• Can an interface be implemented across an aggregate/composite class in vb.net?

  VB.NET .NET 3.5 I have an aggregate class called Package as part of a shipping system. Package contains another class, BoxType . BoxType contains information about the box used to ship the package, such as length, width, etc. of the Box. Package has a method called GetShippingRates. This method calls a separate helper class, ShipRater, and passes the Package itself as an argument. ShipRater examines the Package as well as the BoxType, and returns a list of possible shipping rates/methods. What I would like to do is construct an Interface, IRateable, that would be supplied to the helper class ShipRater. So instead of: Class ShipRater Sub New(SomePackage as Package) End Sub End Class we would do: Class ShipRater Sub New(SomePackage as IRateable) End Sub End Class However, ShipRater requires information from both the Package and its aggregate, BoxType. If I write an interface IRateable, then how can I use the BoxType properties to implement part of the Interface? Is this possible?

In IE6 and IE8 under XP, the whole image is indented, not text, so the image is not shown. What should be the right behavior? Is there a workaround?

  I'm trying to set an input box with a specific internal height, and I'm running into issues: font-size: 12px; line-height: 12px; height: 12px; display: block; padding: 5px; Is a sample of what I put in inline styles or stylesheets. I would expect the input box value to be visible at full height, but the inner height of the input box ends up being really small, and it always seems to follow the form: actual inner height = css height - 2*border width - 2*padding Funny, because I swear I've done this before without issue. What am I missing?

  i have created a dynamic table through vb.net, so htmltable, htmltablerow, htmltablecell. I have added all style and properties in there. so eg. dim td as htmltablecell td.style.add("width","100px") td.style.add("color","blue") now what i want to do is add the tag to each row. this is because the first td of every row is a checkbox. and then textboxes follow. So when anyone clicks on the textbox, i want to checkbox to get checked. Any idea how I can do this?

• Canny edge detection - grayscale images always coming up as 3-channel, unusable?

  I am working through the book "Learning OpenCV" from the O'Reilly series and am trying to perform a canny edge detection sample. Any grayscale image I choose seems to come up as having 3 channels, and to the best of my knowledge, canny only works with single channel images, so this always fails. I am even using the images provided by OpenCV. Here is my code.. • jQuery UI Slider - Animation of handle and scroll content not in sync

  Im having troubles getting the jQuery UI Slider customized for my purposes. On load the slider and its content should automatically animate to a certain position. Ideally it should animate to the very right, then stop and then animate back (as a loop) as long as the user doesn't hovers over scroll content or slider. Even if I click on the slider track itself the animation of scroll content and slider handle are not in sync. Does anyone got a solution?

• Trying to integrate Jeditable+MarkItUp and Thickbox/Lightbox

  I've managed to successfully integrate MarkItUp with Jeditable based on the instructions on those two sites. What I would really like to do, however, is to have the Jeditable/MarkItUp editing window appear in a Thickbox or Lightbox overlay. So far my attempts to do this have not been successful. So, at the moment, I have the standard code: $.editable.addInputType('markitup', { element : $.editable.types.textarea.element, plugin : function(settings, original) { $('textarea', this).markItUp(settings.markitup); } }); $(".editme").editable("/content/save", { event : 'dblclick', type : 'markitup', submit : 'OK', cancel : 'Cancel', width : 640, height : 'auto', tooltip : 'Double-click to edit...', onblur : 'ignore', markitup : mySettings }); I've found other posts here that show how to trigger the edit box by clicking on a link rather than the object itself, and I've tried integrating that with the Thickbox calls, to no avail. • Hiding flash component scrollbars using object/param syntax

  Hi all, I'm not sure if this is possible (complete non-flash developer speaking), but we have a 3rd party component that we want to only show a certain topleft hand portion of. I've tried limiting the size of the HTML object container as: <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="600" height="415" data="<url>"> <param name="movie" value="<url>" /> <param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /> <param name="flashvars" value="<vars>" /> </object> So limiting it to 600x415, but this causes horizontal and vertical scrollbars as part of the flash component to appear. Is there any standard way to override this behaviour? Thanks.

  I have a dynamic video gallery and it works great on a computer. When moving to an iPad, the video starts loading and it shows the cannot play icon. Instead of this I'd rather the video not show until it's ready to play. I have tried to add events listeners for "canplaythrough" and "canplay" and when they occur for the video to fade in then play. • Alignment of rollover item affected by position of header

  Hi guys, Got a problem where when you rollover "about us" the rollover appeared to the right of the screen exactly 224 pixels from the edge of the browser (maintained this gap when reducing the size of the browser) I fixed it by changing the .css position of the wrapper (from absolute to static) How ever now as you can see in the example ive done the header is aligning to the left: http://jimbeamracing.com.au/navigationtest.htm wrapper{ margin:0 auto; width:994px; position:static; padding:113px 0 0; } Any help would be much appreciated Regards, Steven

  am having Some kendoui listviews which consists of kendoui dropdown lists and i want to get those dropdown list selected values. And also if the value is not selected am getting the first value id by using $("#cnty1").val(); So, please suggest me a solution so that, 1) I should get only the Selected value and 2) Value of the dropdown list Only if the user selects a value from the list, but don't get the value of the list without selecting.

• How can you centre an image within the image control in SQL Server Reporting Services 2008?

  I have got an image in an image control on a report in SSRS 2008. The image is coming from an external source, and varies in width. I would like to centre the image within the control, but the image control does not have an equivalent of the text box's TextAlign property to allow right/left/center alignment to be done automatically. I have seen methods to dynamically calculate the amount of left padding as a hack to solve this, http://blogs.msdn.com/chrishays/archive/2004/10/27/CenteredImages.aspx, but the solution gives an error in SSRS 2008, perhaps not surprising given the age of the article. Has anybody got a solution to this for SSRS 2008?

I just built a Java OpenGL application in Eclipse... and when i was trying to export the application using EclipseP5Exporter, it requires me to initialize the window size (not viewport size, a window may contain several viewports). I already googled some solutions in the net but I can't seem to get anything useful.. I've tried the method : "glutInitWindowSize(int width, int height);" but it seems to work only in C and python openGL. even if i append the glut before the method (glut.glutInitWindowSize()) eclipse doesn't recognize that method.. So if you guys have any suggestions please let me know... Thank you....

  What does the @ symbol mean in LaTeX? I'm looking at the source of apa.cls, and there's a declaration: \newsavebox\gr@box and later on \sbox\gr@box{\includegraphics[width=\linewidth]{#2}}. It seems like @ isn't acting as a normal character, but I can't figure out exactly what it's doing, and couldn't find anything after bit of googling (how I would love a Google regex feature!) Thanks. EDIT: Thanks for the help; of the links I looked through I found http://www.tug.org/pipermail/tugindia/2002-January/000178.html to be very helpful and concise. To summarize, the @ character is not normally allowed in the names of macros, so as a hack for scoping, LaTeX packages declare it internally to be a valid name character and use it for their macros. You can use \makeatletter in a document to access these macros, but you obviously must be very careful since you have can now overwrite essential LaTeX kernel macros; use \makeatother to revert.
