  • How can I get the same strstream functionality now that's deprecated?

    I use to write code like this: void fun(char *buff, unsigned size) { std::strstream str(buff, size); str << "hello world: " << 5; } so I can use stream output over an arbitrary buffer. I've found this technique both efficient (no allocations) and useful (streams!). Now that std::strstream is deprecated, how can I get the same speed+flexibility that I can get with this code?

    Hello, I am working on Silverlight project. I added a custom user control (Say, control1) which has a text box and button to a xaml page (Say, Page1). Now what I want to do is when users clicks on the button, i want to pass the value in the textbox to Page1 and do something.     Hello, I'm trying to recreate a sort of table layout of a contact form. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? The style (CSS) for that part, is nearly 100% copied over, only that I've changed the font, but kept within same family.

I really only want to select the last div with .leftMenuProductButton within .leftMenuProductWrapper Anyway to do this without using Jquery, just pure CSS?

    Hello, i'm using mootools.js, i have this code: this.html.chat_title = new Element('span', {'id' : 'chat_title', html : 'this is the title'}).inject(this.html.container); The problem is: span id="chat_title" html="this is the title" as you see it doesn't put the text inside the HTML of the tag but as an attribute.     Hello. I have a control with two buttons (zoom in, zoom out). Both buttons have onClick event that handle the zoom. When any of the button is pressed, the button gets focus and bolds its border and text. Is there a way to disable/remove focus? Actually the solution im looking for would be that on mouseDown the button would receive focus and would lose it on mouseUp. thanx !

    Hello: I have a simple webpage that displays the credit balance for calling cards. So far without any problems, with HTML, PHP and mysql, I was able to retrieve the balance from a data base. But I have to display the result in ANOTHER PAGE, wich looks akward because the page must reload. I'm trying to rotate my view in Interface Builder, and everyone refers to the rotate icon in the top right of the view. My Interface Builder doesn't have this icon.
