• Accessing a variable passed by jquery using php

  How does php access a variable passed by JQuery? I have the following code: $.post("getLatLong.php", { latitude: 500000}, function(data){ alert("Data Loaded: " + data); }); but I don't understand how to access this value using php. I've tried $userLat=$_GET["latitude"]; and $userLat=$_GET[latitude]; and then I try to print out the value (to check that it worked) using: echo $userLat; but it does not return anything. I can't figure out how to access what is being passed to it.

  Hi Alls, I would like to build a small python script that basicaly does the reverse of grep. I want to match the files in a directory/subdirectory that doesn't have a "searched_string". So far i've done that: import os filefilter = ['java','.jsp'] path= "/home/patate/code/project" for path, subdirs, files in os.walk(path): for name in files: if name[-4:] in filefilter : print os.path.join(path, name) This small script will be listing everyfiles with "java" or "jsp" extension inside each subdirectory, and will output them full path. I'm now wondering how to do the rest, for example i would like to be able if I forgot a session management entry in one file (allowing anyone a direct file access), to search for : "if (!user.hasPermission" and list the file which does not contain this string. Any help would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks

  I tried with below example, it is working fine. I expected it to pick sub-class's value since object won't be created for super class (as it is abstract). But it is picking up super class's field value only.   I am trying to query a bittorrent tracker and am using unpack to get the list of IPs from the response. So, something like this: $ip = unpack("N", $peers); $ip_add = ($ip[1]>>24) . "." . (($ip[1]&0x00FF0000)>>16) . "." . (($ip[1]&0x0000FF00)>>8) . "." . ($ip[1]&0x000000FF); But, for some reason, I am getting the following IP addresses when I print $ip_add: 117.254.136.66 121.219.20.250 -43.7.52.163 Does anyone know what could be going wrong?

• Problem mapping data located in a NSMutableArray

  I have an NSMutableArray which contains some addresses which I need to map using Apple's MapKit SDK which I can't seem to get to load. The NSLog keeps telling me that the data source is (null) and a 0x0 error displays when I attempt to print out the array. Any ideas? The data is parsed and stored from another class, perhaps I'm not linking it across properly? The data is originally gathered from an RSS feed, bought into the app with an IMporter class, and then displayed in a table view. I want to be able to connect into that data with my mapping class, but am struggling to do so.

  I am very new to C++ and I realise the following is not necessarily as easy as I'd like it to be, but I'd really appreciate a more expert opinion. I am essentially trying to achieve a dynamic iteration over a variable sized array of variable sized arrays similar to the following. String *2d_array[][] = {{"A1","A2"},{"B1","B2","B3"},{"C1"}}; for (int i=0; i<2d_array.length; i++) { for (int j=0; j<2d_array[i].length; j++) { print(2d_array[i][j]); } } Is there a reasonable way to do this? • How to kill a quoted string at point in emacs?

  I would like to kill a quoted string in a source file without having to mark the beginning of the string and kill-region, but just by placing the point anywhere inside the quoted string and pressing a shortcut. I tried to write a function in elisp for this, but I figured out that the file would need to be parsed from the beginning up to point to determine whether the point is inside quoted string, and to find the bounds of the quoted string(also handle the \")... But the file is already parsed by font-lock. So now I can find out if I'm inside quoted string: (defun inside-quoted-string? () (interactive) (print (find 'font-lock-doc-face (text-properties-at (point))))) But how do I get the bounds of the string? font-lock knows it, since it nicely highlights it in blue, but how do I get it?

  I'm playing with Python and ctypes and I can't figure out how to resolve this problem. I call to a C function which fills a raw binary data.   I'm trying to print out a html-table from db-table 'dimensions'. I only want dimensions from the selected pipetype which I get from a dropdownbox. For now I just put in "Steel" manually. Steel has pipe_id = 2 in db-table 'pipes'. I've run the first query in my db-tool and it returns 2 so there's nothing wrong there. The second query returns nothing. But when I manually set $wq = 2 (which I comment out below) it prints out the html-table perfectly. I have successfully upload and download the docx file and it look prefect. But how if I would like to just display on screen in php or html format and highlight the keyword. The problem I got now is when I collect the docx file from mysql and echo on page it gave me all messy words and I've try a lot of methods still couldn't get the docx file print on screen. • Wordpress parses wp_posts.post_content before rendering?

  I noticed that when I call the the_post() or the_content() function from my wordpress template, it automatically parses the database data to replace new lines with <br/>, wraps the text with <p> tags etc...There's probably some kind of "format" function within the_post() or the_content(). I wrote a query to directly get posts from the wp_posts. I then print it out like <?php $results = $wp->get_results($sql) foreach($results as $row) echo $row->post_content; ?> Clearly, this data is not parsed by wordpress' "format" function. What is the proper way to output this content such that it undergoes the same "formatting" functions as the_post() or the_content()?

  I have an XmlSerializer object, and I have added 2 event handlers to the UnknownElement and UnknownAttribute events, as below: XmlSerializer xs = new XmlSerialiser(typeof(MyClass)); xs.UnknownAttribute += new XmlAttributeEventHandler(xs_UnknownAttribute); xs.UnknownElement += new XmlElementEventHandler(xs_UnknownAttribute); Each of these event handlers basically do the same thing, they print out the node name or the attribute name causing the issue. But for some reason, an InvalidOperationException is getting thrown saying there is an error in the xml document with . I thought these errors would be caught by my events?

  I can listen to events from a certain topic in an ActiveMQ server using a simple asynchronous listener and print the incoming events to the console (code to that actually comes as an example in the activemq-cpp library). I would like to create clients on other machines that will listen to these events and update their displays. My question is: how to best go about doing this? Are there any Ajax examples you can point me that implement similar functionality? Or is there another technology (comet?) that is better to use for this scenario? How can I display the events in teh browser window as they are received by the client, should I use JQuery?

  If I have a SQL statement such as: SELECT TOP 5 * FROM Person WHERE Name LIKE 'Sm%' ORDER BY ID DESC PRINT @@ROWCOUNT -- shows '5' Is there anyway to get a value like @@ROWCOUNT that is the actual count of all of the rows that match the query without re-issuing the query again sans the TOP 5? The actual problem is a much more complex and intensive query that performs beautifully since we can use TOP n or SET ROWCOUNT n but then we cannot get a total count which is required to display paging information in the UI correctly. Presently we have to re-issue the query with a @Count = COUNT(ID) instead of *.

• How do I make a defaultdict safe for unexpecting clients?

  Several times (even several in a row) I've been bitten by the defaultdict bug. d = defaultdict(list) ... try: v = d["key"] except KeyError: print "Sorry, no dice!" For those who have been bitten too, the problem is evident: when d has no key 'key', the v = d["key"] magically creates an empty list and assigns it to both d["key"] and v instead of raising an exception. Which can be quite a pain to track down if d comes from some module whose details one doesn't remember very well. I'm looking for a way to take the sting out of this bug. For me, the best solution would be to somehow disable a defaultdict's magic before returning it to the client.
