msg.message); } }); //Add a seperate wait so next runnable doesn't get executed yet but //above one unblocks msgQueue.submit(new Runnable() { public void run() { try { Thread.sleep(Controller.msgWait); } catch (InterruptedException e) { log.error("Wait to send message interupted", e); } } }); } //Block until done task.get(); } catch (ExecutionException e) { log.error("Couldn't schedule send message to be executed", e); } catch (InterruptedException e) { log.error("Wait to send message interupted", e); } } As you can see, there's alot of extra code there just to make it wait 1.7 seconds between tasks. Is there an easier and cleaner solution out there or is this it?

  • Technical details for Server 2012 de-duplication feature

    - by syneticon-dj
    Now that Windows Server 2012 comes with de-duplication features for NTFS volumes I am having a hard time finding technical details about it. I can deduce from the TechNet documentation that the de-duplication action itself is an asynchronous process - not unlike how the SIS Groveler used to work - but there is virtually no detail about the implementation (algorithms used, resources needed, even the info on performance considerations is nothing but a bunch rule-of-thumb-style recommendations). Insights and pointers are greatly appreciated, a comparison to Solaris' ZFS de-duplication efficiency for a set of scenarios would be wonderful.

  • OnClickListener on Tabs not working

    - by Aracos
    Greetings, I am trying to get the Click - event when clicking on the currently selected tab of my TabActivity. The onTabChangedHandler is only called whenever the tab is changed, not if the currently active Tab is clicked. The debugger tells me i have the onClickListener Registered for the TabWidget within my TabHost. Am i registering for the wrong View? Also, I am unable to create a Context Menu for the Tabs, only for its content, is this problem related? public class TestDroidViewTab extends TabActivity implements TabContentFactory , OnTabChangeListener, OnClickListener { private static final String LOG_KEY = "TEST"; ListView listView; @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); final TabHost tabHost = getTabHost(); TabHost.TabSpec ts = tabHost.newTabSpec("ID_1"); ts.setIndicator("1"); ts.setContent(this); tabHost.addTab(ts); ts = tabHost.newTabSpec("ID_2"); ts.setIndicator("2"); ts.setContent(this); tabHost.addTab(ts); ts = tabHost.newTabSpec("ID_3"); ts.setIndicator("3"); ts.setContent(this); tabHost.addTab(ts); tabHost.setOnClickListener(this); tabHost.setOnTabChangedListener(this); } public void onClick(View v) { Log.d(LOG_KEY, "OnClick"); } public void onTabChanged(String tabId) { Log.d(LOG_KEY, "OnTabChanged"); }

  • Android - save/restore state of custom class

    - by user1209216
    I have some class for ssh support - it uses jsch internally. I use this class on main activity, this way: public class MainActivity extends Activity { SshSupport ssh = new SshSupport(); ..... @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); //Handle events for ssh ssh.eventHandler = new ISshEvents() { @Override public void SshCommandExecuted(SshCommandsEnum commandType, String result) { } //other overrides here } //Ssh operations on gui item click @Override public void onItemClick(AdapterView<?> arg0, View v, int position, long arg3) { if (ssh.IsConnected() == false) { try { ssh.ConnectAsync(/*parameters*/); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } try { ssh.ExecuteCommandAsync(SshCommandsEnum.values()[position]); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } }); } It works very well. My application connects to ssh, performs all needed operation in background thread and results are reported to gui, via events as shown above. But nothing works after user change device orientation. It's clear for me - activity is re-created and all state is lost. Unfortunately, my SshSupport class object is lost as well. It's pretty easy to store gui state for dynamically changed/added objects (using put/get serializable etc methods). But I have no idea how to prevent my ssh object, ssh connected session being lost. Since my class is not serializable, I can't save it to bundle. Also, even if I make my SshSupport class serializable, jsch objects it uses still are not serializable. So what is the best way to solve this?

  • Android ProgressDialog inside another dialog

    - by La bla bla
    I'm working on a game using AndEngine, and I need to show the users the list of his Facebook friends. I've created my custom Adatper and after the loading finishes everything works great. I have a problem with the loading it self. The ListView is inside a custom dialog, since I don't really know how to create one using AndEngine, So inside this dialog, I'm running an AsyncTask to fetch the friends' info, in that AsyncTask I'm have a ProgressDialog. The problem is, the ProgressDialog shows up behind the dialog that contains the to-be list (which while loading, is just the title). I can see the ProgressDialog "peeking" behind that dialog.. Any Ideas? Here's some code: FriendsDialog.java private ProgressDialog dialog; //Constructor of the AsyncTask public FriendsLoader(Context context) { dialog = new ProgressDialog(context); dialog.setMessage("Please wait..\nLoading Friends List."); } @Override protected void onPreExecute() { dialog.requestWindowFeature(Window.FEATURE_NO_TITLE); LayoutInflater inflater = (LayoutInflater)context.getSystemService(Context.LAYOUT_INFLATER_SERVICE); dialog.setView(inflater.inflate(R.layout.loading, null)); dialog.setMessage("Please wait..\nLoading friends."); dialog.show(); } @Override protected void onPostExecute(ArrayList<HashMap<String, Object>> data) { if (dialog.isShowing()) { dialog.dismiss(); } MyAdapter myAdapter = new MyAdapter(context, data); listView = (ListView) findViewById(R.id.list); listView.setAdapter(myAdapter); listView.setOnItemClickListener(new AdapterView.OnItemClickListener() { @Override public void onItemClick(AdapterView<?> myAdapter, View myView, int myItemInt, long mylng) { String id = (String) listView.getItemAtPosition(myItemInt); listener.onUserSelected(id); dismiss(); } }); }

  • How to write curiously recurring templates with more than 2 layers of inheritance?

    All the material I've read on Curiously Recurring Template Pattern seems to one layer of inheritance, ie Base and Derived : Base<Derived>. • Flex/Flash: Don't show 'bar' cursor when dragging over a TextField/TextArea?

    - by David Wolever
    As the title suggests, how can I prevent the "bar" cursor from appearing when I click-and-drag over a TextField? For example, consider this interaction: I'd like to prevent the cursor changing to the "bar" in step "2". How can I do that? I've tried fiddling with the selectable flag: protected static function fixMouseOverAfordance(field:TextField):void { var iOwnClick:Boolean = false; function handleMouseOver(event:MouseEvent):void { if (event.buttonDown) { field.selectable = iOwnClick; } else { field.selectable = true; iOwnClick = false; } } field.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, handleMouseOver, false, EventPriority.CURSOR_MANAGEMENT+1); field.addEventListener(MouseEvent.ROLL_OVER, handleMouseOver, false, EventPriority.CURSOR_MANAGEMENT+1); field.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, handleMouseOver, false, EventPriority.CURSOR_MANAGEMENT+1); field.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, function(event:MouseEvent):void { iOwnClick = true; field.selectable = true; }); } But the "bar" cursor still appears the first time the mouse is moved over the text field (however, after it has been moved out then moved back in, it does the right thing).

But, if one of the cells is blank I want a blank return. I'm trying to get my head around, making it up actually, where the IFs and ISBLANK and SUMS would go. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. SUM(IF(ISBLANK(RANGEA,OR(RANGEB),0,ALLRANGES))) Many thanks Michael

  • How to focus a control in an MDIParent when all child windows have closed?

    - by Tim Gradwell
    I have a control in my parent mdi form which I wish to be given the focus if all mdi children have closed. I've tried hooking into the child form's FormClosed event and setting the focus from there but when I test it, my control is not left with focus when I close the mdi child. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? In the sample below, "first focus" gets hit and does its job correctly (if I comment out the first focus line, my tree does not get focus on startup, so it must be doing its job, right?) Unfortunately, even though "second focus" gets hit, my tree does not end up with the focus when I close the child window. Sample using System; using System.Windows.Forms; namespace mdiFocus { class ParentForm : Form { public ParentForm() { IsMdiContainer = true; tree = new TreeView(); tree.Nodes.Add("SomeNode"); tree.Dock = DockStyle.Left; Controls.Add(tree); } protected override void OnShown(EventArgs e) { Form child = new Form(); child.MdiParent = this; child.Show(); child.FormClosed += new FormClosedEventHandler(child_FormClosed); tree.Focus(); // first focus works ok } void child_FormClosed(object sender, FormClosedEventArgs e) { tree.Focus(); // second focus doesn't seem to work, even though it is hit :( } TreeView tree; } static class Program { [STAThread] static void Main() { Application.Run(new ParentForm()); } } }

  • Reducing Duplicated Code

    - by cam
    I have some code that works on the color structure like this public void ChangeColor() { thisColor.R = thisColor.R + 5; } Now I need to make a method that changes a different variable depending on what it is passed. Here is what the code looks like now. public void ChangeColor(int RGBValue) { switch(RGBValue) { case 1: thisColor.R = thisColor.R + 5; break; case 2: thiscolor.B = thisColor.B + 5; break; } } Now, this is something I would normally never question, I'd just throw a #region statement around it and call it a day, but this is just an example of what I have, the actual function is quite long. I want it to look like this: public void ChangeColor(int RGBValue) { thiscolor.RGBValue = thiscolor.RGBValue; } So essentially the value would refer to the variable being used. Is there a name for this? Is this what Reflection is for? Or something like that... Is there a way to do this?

  • JLabel transparency problem

    - by Rendicahya
    I have a dark-gray JPanel with a JLabel on it. I set new Color(0, 0, 0, .5f) (tranparent) as the background of the JLabel and I change the text several times using a button. The problem is, everytime the text is changed, the previous text still remains behind the new text. I change the text from "123456789" to "1234567", "12345" and "123". Here is the screenshot: How do I get rid of this "shadow"? Here's the code: public class TransparentJLabel extends JFrame { private int i = 0; private String[] value = {"123456789", "1234567", "12345", "123", "1"}; public TransparentJLabel() { setSize(300, 160); setDefaultCloseOperation(WindowConstants.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); setLayout(null); JPanel panel = new JPanel(); panel.setBackground(new Color(102, 102, 102)); panel.setLayout(null); panel.setBounds(0, 0, 300, 160); final JLabel label = new JLabel(); label.setText(value[0]); label.setFont(new Font("Times New Roman", 1, 36)); label.setForeground(new Color(255, 255, 255)); label.setBackground(new Color(0, 0, 0, .5f)); label.setHorizontalAlignment(SwingConstants.CENTER); label.setOpaque(true); label.setBounds(10, 10, 270, 70); JButton button = new JButton(); button.setText("Change"); button.setBounds(100, 90, 90, 25); button.addActionListener(new ActionListener() { public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) { label.setText(value[++i]); } }); panel.add(label); panel.add(button); add(panel); } public static void main(String[] args) { EventQueue.invokeLater(new Runnable() { public void run() { new TransparentJLabel().setVisible(true); } }); } }

  • Error in Android's clearCheck() for RadioGroup?

    - by Manuel R. Ciosici
    I'm having an issue with RadioGroup's clearChecked(). I'm displaying a multiple choice question to the user and after the user selects an answer I check the answer, give him some feedback and then move to the next question. In the process of moving to the next question I clearCheck on the RadioGroup. Can anyone explain to me why the onCheckedChanged method is called 3 times? Once when the change actually occurs (with the user changes), once when I clearCheck(with -1 as the selected id) and once in between (with the user changes again)? As far as I could tell the second trigger is provoked by clearCheck. Code below: private void checkAnswer(RadioGroup group, int checkedId){ // this makes sure it doesn't blow up when the check is cleared // also we don't check the answer when there is no answer if (checkedId == -1) return; if (group.getCheckedRadioButtonId() == -1) return; // check if correct answer if (checkedId == validAnswerId){ score++; this.giveFeedBack(feedBackType.GOOD); } else { this.giveFeedBack(feedBackType.BAD); } // allow for user to see feedback and move to next question h.postDelayed(this, 800); } private void changeToQuestion(int questionNumber){ if (questionNumber >= this.questionSet.size()){ // means we are past the question set // we're going to the score activity this.goToScoreActivity(); return; } //clearing the check gr.clearCheck(); // give change the feedback back to question imgFeedback.setImageResource(R.drawable.question_mark); //OTHER CODE HERE } and the run method looks like this public void run() { questionNumber++; changeToQuestion(questionNumber); }

Since the warnings are concentrated in just the private void ValidateConfiguration( XmlNode section ) section, hopefully this is not terribly hard to answer, if you have encountered this before. Thanks! 'System.Configuration.ConfigurationException.ConfigurationException(string)' is obsolete: 'This class is obsolete, to create a new exception create a System.Configuration!System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException' 'System.Xml.XmlValidatingReader' is obsolete: 'Use XmlReader created by XmlReader.Create() method using appropriate XmlReaderSettings instead. http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=14202' private void ValidateConfiguration( XmlNode section ) { // throw if there is no configuration node. if( null == section ) { throw new ConfigurationException("The configuration section passed within the ... class was null ... there must be a configuration file defined.", section ); } //Validate the document using a schema XmlValidatingReader vreader = new XmlValidatingReader( new XmlTextReader( new StringReader( section.OuterXml ) ) ); // open stream on Resources; the XSD is set as an "embedded resource" so Resource can open a stream on it using (Stream xsdFile = XYZ.GetStream("ABC.xsd")) using (StreamReader sr = new StreamReader(xsdFile)) { vreader.ValidationEventHandler += new ValidationEventHandler(ValidationCallBack); vreader.Schemas.Add(XmlSchema.Read(new XmlTextReader(sr), null)); vreader.ValidationType = ValidationType.Schema; // Validate the document while (vreader.Read()) { } if (!_isValidDocument) { _schemaErrors = _sb.ToString(); throw new ConfigurationException("XML Document not valid"); } } } // Does not cause warnings. private void ValidationCallBack( object sender, ValidationEventArgs args ) { // check what KIND of problem the schema validation reader has; // on FX 1.0, it gives a warning for "<xs:any...skip" sections. Don't worry about those, only set validation false // for real errors if( args.Severity == XmlSeverityType.Error ) { _isValidDocument = false; _sb.Append( args.Message + Environment.NewLine ); } }
