• Scrolling Panel Printing Issue

  Hi I have a site where we have the content in scrolling panels to make it neater and line up. The issue comes when trying to print the contents of my panel hidden by the scroll. Here is my panel <asp:Panel Height="400px" ID="pnlContent" class="ContentPanel ScrollBars="Vertical" runat="server" > <!-- Content bla bla bla --> </asp:Panel> Here is my media="print" style sheet code for the ContentPanel .ContentScroller { overflow:visible; } The overflow:visible does not seem to remover the ScrollBars="Vertical" Any ideas on how to get this hidden content to print?

• Centering images php

  I'm trying to center an image in php. I'm currently using this line of code echo '<img src="newimage.jpg" width="110" height="120" class="centre">'; However, this seems to have no effect. I've also tried using something like this, img.center { display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; } <img src="newimage.jpg" alt="Suni" class="center" /> but this merely gives me a syntax error, how do I go about fixing this?   Please see pic, this is what I want to do. I am really struggling to bloody do it lol. The master div, is 600px wide ( blue bg ) and need splitting into two areas, left for the image and right for the text etc. Ignore the vertical divider line The left hand div, is approx 200px wide, and need to specify a min-height of 100px, as the placeholder image which is centered to that div 50% 50% will change size, as I will be adding another div like this with larger image placeholder. The right part contains the header tag, description, button and second description. I have already constructed this and works fine in chrome and ff, but not in ie. So could you guys have a think, and give me some code that complies in all browsers. It is officially doing my head in now. Screenpic of it working in ff and chrome below:

• Is it possible to use an incremental value within a variable name whilst declaring it within a loop?

  Hi, I'm creating function which will read different XML files each time that will contain different amounts of the same nodes. I have already created a loop which stores the ID of each node into an array, and now I want to create variables for each array member which store attributes of the node with each ID. Because the number of nodes will be different for every XML document my function reads, I cannot manually assign variables for the attributes of each node ID not knowing how many to assign, so I have created a loop which runs specific to the number of items I have stored in the array. Inside this loop I was hoping to have something like: for (i=0; i<array.length; i++) { var ID + i + width = exampleheight var ID + i + height = exampleheight } I know this doesn't work, but was trying to outline what I am looking to find out. Is it possible to use some kind of variable or random number when declaring a variable?

• SSRS 2008 Report.GetDefaultPageSettings returns incorrect information

  I have an application that retrieves a report from SSRS 2008 and prints it automatically. This works except it always prints the report in Letter/Portrait. This particular report is Letter/Landscape. I have tracked the problem down to when calling the Report.GetDefaultPageSettings() function for this report, it returns PaperSize.Height = 1100 and PaperSize.Width = 850. I even modified the report to a custom size of 11" x 8.4" and it still returns 850 for the width. I cannot get this to print correctly when it renders the image incorrectly based on these settings. The report prints correctly when accessed by a web browser. It is only when I am trying to automatically print it that the issue appears.

• Accessing XAML Object Variables in XAML

  So, what I'm trying to do is access my Form's width and/or height to use in a storyboard. Essentially, I have a Translate Transform animation to slide what are essentially two pages. The animation works fine with hard coded From/To variables, however I need to use soft variables that enable the animation to start from the left/right of my form no matter what size it is. <Storyboard x:Key="SlideLeftToRight" TargetProperty="RenderTransform.(TranslateTransform.X)" AccelerationRatio=".4" DecelerationRatio=".4"> <DoubleAnimation Storyboard.TargetName="PageViewer" Duration="0:0:0.6" From="WindowWidth" To="0"/> <DoubleAnimation Storyboard.TargetName="BorderVisual" Duration="0:0:0.6" From="0" To="NegativeWindowWidth"/> </Storyboard> However, I have no idea how to do so. • Access to bytes array of a Bitmap

  1- In Windows CE, I have a Bitmap object in C#. 2- I have a C function in an extern dll that expects as parameters the pointer to a bytes array that represents an image in RGB565 format, width and height. This function will draw on this array of bytes. So I need to pass the byte array pointer of the Bitmap object, but I can find a practical way to get this pointer. One way is convert this Bitmap into a bytes array using a memory stream or something else, but it will create a new bytes array, so I will keep in memory both object, the Bitmap and the bytes array, but I don’t want it because the few available memory, that’s why I need to access to the bytes array of the bitmap object, not create a new bytes array. Anyone can help me?

• Ideas on limiting content to single printed page?

  I have 5-6 text areas that users fill out in a template (a couple of columns, basically a newsletter format). I'm needing to limit their content to one printed page, but I'm having a hard time coming up with practical solutions. The printed format (margin, font size, etc.) will be the same for all users, as it's printed from a central source. I've had a couple of ideas, but all of them seem rather unreliable and difficult to implement: Determine height of content using JavaScript and estimate the number of printed pages from that. The problem with this is that browser font sizes can vary, it's only a rough estimate (pixels to inches), etc. Limit the number of characters. This is problematic because there are various text fields, certain characters (like M) take up more space than others (like I), and line breaks obviously count for much more. What ideas do you all have? I appreciate your help!

• How to resize pdf graphics produced in R using Illustrator

  I am making plots in R using the pdf() command. Graphs look perfect and resize nicely in Acrobat Reader. My usual workflow includes manipulating labels etc. in Illustrator, saving as .eps for submission to publishers or inserting in Word. All works fine for single graphs. Now I am trying to combine 4 graphs into one by manually putting them together in an A4 Illustrator document. However, when I resize the standard 7x7 inches pdf graph in Illustrator to fit in one column of an A4 page (ca 3.4 inches wide), all proportions get screwed up, e.g. lines and symbols outlines become way too thick. Using pdf(..., width=3.4, height=3.4) in R messes up all the symbol and font sizes so carefully chosen to produce the original graph. Why can't I resize the graph within Illustrator the same way I can resize the pdf e.g. in Acrobat Reader?

• How to center text in a select list

  I'm having trouble styling a select list in an html form. Basically I want it to have a font size of 12px, and a height of 30px; The problem is that the box is drawn to the right hight, but the text rendering varies in each browser. In FireFox it renders it in the top left corner. I want to vertically center the text. Anyone know of a way to do this or do I need to make something custom out of a ul? Thanks

• Nivo Slider thumbnails not displaying properly in IE

  Making a new site but something is happening to it in IE. I've purchased the Nivo Slider for wordpress plugin and it working fine however it's not displaying the thumbnails under the banner in IE. This is what it looks like in firefox This is what it looks like in IE Because this is a plugin (and the website isn't giving me any support after 2 days) I dont really have the source CSS but I was hoping you could take a look at it with come developer tools to see why it might not be showing in IE? I want the image to be in the html to avoid multiple h3 classes as this is being done for a portfolio and there will be about 10 h3 tags on the page. • AJAX Autocomplete appears at a random vertical position, not touching the textbox

  Hi, I am using the AJAX Autocomplete extender for ASP.NET 2. Everything works fine...I am calling a webservice which gets me the values to fill the drop down with after 3 letters are typed into certain es. I have set the maxheight attribute and am using a scrollbar in case there are more entries than would fit that height. However, I notice that in some cases, the drop down appears at a random position on the screen, i.e. rather than connected to the relevant textbox, sometimes it appears with its entries above the textbox, not touching it at all. Sometimes it would have just one entry and it would appear in the middle of the screen vertically above the textbox it is associated to. Is there a reason why this is happening?

• Two Column Theme, Help, to make both columns seperately Scrollable.

  Hey, I am not sure what to do on this one, I'm not a programmer, but trying to learn CSS as this is how the theme I am using was coded in. I've gotten quite far on my own, but this one stumps me Its two column Theme... As far as I have been able to get, I can use the following: #left { width: 235px; padding: 10px; margin-left: 20px; position: fixed; line-height: 15px; If I change the position to Absolute, The whole page scrolls, If I leave it at Fixed, and add lets say, a Twitter feed, or other type of text that takes me past its reading where you would normally scroll, Its just cut off, cannot get to it, hightlight or scroll.. I've also toyed with the idea, of changing the theme to a 3 column theme, but Again, not a programmer, and i'd be really confused. anyhelp would be great...   the title is somewhat vague, so let me explain I'm trying to ask the user for a value of some variable, but at the same time, showing him the last value used (at the termination of the program, the values are saved to a file, and loaded at the start of the program). Something like this: Enter new radius value (R=12.6) : ... user enters 12.7 ... Enter new pi value (pi=3.14) : Enter new height value (h=30.0) : Usually I would write the first one with write statement, then read the new one (in fortran, for example). In matlab however, I don't know how to write something out with input statement. Are there some other statements for getting input ? All your thoughts on the subject appreciated.
