    I have a WSUS 3.2 Installed on a Windows Server 2003 R2. SQL Server 2005. I want to move the WSUS DB from this server, to our new SQL Server 2008 R2 on a new Windows Server 2008 R2 Machine.     Recently I have implement apache 2.4.1 in my web server.The problem is the rotate logs seems to be not functioning.Here is the output in the error_log: [core:error] [pid 13060:tid 47015847145408] (2)No such file or directory The command line that i have put in the httpd.conf are such as below: CustomLog "|bin/rotatelogs -l /var/log/logfile.%Y.%m.%d 86400" combined Is there anything wrong here with my setup?For your information I've already tested it in apache 2.2.22 and everythings is perfectly working.     When trying to extract the Glassfish jar file with java -Xmx256m -jar glassfish-installer-v2.1-b60e-linux.jar i get following error: (.:31766): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: and extraction doesn't happen. It somehow assumes i'm on an real machine rather on a SSH shell. How can i solve this?

  • I just restarted Apache and now the server is down

    I am pretty terrified right now. I'm scared I'm going to get a call in a couple minutes from a hundred people saying the website doesn't work. I was at the terminal changing some configuration files when I went to restart the server to update the .conf files with this command: /etc/init.d/apache2 graceful After I ran that, none of the websites work and I have no idea what to do. There are about 100 errors I am getting according to the log files. They all begin with "PHP Notice" and most relate to "use of undefined constant" Also, I just spoke with a coworker, describing what I did, and he noticed that there are two installations of apache on the server and that I restarted the one that we don't use.     We have a backup application that uses the Windows API BackupRead. It works correctly on Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008 R2. It does not work on Storage Server 2008 R2. It always fails with error 50 - The request is not supported. The documentation for BackupRead gives no indication that it will not work with Storage Server 2008 R2. Anyone else have any experience using this API on Storage Server 2008 R2?

  • Set Default 404 error pages across entire instance of IIS

    we are currently using IIS 8 on our new windows VPS. We have a content management system we install for all our apps we build, but we are finding it incredibly painful as our hosting provider requires that we change the default 404 error page from the default settings everytime we create a site. Is there an easy way within IIS to automatically apply this same default directory within each website so we dont need to edit it on every website we build ? thanks in advance

  • Customer Passenger Error Pages

    How do you replace the Passenger Application failed to load error messages. They are lovely, but I'd rather not display them when we move our application to production. It'd be better to just show them on the dev box and maintenance page on the live site. For clarification, this is the call stack page passenger displays when your rails app fails to load. I'd rather not modify the passenger template files directly. Passenger doesn't seem to be respecting: ErrorDocument 500 /500.html

    Hi, I'm using Snow Leopard and I've just downloaded Google Chrome for Mac. However it doesn't load any page: This webpage is not available. Error 104 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_FAILED): The attempt to connect to the server failed. I've googled about it but I had no luck, only answers for Windows.     I have an old Novell server which runs DocsOpen. I know very little about this system, basically we had a disk fault which halted the system. The server was rebooted and came up, I had to manually mount the DATA volume and then reboot again.
