  • (Pivot) tables generation

    Hello. We use Excel VBA to load data using SQL, process it and generate (pivot) tables. I wonder if there any other decent alternatives. I've been thinking on PDF generation but not sure if there are handy tools to construct pivot tables. Important requirement is the ability to print data correctly, so that everything fits on the page(s). Thanks.

    Hello I have a Flex datagrid linked to an array collection that gets filled from a FileReferenceList for uploading images to a server. I want to show a thumbnail of the image in one of the grid columns as a preview. I have seen a lot of examples of doing this with an Item Render but those examples where using images on the server. These images are on the client pc waiting to be uploaded?

  • C# 'could not found' existing method

    Greetings! I've been fooling around (a bit) with C# and its assemblies. And so i've found such an interesting feature as dynamic loading assemblies and invoking its class members. A bit of google and here i am, writing some kind of 'assembly explorer'. (i've used some portions of code from here, here and here and none of 'em gave any of expected results). But i've found a small bug: when i tried to invoke class method from assembly i've loaded, application raised MissingMethod exception. I'm sure DLL i'm loading contains class and method i'm tryin' to invoke (my app ensures me as well as RedGate's .NET Reflector): The main application code seems to be okay and i start thinking if i was wrong with my DLL... Ah, and i've put both of projects into one solution, but i don't think it may cause any troubles. And yes, DLL project has 'class library' target while the main application one has 'console applcation' target. So, the question is: what's wrong with 'em?   • Fast method of directory enumeration on Win32?

    Hello everyone :) I'm trying to speedup directory enumeration in C++, where I'm recursing into subdirectories. I currently have an app which spends 95% of it's time in FindFirst/FindNextFile APIs, and it takes several minutes to enumerate all the files on a given volume. I know it's possible to do this faster because there is an app that does: Everything. It enumerates my entire drive in seconds. How might I accomplish something like this?

  • ScrollView with scrollViews - what is the right way to do it?

    Hello! Client wants some tricky stuff and i don't really know where to start with it. The idea is that there is a horizontal scrollView whose each page consists of a vertical scrollView. For example, on the horizontal axis there are galleries, on the vertical we scroll through selected gallery's images. Is this even possible? I'd be very glad to hear comments on this one!

  • Messenger -"Register" an instance and not a type with the MVVM Light Toolkit?

    Hello i'm consfused using the Messenger class of MVVM Light. I have a ProductsViewModel that can get initialized a number of times. In the constructor of ProductsViewModel I have this code: Messenger.Default.Register(this, n = MessageBox.Show(n.Test)); The problem is, if I have 2 instances of ProductsViewModel, then Messenger gets registered twice. Is is bad to Register the Messenger in a constructor? Hope this makes sense!

    Hello, I have just started learning Haskell and have got stumped on how to add a rating to a custom data type. The data type I'm using has a name, a year and a tuple (userName and their rating), it looks like: data Wine = Wine String Int [Rating] deriving (Eq,Ord,Show,Read) type Rating = (String, Int) I wanted to allow a user to rate a given wine from a database, stored as [Wine] but cant figure out how to to it.     hello all i am using upload files to server in my application, it works fine , i want other users could download these file ,but i get error i created a upload folder in public folder and i upload my files in upload folder now when i create a link (<a href="http://mytest/public/1.jpg">download image</a>) to these files i get error "The requested URL /public/upload/1.jpg was not found on this server." how should i use routing for download these files? someone may help please thanks
