  • JSF Portlets in Liferay on JBoss

    - by JBirch
I'm currently looking at working with and deploying JSF portlets into Liferay 6.0.5, sitting on JBoss 5.1.0. I ran into a lot of trouble trying to port some JSF-y/Seam-y/EJB-y stuff I had lying around, so I thought I'd start simple and work my way up. I could generate generic portlets using the NetBeans Maven archetype for Liferay portlets absolutely fine, but it's rather irrelevant because I wanted JSF portlets I took an example JSF portlet from http://www.liferay.com/downloads/liferay-portal/community-plugins/-/software_catalog/products/5546866 and attempted to deploy into a clean, vanilla installation of Liferay 6.0.5/JBoss 5.1.0 to no avail. The log messages are reproduced at the end of this. This particular example was actually tested for GlassFish and Tomcat, so it's not particularly helpful considering I'm deplying into JBoss. I tried ripping it apart and removing the jsf implementation contained within as there is a jsf implementation shipped with JBoss (Mojarra 1.2_12, in this case). 03:16:17,173 INFO [PortletAutoDeployListener] Copying portlets for /usr/local/[REDACTED]/liferay/liferay-portal-6.0.5/deploy/richfaces-sun-jsf1.2-facelets-portlet-1.2.war Expanding: /usr/local/[REDACTED]/liferay/liferay-portal-6.0.5/deploy/richfaces-sun-jsf1.2-facelets-portlet-1.2.war into /tmp/20110201031617188 Copying 1 file to /tmp/20110201031617188/WEB-INF Copying 1 file to /tmp/20110201031617188/WEB-INF/classes Copying 1 file to /tmp/20110201031617188/WEB-INF/classes Copying 47 files to /usr/local/[REDACTED]/liferay/liferay-portal-6.0.5/jboss-5.1.0/server/default/deploy/richfaces-sun-jsf1.2-facelets-portlet.war Copying 1 file to /usr/local/[REDACTED]/liferay/liferay-portal-6.0.5/jboss-5.1.0/server/default/deploy/richfaces-sun-jsf1.2-facelets-portlet.war Deleting directory /tmp/20110201031617188 03:16:20,075 INFO [PortletAutoDeployListener] Portlets for /usr/local/[REDACTED]/liferay/liferay-portal-6.0.5/deploy/richfaces-sun-jsf1.2-facelets-portlet-1.2.war copied successfully. • NFS issue brings down entire vSphere ESX estate

    - by growse
I experienced an odd issue this morning where an NFS issue appeared to have taken down the majority of my VMs hosted on a small vSphere 5.0 estate. The infrastructure itself is 4x IBM HS21 blades running around 20 VMs. The storage is provided by a single HP X1600 array with attached D2700 chassis running Solaris 11. There's a couple of storage pools on this which are exposed over NFS for the storage of the VM files, and some iSCSI LUNs for things like MSCS shared disks. Normally, this is pretty stable, but I appreciate the lack of resiliancy in having a single X1600 doing all the storage. This morning, in the logs of each ESX host, at around 0521 GMT I saw a lot of entries like this: 2011-11-30T05:21:54.161Z cpu2:2050)NFSLock: 608: Stop accessing fd 0x41000a4cf9a8 3 2011-11-30T05:21:54.161Z cpu2:2050)NFSLock: 608: Stop accessing fd 0x41000a4dc9e8 3 2011-11-30T05:21:54.161Z cpu2:2050)NFSLock: 608: Stop accessing fd 0x41000a4d3fa8 3 2011-11-30T05:21:54.161Z cpu2:2050)NFSLock: 608: Stop accessing fd 0x41000a4de0a8 3 [....] 2011-11-30T06:16:07.042Z cpu0:2058)WARNING: NFS: 283: Lost connection to the server 10.13.111.197 mount point /sastank/VMStorage, mounted as f0342e1c-19be66b5-0000-000000000000 ("SAStank") 2011-11-30T06:17:01.459Z cpu2:4011)NFS: 292: Restored connection to the server 10.13.111.197 mount point /sastank/VMStorage, mounted as f0342e1c-19be66b5-0000-000000000000 ("SAStank") 2011-11-30T06:25:17.887Z cpu3:2051)NFSLock: 608: Stop accessing fd 0x41000a4c2b28 3 2011-11-30T06:27:16.063Z cpu3:4011)NFSLock: 568: Start accessing fd 0x41000a4d8928 again 2011-11-30T06:35:30.827Z cpu1:2058)WARNING: NFS: 283: Lost connection to the server 10.13.111.197 mount point /tank/ISO, mounted as 5acdbb3e-410e56e3-0000-000000000000 ("ISO (1)") 2011-11-30T06:36:37.953Z cpu6:2054)NFS: 292: Restored connection to the server 10.13.111.197 mount point /tank/ISO, mounted as 5acdbb3e-410e56e3-0000-000000000000 ("ISO (1)") 2011-11-30T06:40:08.242Z cpu6:2054)NFSLock: 608: Stop accessing fd 0x41000a4c3e68 3 2011-11-30T06:40:34.647Z cpu3:2051)NFSLock: 568: Start accessing fd 0x41000a4d8928 again 2011-11-30T06:44:42.663Z cpu1:2058)WARNING: NFS: 283: Lost connection to the server 10.13.111.197 mount point /sastank/VMStorage, mounted as f0342e1c-19be66b5-0000-000000000000 ("SAStank") 2011-11-30T06:44:53.973Z cpu0:4011)NFS: 292: Restored connection to the server 10.13.111.197 mount point /sastank/VMStorage, mounted as f0342e1c-19be66b5-0000-000000000000 ("SAStank") 2011-11-30T06:51:28.296Z cpu5:2058)NFSLock: 608: Stop accessing fd 0x41000ae3c528 3 2011-11-30T06:51:44.024Z cpu4:2052)NFSLock: 568: Start accessing fd 0x41000ae3b8e8 again 2011-11-30T06:56:30.758Z cpu4:2058)WARNING: NFS: 283: Lost connection to the server 10.13.111.197 mount point /sastank/VMStorage, mounted as f0342e1c-19be66b5-0000-000000000000 ("SAStank") 2011-11-30T06:56:53.389Z cpu7:2055)NFS: 292: Restored connection to the server 10.13.111.197 mount point /sastank/VMStorage, mounted as f0342e1c-19be66b5-0000-000000000000 ("SAStank") 2011-11-30T07:01:50.350Z cpu6:2054)ScsiDeviceIO: 2316: Cmd(0x41240072bc80) 0x12, CmdSN 0x9803 to dev "naa.600508e000000000505c16815a36c50d" failed H:0x0 D:0x2 P:0x0 Valid sense data: 0x5 0x24 0x0. 2011-11-30T07:03:48.449Z cpu3:2051)NFSLock: 608: Stop accessing fd 0x41000ae46b68 3 2011-11-30T07:03:57.318Z cpu4:4009)NFSLock: 568: Start accessing fd 0x41000ae48228 again (I've put a complete dump from one of the hosts on pastebin: http://pastebin.com/Vn60wgTt) When I got in the office at 9am, I saw various failures and alarms and troubleshooted the issue. It turned out that pretty much all of the VMs were inaccessible, and that the ESX hosts either were describing each VM as 'powered off', 'powered on', or 'unavailable'. The VMs described as 'powered on' where not in any way reachable or responding to pings, so this may be lies. There's absolutely no indication on the X1600 that anything was awry, and nothing on the switches to indicate any loss of connectivity. I only managed to resolve the issue by rebooting the ESX hosts in turn. I have a number of questions: What the hell happened? If this was a temporary NFS failure, why did it put the ESX hosts into a state from which a reboot was the only recovery? In the future, when the NFS server goes a little off-piste, what would be the best approach to add some resilience? I've been looking at budgeting for next year and potentially have budget to purchase another X1600/D2700/disks, would an identical mirrored disk setup help to mitigate these sorts of failures automatically? • ftp connection problem, vsftp server, active mode

    - by Mark Szente
    I have a server that runs vsftpd to handle ftp connections. One of my users have a notebook with Total Commander and WinSCP installed. Both ftp clients fail right after the connection is established to the server and it tries to download the directory listing without any particular error message. The weird thing is: the notebook works perfectly ok with other ftp servers. My ftp server also works well with other clients. In fact, this user also has a pc running on the same LAN as the notebook and the pc works well with the ftp server. We use active ftp connection mode. Passive mode works well but is not an option at this point. I would post more technical details but I don't even know what this problem is related to. Anyway, below is the server side tcpdump for the failed connection attempt. There's no further communication between the client and the server after the last line of log. Thank you very much for any hint! 23:39:24.514852 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: S 1314489715:1314489715(0) win 65535 <mss 1460,nop,wscale 3,nop,nop,sackOK> 23:39:24.514896 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: S 2633658883:2633658883(0) ack 1314489716 win 5840 <mss 1460,nop,nop,sackOK,nop,wscale 2> 23:39:24.520842 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: . ack 1 win 62500 23:39:24.523803 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 1:21(20) ack 1 win 1460 23:39:24.546858 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 1:15(14) ack 21 win 62497 23:39:24.546902 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: . ack 15 win 1460 23:39:24.547247 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 21:55(34) ack 15 win 1460 23:39:24.762806 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: . ack 55 win 62493 23:39:30.415011 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 15:28(13) ack 55 win 62493 23:39:30.454116 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: . ack 28 win 1460 23:39:31.036283 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 55:78(23) ack 28 win 1460 23:39:31.053018 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 28:34(6) ack 78 win 62490 23:39:31.053042 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: . ack 34 win 1460 23:39:31.053268 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 78:97(19) ack 34 win 1460 23:39:31.068969 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 34:40(6) ack 97 win 62488 23:39:31.069148 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 97:112(15) ack 40 win 1460 23:39:31.069179 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 112:119(7) ack 40 win 1460 23:39:31.076981 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: . ack 119 win 62485 23:39:31.077010 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 119:177(58) ack 40 win 1460 23:39:31.114979 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 40:45(5) ack 177 win 62478 23:39:31.115164 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 177:186(9) ack 45 win 1460 23:39:31.180966 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 45:53(8) ack 186 win 62476 23:39:31.181066 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 186:216(30) ack 53 win 1460 23:39:31.213065 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 53:80(27) ack 216 win 62473 23:39:31.213180 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 216:267(51) ack 80 win 1460 23:39:31.251086 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 80:86(6) ack 267 win 62466 23:39:31.251498 IP 195.70.xx.xx.20 > 62.201.xx.xx.5001: S 2640780713:2640780713(0) win 5840 <mss 1460,sackOK,timestamp 2054371220 0,nop,wscale 2> 23:39:31.290979 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: . ack 86 win 1460 23:39:34.251489 IP 195.70.xx.xx.20 > 62.201.xx.xx.5001: S 2640780713:2640780713(0) win 5840 <mss 1460,sackOK,timestamp 2054374220 0,nop,wscale 2> 23:39:40.249625 IP 195.70.xx.xx.20 > 62.201.xx.xx.5001: S 2640780713:2640780713(0) win 5840 <mss 1460,sackOK,timestamp 2054380220 0,nop,wscale 2> 23:39:43.695108 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.1057: P 2280716551:2280716588(37) ack 3838413728 win 5840 23:39:52.248791 IP 195.70.xx.xx.20 > 62.201.xx.xx.5001: S 2640780713:2640780713(0) win 5840 <mss 1460,sackOK,timestamp 2054392220 0,nop,wscale 2> 23:40:16.245159 IP 195.70.xx.xx.20 > 62.201.xx.xx.5001: S 2640780713:2640780713(0) win 5840 <mss 1460,sackOK,timestamp 2054416221 0,nop,wscale 2> 23:40:29.853685 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.1057: FP 37:51(14) ack 1 win 5840 23:40:31.241951 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 267:304(37) ack 86 win 1460 23:40:31.381708 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: . ack 304 win 62462

  • Mac Server bizzare routing table

    - by The Unix Janitor
My mac routing table usually is very simple. I know it's based on bsd , but what's it doing or trying to do. My routing table is usually very simple however, the second one, default was point to link5 ? Is this normal, or is this IPV6 craziness at work? Can somehelp me understand what OSX/BSD is doing? nternet: Destination Gateway Flags Refs Use Netif Expire default 192.168.1.254 UGSc 22 0 en1 127 127.0.0.1 UCS 0 0 lo0 127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 UH 4 44102 • ftp connection problem, vsftp server, active mode

    - by Mark Szente
    I have a server that runs vsftpd to handle ftp connections. One of my users have a notebook with Total Commander and WinSCP installed. Both ftp clients fail right after the connection is established to the server and it tries to download the directory listing with the following error message: Timeout detected. Could not retrieve directory listing PORT command successful. Consider using PASV. Error listing directory '/'. The weird thing is: the notebook works perfectly ok with other ftp servers. My ftp server also works well with other clients. In fact, this user also has a pc running on the same LAN as the notebook and the pc works well with the ftp server. We use PORT ftp connection mode. Passive mode works well but is not an option at this point. I would post more technical details but I don't even know what this problem is related to. Anyway, below is the server side tcpdump for the failed connection attempt. There's no further communication between the client and the server after the last line of log. Thank you very much for any hint! 23:39:24.514852 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: S 1314489715:1314489715(0) win 65535 <mss 1460,nop,wscale 3,nop,nop,sackOK> 23:39:24.514896 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: S 2633658883:2633658883(0) ack 1314489716 win 5840 <mss 1460,nop,nop,sackOK,nop,wscale 2> 23:39:24.520842 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: . ack 1 win 62500 23:39:24.523803 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 1:21(20) ack 1 win 1460 23:39:24.546858 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 1:15(14) ack 21 win 62497 23:39:24.546902 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: . ack 15 win 1460 23:39:24.547247 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 21:55(34) ack 15 win 1460 23:39:24.762806 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: . ack 55 win 62493 23:39:30.415011 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 15:28(13) ack 55 win 62493 23:39:30.454116 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: . ack 28 win 1460 23:39:31.036283 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 55:78(23) ack 28 win 1460 23:39:31.053018 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 28:34(6) ack 78 win 62490 23:39:31.053042 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: . ack 34 win 1460 23:39:31.053268 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 78:97(19) ack 34 win 1460 23:39:31.068969 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 34:40(6) ack 97 win 62488 23:39:31.069148 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 97:112(15) ack 40 win 1460 23:39:31.069179 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 112:119(7) ack 40 win 1460 23:39:31.076981 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: . ack 119 win 62485 23:39:31.077010 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 119:177(58) ack 40 win 1460 23:39:31.114979 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 40:45(5) ack 177 win 62478 23:39:31.115164 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 177:186(9) ack 45 win 1460 23:39:31.180966 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 45:53(8) ack 186 win 62476 23:39:31.181066 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 186:216(30) ack 53 win 1460 23:39:31.213065 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 53:80(27) ack 216 win 62473 23:39:31.213180 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 216:267(51) ack 80 win 1460 23:39:31.251086 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: P 80:86(6) ack 267 win 62466 23:39:31.251498 IP 195.70.xx.xx.20 > 62.201.xx.xx.5001: S 2640780713:2640780713(0) win 5840 <mss 1460,sackOK,timestamp 2054371220 0,nop,wscale 2> 23:39:31.290979 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: . ack 86 win 1460 23:39:34.251489 IP 195.70.xx.xx.20 > 62.201.xx.xx.5001: S 2640780713:2640780713(0) win 5840 <mss 1460,sackOK,timestamp 2054374220 0,nop,wscale 2> 23:39:40.249625 IP 195.70.xx.xx.20 > 62.201.xx.xx.5001: S 2640780713:2640780713(0) win 5840 <mss 1460,sackOK,timestamp 2054380220 0,nop,wscale 2> 23:39:43.695108 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.1057: P 2280716551:2280716588(37) ack 3838413728 win 5840 23:39:52.248791 IP 195.70.xx.xx.20 > 62.201.xx.xx.5001: S 2640780713:2640780713(0) win 5840 <mss 1460,sackOK,timestamp 2054392220 0,nop,wscale 2> 23:40:16.245159 IP 195.70.xx.xx.20 > 62.201.xx.xx.5001: S 2640780713:2640780713(0) win 5840 <mss 1460,sackOK,timestamp 2054416221 0,nop,wscale 2> 23:40:29.853685 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.1057: FP 37:51(14) ack 1 win 5840 23:40:31.241951 IP 195.70.xx.xx.21 > 62.201.xx.xx.2241: P 267:304(37) ack 86 win 1460 23:40:31.381708 IP 62.201.xx.xx.2241 > 195.70.xx.xx.21: . ack 304 win 62462

I'm at a loss to figure out what's going on. How can I find out what's causing this? Update: The system is a fully 64-bit system, so there should be no question of memory limitations due to 32-bit issues. Update2: As I mentioned in the original question, I've already tried tuning swappiness to all sorts of values, including 0. The result is always the same, with approximately 1.6 GB of memory remaining unused. Update3: Added top output to the above info.

  • IEnumerable<CustomType> in PowerShell

    - by svick
I'm trying to use Enumerable.ToList() in PowerShell. Apparently, to do that, I have to explicitly convert the object to IEnumerable<CustomType>, but I am unable to do that. It seems I can't correctly write IEnumerable<CustomType> in PowerShell. Both IEnumerable<string> and CustomType itself work correctly (the custom type I'm trying to use is called WpApiLib.Page), so I don't know what can I be doing wrong. • CSS positioning breaks in Safari

    - by user298638
Hi all, i have a website in which i am trying to position (using CSS) a certain on the page. the is absolutely positioned and is located inside a relatively positioned paernt . on firefox and even IE it looks ok but on Safari, things get messy and it shows 5 pixels lower than it should. i have tried to figure out for days now what is wrong there but cannot seem to see it. you can find an example link to the problematic page here: http://yaronattar.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=117:the-new-lovers-2010&catid=51:the-new-lovers-2010&Itemid=242 the problematic is the one conaining the "previous/next" navigation at the bottom right corner of the page. anyone sees what is causing the trouble here? thanks

  • nmake makefile, linking objects files in a subfolder

    - by Gauthier
My makefile defines a link command: prod_link = $(LINK) $(LINK_FLAGS) -o$(PROD_OUT) $(PROD_OBJS) where $(PROD_OBJS) is a list of object files of the form: PROD_OBJS = objfile1.obj objfile2.obj objfile3.obj ... objfileN.obj Now the makefile itself is at the root of my project directory. It gets messy to have object and listing files at the root, I'd like to put them in a subfolder. Building and outputing the obj files to a subfolder works, I'm doing it with suffixes and inference: .s.obj: $(ASSEMBLY) $(FLAGS) $*.s -o Objects\$*.obj The problem is to pass the Objects folder to the link command. I tried: prod_link = $(LINK) $(LINK_FLAGS) -o$(PROD_OUT) Objects\$(PROD_OBJS) but only the first file in the list of object files gets the folder's name. How can I pass the Objects subfolder to all files of my list $(PROD_OBJS)? EDIT I tried also PROD_OBJS = $(patsubst %.ss,Object\%.obj, $(PROD_SRC)) but got: makefile(51) : fatal error U1000: syntax error : ')' missing in macro invocation Stop. This is quite strange...

  • Preview label written in Eltron Programming Language EPL?

I have code produced by our proprietry system in the Eltron Programming Language: This is sent to Eltron/Zebra label printers to be printed. Is there some kind of software that would allow me to interpret this code to do some form of 'print preview'? I am considering developing a way to convert this into an image or even postscript pdf, but I am struggling with how to do the barcodes (the lines starting in B is for barcodes). • SQL Profiler: Read/Write units

    - by Ian Boyd
i've picked a query out of SQL Server Profiler that says it took 1,497 reads: EventClass: SQL:BatchCompleted TextData: SELECT Transactions.... CPU: 406 Reads: 1497 Writes: 0 Duration: 406 So i've taken this query into Query Analyzer, so i may try to reduce the number of reads. But when i turn on SET STATISTICS IO ON to see the IO activity for the query, i get nowhere close to one thousand reads: Table Scan Count Logical Reads =================== ========== ============= FintracTransactions 4 20 LCDs 2 4 LCTs 2 4 FintracTransacti... 0 0 Users 1 2 MALs 0 0 Patrons 0 0 Shifts 1 2 Cages 1 1 Windows 1 3 Logins 1 3 Sessions 1 6 Transactions 1 7 Which if i do my math right, there is a total of 51 reads; not 1,497. So i assume Reads in SQL Profiler is an arbitrary metric. Does anyone know the conversion of SQL Server Profiler Reads to IO Reads? See also SQL Profiler CPU / duration unit Query Analyzer VS. • ffmpeg - How to determine if -movflags faststart is enabled? PHP

    - by IIIOXIII
While I am able to encode an mp4 file which I can plan on my local windows machine, I am having trouble encoding files to mp4 which are readable when streaming by safari, etc. After a bit of reading, I believe my issue is that I must move the metadata from the end of the file to the beginning in order for the converted mp4 files to be streamable. To that end, I am trying to find out if the build of ffmpeg that I am currently using is able to use the -movflags faststart option through php - as my current outputted mp4 files are not working when streamed online. This is the way I am now echoing the -help, -formats, -codecs, but I am not seeing anything about -movflags faststart in any of the lists: exec($ffmpegPath." -help", $codecArr); for($ii=0;$ii<count($codecArr);$ii++){ echo $codecArr[$ii].'</br>'; } Is there a similar method of determining if -movflags fastart is available to my ffmpeg build? Any other way? Should it be listed with any of the previously suggested commands? -help/-formats? Can someone that knows it is enabled in their version of ffmpeg check to see if it is listed under -help or -formats, etc.? TIA. • problem with creating a new module using vtlib 2.1 for vtiger CRM 5.0.4

I have created a new module in vtigerCRM using the vtlib 2.1 api doc as provided in the following link. http://wiki.vtiger.com/index.php/Vtiger_CRM_5_Developer_Guide/VTLIB Though the module appears to have been created successfully I am getting the following error when I try to add a new record. • To stop returning through SSH using Pexpect

    - by chrissygormley
Hello, I am trying to use pexpect to ssh into a computer but I do not want to return back to the original computer. The code I have is: #!/usr/bin/python2.6 import pexpect, os def ssh(): # Logs into computer through SSH ssh_newkey = 'Are you sure you want to continue connecting' # my ssh command line p=pexpect.spawn('ssh build@10.51.11.10') i=p.expect([ssh_newkey,'password:',pexpect.EOF]) p.sendline("password") i=p.expect('-bash-3.2') print os.getcwd() ssh() This allows me to ssh into the computer but when I run the os.getcwd() the pexpect has returned me to the original computer. You see I want to ssh into another computer and use their environment not drag my environment using pexpect. Can anyone suggest how to get this working or an alternative way. Thanks

  • perl TemplateToolkit - Can't locate object method "new" via package

    - by simnom
Hi, I have inherited a web project that is perl based and I'm attempting to set up a local testing server so changes can be made internally to the project. The server architecture Ubuntu 9.10 php 5.2.10 mysql 5.1.37 perl 5.10.0-24ubuntu4 All the dependent modules and packages are installed such as DateTime.pm, TemplateToolkit.pm but running the application throws the following error message: Can't locate object method "new" via package "Template" (perhaps you forgot to load "Template"?) at ../lib//KPS/TemplateToolkit.pm line 51 The code block that this refers to is: sub new { return Template->new( INCLUDE_PATH => $KPS::Config::templatepath, ABSOLUTE => 1, DEBUG => 1, ); } If anybody is able to shed any light on this or point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Simnom

  • Why does ffmpeg stop randomly in the middle of a process?

    - by acidzombie24
ffmpeg feels like its taking a long time. I then look at my output file and i see it stops between 6 and 8mbs. A fully encoded file is about 14mb. Why does ffmpeg stop? My code locks up on StandardOutput.ReadToEnd();. I had to kill the process (after seeing it not move for more then 10 seconds when i see it update every second previously) then i get the results of stdout and err. stdout is "" stderr is below. The output msg shows the filesize ended. I also see a drop in my CPU usage when it stops. I copyed the argument from visual studios. CD to the same working directory and ran the cmd (bin/ffmpeg) and pasted the argument. It was able to complete. int soundProcess(string infn, string outfn) { string aa, aa2; aa = aa2 = "DEAD"; var app = new Process(); app.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false; app.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = true; app.StartInfo.RedirectStandardError = true; //*/ app.StartInfo.FileName = @"bin\ffmpeg.exe"; app.StartInfo.Arguments = string.Format(@"-i ""{0}"" -ab 192k -y {2} ""{1}""", infn, outfn, param); app.Start(); try { app.PriorityClass = ProcessPriorityClass.BelowNormal; } catch (Exception ex) { if (!Regex.IsMatch(ex.Message, @"Cannot process request because the process .*has exited")) throw ex; } aa = app.StandardOutput.ReadToEnd(); aa2 = app.StandardError.ReadToEnd(); app.WaitForExit(); if (aa2.IndexOf("could not find codec parameters") != -1) return 1; else if (aa == "DEAD" || aa2 == "DEAD") return -1; else if (aa2.Length != 0) return -2; else return 0; } The output of stderr. stdout is empty. I am new to ruby on rails, so don't know much about it. Thanks for your help.

  • "call" instruction that seemingly jumps into itself

    - by Checkers
    I have gcc 4 compiling some C++ code into the following (from objdump): 00000030 <func()>: 30: 55 push %ebp 31: 89 e5 mov %esp,%ebp 33: 56 push %esi 34: 31 f6 xor %esi,%esi 36: 53 push %ebx 37: bb 00 00 00 00 mov $0x0,%ebx 3c: 83 ec 40 sub $0x40,%esp 3f: c7 04 24 01 00 00 00 movl $0x1,(%esp) 46: e8 fc ff ff ff call 47 <func()+0x17> 4b: 8d 55 ec lea 0xffffffec(%ebp),%edx 4e: 89 14 24 mov %edx,(%esp) 51: 89 5c 24 04 mov %ebx,0x4(%esp) 55: 89 74 24 08 mov %esi,0x8(%esp) 59: 89 44 24 0c mov %eax,0xc(%esp) ; the rest of the function is omitted I can't understand the operand of call instruction here, why does it call into itself, but with one byte off?

  • XPath to find ancestor node containing CSS class

    - by Juan Mendes
    I am writing some Selenium tests and I need to be able to find an ancestor of a WebElement that I have already found. This is what I'm trying but is returning no results // checkbox is also a WebElement WebElement container = checkbox.findElement(By.xpath( "current()/ancestor-or-self::div[contains(@class, 'x-grid-view')]") ); The image below shows the div that I have selected highlighted in dark blue and the one I want to find with an arrow pointing at it. UPDATE Tried prestomanifesto's suggestion and got the following error [cucumber] org.openqa.selenium.InvalidSelectorException: The given selector ./ancestor::div[contains(@class, 'x-grid-view']) is either invalid or does not result in a WebElement. The following error occurred: [cucumber] [InvalidSelectorError] Unable to locate an element with the xpath expression ./ancestor::div[contains(@class, 'x-grid-view']) because of the following error: [cucumber] [Exception... "The expression is not a legal expression." code: "51" nsresult: "0x805b0033 (NS_ERROR_DOM_INVALID_EXPRESSION_ERR)" location: "file:///C:/Users/JUAN~1.MEN/AppData/Local/Temp/anonymous849245187842385828webdriver-profile/extensions/fxdriv Update 2 Really weird, even by ID is not working [cucumber]       org.openqa.selenium.NoSuchElementException: Unable to locate element:{"method":"xpath","selector":"./ancestor::div[@id='gridview-1252']"}
