• Samsung TV Emulator font size

  Can someone please help me with this issue. I've been banging my head to find the solution but no help... The problem is that Samsung TV Emulator displays everything enlarged (line font-size 30ish pixels) and there does seem to have a way to override it. This only happens within Samsung UI components. To make sure it wasn't something with my project I've downloaded sample project from Brightcove: Sample project but noticed the same behavior with that as well. Here is the screenshot of my "project". It only one scene with two UI components: http://tinypic.com/r/124evqc/6 Opposed to that, here's what I see in my IDE view: http://tinypic.com/r/ezmn4l/6. As a side-note, I had to put height: 20px in both of my UI components' CSS in order for IDE to show them that way. Can anyone suggest what am I supposed to do?

  Hi, i would like to add an image that acts like a border after every list in the sidebar. I knew it has something to do with this #sidebar h2 { border-bottom: 1px solid #d6d6d6; } since i tried that code and a border appeared. But what i wanted is a picture, i could do that with in the posts with: .TitleBorder { background: url(images/border.png) repeat-x; height: 3px; width: 615px; } and <div class="TitleBorder"></div> but in sidebar, i can't do that. Any help?

  Hi, I have a jQuery Model windows which contains a form. On creating of the page, I'm able to see the fields although in my dialog, i have set autoOpen to false.   I have a div that I want to have the following characteristics: Width = 50% of its parent element Height equal to whatever it needs to be in order to maintain a certain aspect ratio. I need to use percentages because the object will resize left-right when the browser is resized. I want the object to be resized top-bottom to ensure the object maintains the same aspect ratio. I don't think there's any way to use pure CSS to do this, but does anyone know of a way? Alternatively, is there an easy JavaScript way to do this? (JQuery is fine.)

• How to center text in a select list

  I'm having trouble styling a select list in an html form. Basically I want it to have a font size of 12px, and a height of 30px; The problem is that the box is drawn to the right hight, but the text rendering varies in each browser. In FireFox it renders it in the top left corner. I want to vertically center the text. Anyone know of a way to do this or do I need to make something custom out of a ul? Thanks

  I am coding my website, and a friend of mine was helping me. This code does not work on IE 10 (Windows 7). I even tried the legacy modes and to no avail. Upon clicking on "services" for example, this code would work on FF or Chrome. But, not on IE.   Hi I have an asp:bulletedlist control, which sits inside a div tag, and I need to count the number of list items inside the control. Searching the internet, and noting the fact the html given back by the items is a list i.e. <li>, I thought I could use an example of: var listcontrol = document.getElementById('BulletedList1'); var countItems = listcontrol.getElementByTagName('li').length; However, when I do this, it throws and error saying that no object exists for this control. So, my problem is, and because I must do this clientside because I want to use this to set the height of the div tag, is how do you count the number of items inside a asp:bulletedlist control with javascript?

  Are there any frameworks/libraries that provide servlets/filters etc that handle reencoding on the fly of images. interpret the accept headers and output the file, reencoding into the new format if necessary by checking the actual format of the original image file. provide a low and high quality version of an image. re encode an image into new dimensions. width and height parameters might query string parameters. I could create versions of the file in all the formats, at upload time but the seems overkill. I would rather lazily create the rencoded file and stick it in a cache if it gets served again etc.

• Tkinter mouse event initially triggered

  I'm currently learning Tkinter and I cannot find a solution for my problem here nor outside Stackoverflow. In a nutshell, all events that I bind to my widgets are triggered initialy and don't respond to my actions. • Resize a DIV when its text changes

  I wanted to build a custom html button without using any solution like bootstrap etc. but from scratch. I decided to use a div to build my button with very good results. However, when the text changes its length that does not mean the div will change its width as well. Should I approach this using javascript or is there a CSS solution I am missing. Apologies for missing code: div { position: relative; width: 121px; height: 30px; } I need a minimum width and not a dynamic this is why I used a fixed one. In case there is not a CSS alternative then I will use a javascript approach.

  I can't find this on Google (so maybe it doesn't exist), but I basically'd like to install something on a web server such that I can run a site on Scheme, PHP is starting to annoy me, I want to get rid off it, what I want is: Run Scheme sources towards UTF-8 output (duh) Support for SXML, SXLT et cetera, I plan to compose the damned thing in SXML and - to normal representation on at the end. Ability to read other files from the server, write them, set permissions et cetera Also some things to for instance determine the filesize of files, height of images, mime-types and all that mumbo-jumbo (optionally) connect to a database, but for what I want to do storing the entire database in S-expressions itself is feasible enough I don't need any fancy libraries and other things that come with it like CMS'es and what-not, except the support for SXML but I'm sure I can just find a lib for that anyway that I can load.

• div block going to next line in Firefox

  I have a div with display:block in my css. This div block uses the align = "absmiddle" . It displays all the elements in 1 line in Chrome. However, in firefox, the elements are displyed on to the next line as well. How do I get them to display in 1 single line in firefox. • (iphone) am I creating a leak when creating a new image from an image?

UIImage* image = [[UIImage alloc] initWithData: myData]; image = [image scaleToSize: size]; <- wouldn't this code create a leak since image(before scaling) is lost somewhere? i guess above codes work fine if image was first created with auto-release. But if image was created using 'alloc', it would create a leak in my short knowledge. How should I change scaleToSize: to guard against it? Thank you

• Flex RGBA colors in CSS

  Hello all, I am trying to style a DataGrid component so that the background is transparent (Flex 4). Rgba colors work fine if I make "alternatingItemColors" an attribute on the component, but if I try to declare it in my css stylesheet, I cannot declare the alpha value. Works (mxml): <mx:DataGrid id="songGrid" width="800" height="529" dataProvider="{songs}" itemClick="handleRowClick(event);" x="145" y="168" headerStyleName="dataGridHeader" alternatingItemColors="[0xFFFFFFFF, 0xFFFFFFFF]"> Doesn't Work (css): mx|DataGrid { alternatingItemColors: #FFFFFFFF, #FFFFFFFF; } If I enter the values as "0xFFFFFFFF", I get a parse error, because it's not proper css (of course, most of flex's css isn't proper css, but I digress...). So, is there any way to declare the alpha value of these colors in the css?

Firefox's profiler says I'm spending the most time in this function and I'm curious as to why that is. Is there a way to get the em size in javascript without doing all this work? I would like to recalculate the size on resize incase the user has changed it.

Normally to a Grid or something like that I would just use .Children.Add(MyTextBlock), but that doesn't work here. Also I have to be able to remove specific Items from the ItemsControl again (best would be by the name of the Item, name_ in this example).

• Why are some strings displayed as garbage when I scroll my read-only multiline Win32 edit control ve

  In my native C+ Win32 GUI application I have a property sheet with two property pages. One of the property pages contains an edit box: EDITTEXT IDC_EDIT_ID,x,y,width,height,ES_MULTILINE | ES_READONLY | NOT WS_BORDER | WS_VSCROLL | WS_HSCROLL | NOT WS_TABSTOP,WS_EX_STATICEDGE I set a multiline text to this edit box. The text has more lines than the edit can fit, so some of the text is clipped and a vertical scroll bar appears. When I scroll up with the mouse the lines that come "from under clip area" are drawn as garbage - it looks like first one line is drawn, then some other line is drawn on the same place without first painting the background. The lines that just move up - ones that were visible before scrolling and remain visible after scrolling are displayed allright. What's the reason and workaround for this behavior?
