• Unable to use "Manage Content and Structure" after removing Project server form the SharePoint farm.

  We're no longer using Office Project Server, and I've removed it from the farm in which it was installed. However, now that it's been removed, I am unable to access the "Manage Content and Structure" link on some of our SharePoint sites. I get an error indicating that SharePoint Failed to find the XML file at location '12\Template\Features\PWSCommitments\feature.xml' Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

• Print raw data to a thermal-printer using .NET

  I'm trying to print out raw ascii data to a thermal printer. I do this by using this code example: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322091 but my printer prints always only one character and this not until I press the form feed button. If I print something with notepad the printer will do a form feed automatically but without printing any text. The printer is connected via usb over a lpt2usb adapter and Windows 7 uses the "Generic - Generic / Text Only" driver. Anyone knows what is going wrong? How is it possible to print some words and do some form feeds? Are there some control characters I have to send? And if yes: How do I send them?   Hi folks! I'm going to buy a new ergonomic keyboard for my laptop. In the following, keep in mind I live in Italy. I considered the following models: Adesso PCK-308UB - Adesso Tru-Form™ Pro - Contoured Ergonomic Keyboard with TouchPad-PS2 Pro: has a built-in touchpad in the same position of my laptop somewhat cheaper than the alternative below Cons: the surface doesn't seem to be bowl-shaped. keys seem to lay on a straight slightly-inclined surface. It seems an idea used extensively in other ergonomic keyboards according to a few comments on the net, new Adesso keyboards seem to lack robustness, they're likely to loose small parts after a few weeks or months. Other users, instead, seem to never had any problem in years and swear by their quality and comfortability. Those who had problems, however, lamented a lack of responsiveness from the manufacturer. I'm not sure whether the keyboard, at least the standard keys, and the touchpad will both be recognized correctly under linux distros (I mostly use FC btw) last time I checked, Adesso didn't have local resellers in my country Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard Pro: recognized as one of the most comfortable keyboards reliable customer service operating in my country AFAIK there are several documented ways to get extra buttons work with linux Cons: it doesn't have a builtin touchpad and has a numeric keypad wasting space to reach mouse But there could be other keyboards I haven't considered yet, so here follows my ideal keyboard wishlist, ordered by priority linux compatible basic ergonomic design, which entails split tilted keyboard and pads advanced ergonomic design, like true-ergonomic's or kinesis , where special keys (like enter, caps-lock...) are placed symmetrically in the middle to be used by thumbs a builtin touchpad/trackball placed under the keyboard. I just love this on my notebook. I think it's pretty effective, since it allows my hand to rest naturally everytime I use it.   Using ASP MVC, I have set up a webpage for localhost/Dinner/100 to show the dinner details for dinner with ID = 100. On the page, there is a dropdown that shows Dinner 1, Dinner 2, etc. The user should select the dinner of interest (Dinner 2, ID = 102) off the form and press submit. The page should refresh and show the url: localhost/Dinner/102, and show the details of dinner 2. My code is working except for the url. During this, my url shows localhost/Dinner/100 even though it is correctly displaying the details of Dinner 2 (ID = 102).   Hello, I have a Class which models a User and another which models his country. Something like this: public class User{ private Country country; //other attributes and getter/setters } public class Country{ private Integer id; private String name; //other attributes and getter/setters } I have a Spring form where I have a combobox so the user can select his country or can select the undefined option to indicate he doen't want to provide this information. So I have something like this: <form:select path="country"> <form:option value="">-Select one-</form:option> <form:options items="${countries}" itemLabel="name" itemValue="id"/> </form:select> In my controller I get the autopopulated object with the user information and I want to have country set to null when the "-Select one-" option has been selected. So I have set a initBinder with a custom editor like this: @InitBinder protected void initBinder(WebDataBinder binder) throws ServletException { binder.registerCustomEditor(Country.class, "country", new CustomCountryEditor()); } and my editor do something like this: public class CustomCountryEditor(){ @Override public String getAsText() { //I return the Id of the country } @Override public void setAsText(String str) { //I search in the database for a country with id = new Integer(str) //and set country to that value //or I set country to null in case str == null } } When I submit the form it works because when I have country set to null when I have selected "-Select one-" option or the instance of the country selected. The problem is that when I load the form I have a method like the following one to load the user information. @ModelAttribute("user") public User getUser(){ //loads user from database } The object I get from getUser() has country set to a specific country (not a null value), but in the combobox is not selected any option. I've debugged the application and the CustomCountryEditor works good when setting and getting the text, thoughgetAsText method is called for every item in the list "countries" not only for the "country" field. Any idea? Is there a better way to set null the country object when I select no country option in the combobox? Thanks

  We have a ProCurve Switch 2810-48G (J9022A). We need to disable auto negotiation on two ports and manually configure them to be full duplex gige ports. From the web GUI, Configuration Tab, Port Configuration sub tab, I am only presented with the option to configure the port as Auto - 1000. I take this to mean, auto negotiate duplex, manually configure the speed to be gige. From the CLI when I try to set 1000-full I get the following error: Value 1000-full is not applicable to port 39 (or whatever port I try) The exact commands I have entered are: config interface 39 speed-duplex 1000-full BTW: speed-duplex auto-1000 works ( I also tried full-1000 and that did not work either) How do I manually configure the port such that it is manually configured to use full duplex, 1000 mbs?

  Hello, I'm using outlook 2007. Two days ago, we've enabled auto-archiving, maybe that't the source of our problems, but I still have to investigate. At any rate, auto completion of email addresses in the to/cc/bcc fields has become a stopper, taking up to a minute to do something. • How to convert PowerPoint presentations into a Kindle/E-reader friendly form?

  I have a lot of documents in .ppt and .pptx (blame the co-workers). I would like to read them on way home or elsewhere... when I have a little time to catch up with things. One thing I could do with the documents is cutting them together into one file. But saving that one even if a smaller version of PDF (according to Office 2010) results in a huge file. And PDF is hardly readable on a Kindle. I would need something .epub free, easy-on-the-device way. Is there such a thing? (Manually I could copy all the images down into native text and whatnot and create new presentations, save those, convert them. But that would just take a lot of time.)

• Is it possible to write a class that interacts with controls on my WPF form?

  Hi all, I'm trying to write a class that I can use to interact with a group of similar controls in my wpf application. I have hit a few roadblocks and now I am wondering if this is a poor approach to begin with. I want to do this primarily to make my code more manageable - I have to interact with around 200 - 300 controls with my code, and it could get very tricky to have all my code in the main window class. Here's something I'd like to be able to do: class ProcControl { private CheckBox * [] Boxes = new CheckBox[10]; ProcControl() { //set boxes 0-9 to point to the actual checkboxes } //provides mass checking/unchecking functionality public void Refactor(CheckBox box) { //see what box it is int box_index = 0; while (Boxes[box_index] != box) { box_index++; } } } This doesn't work as it is right now. I have not figured out how to get my Boxes[] array to point to the actual checkboxes on my form, so I can't interact with them yet. Is it even possible to make an array that points to a bunch of controls so that I may process their properties in a nice manner? Why can't I access the controls at all from inside my class?

• How does one extract the Canon ip4600 drivers in inf form?

  I have a x64 machine which needs "additional drivers" for x86 clients. The problem I have is I cannot get the proper .inf files so I can use them. Canon only provides an .exe file, which when extracted has other .exe files and some dll files. I believe Canon changed their drivers, because I did have them extracted at one point, but sadly did not save them :(. The drivers are available here. Hopefully I am clear in what I am trying to do. Canon provides the .exe file. The .exe file when extracted does not produce any .inf driver files. Thanks!

  There is a file server in my office that is not connected to my office LAN. In this server there are folders that are shared. This server is connected to a switch and a wireless router. Everyone who wants to access this server uses wireless network connection. They log in to this server by providing user name and password registered to the server. Some people can log in to my office file server by providing user name in (the server name)/(user name) format, while other must use (the server IP address)/(user name) format. Why is it like this? I need everyone can access the file server by providing user name in (the server name)/(user name) format. I have tried to change the %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file, as some suggested, but it won't work. Any other suggestion?

• Making two Windows using CreateWindowsEx() - C

  Hello, I have a windows form that has a simple menu and performs a simple operation, I want to be able to create another windows form with all the functionality of a menu bar, message pump etc.. as a separate thread so I can then share the results of the operation to the second window. I.E. 1) Form A opens Form B opens as a separate thread 2)Form A performs operation 3)Form A passes results via memory to Form B 4)Form B display results I'm confused as to how to go about it, the main app runs fine but i'm not sure how to add a second window if the first one already exists. I think that using CreateWindow will allow me to make another window but again i'm not sure how to access the message pump so I can respond to certain events like WM_CREATE on the second window. I hope it makes sense. Thanks! I would like to implement the following process: User opens up web app in browser In web app, user enters username + password, initiates RADIUS auth Phone factor calls user to complete auth Once user is authenticated, port 3389 is opened on user's IP on pfSense firewall. After some amount of time, firewall rule is removed for that IP I would like to know the following: Is this a typical setup? If it is a bad idea, please explain why. If it is possible, are there any packages that assist with this? Specifically, the third step, where the appropriate firewall rule would need to be added... Edit: I am aware of TS Web Gateway, but I want the users to be able to use the traditional RDP client...

  Notepad++ does auto-complete for html and also for JavaScript. but the auto-completion depends on file extension.html file supports completion for html only. Is there a way to enable auto-completion for javascript in the script tag of an html file? I mean, other than copying the auto-completion keyword list from "javascript.xml" to "html.xml" files... As suggested on stackoverflow, asking on superuser, as I could not find a satisfactory answer there. If anyone has any idea, please let me know! (I hope I am not the only one having this kind of an requirement! :))

• KVM Guest not reachable from host

  Hello, I'm running Ubuntu server 9.10, installed KVM etc. Created the bridge network following instructions on help.ubuntu.com/community/KVM/Networking Created a windows 2008 guest using virt-install command line (using virt-manager GUI from a remote Ubuntu desktop would not let me select the ISO location). I can however use a remote virt-manager to connect to the guest and complete the windows install. Within windows 2008 I changed the IP address but cannot ping from outside world. The bridge network appears fine - I'm not sure what else to look at! Here is the interfaces file: The loopback network interface auto lo iface lo inet loopback The primary network interface auto eth0 iface eth0 inet manual # auto br0 iface br0 inet static address 60.234.64.50 netmask 255.255.255.248 network 60.234.0.0 broadcast 60.234.0.255 gateway 60.234.64.49 bridge_ports eth0 bridge_stp off bridge_fd 0 bridge_maxwait 0 auto eth1 iface eth1 inet static address 192.168.12.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.12.255 The ip of the windows server is 60.234.64.52 What else should I check?   Hi, Using a form in a dialog box I am using Dojo in jsp to save the form in my database. After that request is completed using dojo.xhrPost() I am sending in another request to update a dropdown box that should include the added form object that was just saved, but for some reason the request to update the dropdown is executed before saving the form in the database even though the form save is called first. Using Firebug I can see that the getLocations() request is completed before the sendForm() request. When I look at created RPM file though, i see the following dependencies: rpm -qR -p ZSI-2.1_a1-py25.noarch.rpm /usr/bin/python2.5 python(abi) = 2.5 python25 rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1 rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1 Dependency added by me is present, but other dependencies are also here. I'm unable to provide python(abi) = 2.5 dependency, because of dumb python25 package generated by our IT department where provides tag is incorrect. How do I remove automatically added dependencies from generated RPM?
