    Hello, I am passing a lot of data between PHP and JavaScript. I am using JSON and json_encode in php, but the problem here is that I am passing a lot of numbers stored as strings - for example, numbers like 1.2345. Is there a way to pass the data directly as numbers (floats, integers) and not have to convert it to ASCII and then back? Thanks,

    Hello, Is there a way to read a file in PHP5 from line X to line Y into a string, without reading the entire file. I would like to return huge files (10,000+ lines) using ajax requests. Each request will provide the client with additional lines. And due to the fact that the file can reach large sizes, I would like to avoid reading it whole over and over again. Thank you.

  • HTML5 Offline Storage on iPad and iPhone BUG

    Hello everyone, I created a manifest file with 1000 items. Safari, Mozilla browsers are saving the files offline successfully and even Android saves the files correctly offline. On iPad and iPhone when I am trying to save more than 300 items in some point the applicationCache returns "error". When I am trying to save less (e.x.: 200) it saves the files correctly and the applicationCache returns "cached". Any ideas? Thank you.

  • 50 million+ Rows of Data - CSV or MySQL

    Hello, I have a CSV file which is about 1GB big and contains about 50million rows of data, I am wondering is it better to keep it as a CSV file or store it as some form of a database. I don't know a great deal about MySQL to argue for why I should use it or another database framework over just keeping it as a CSV file. I am basically doing a Breadth-First Search with this dataset, so once I get the initial "seed" set the 50million I use this as the first values in my queue. Thanks,

Actually this works fine: var para = ' { "Parameter" : { "ID" : "5", "Name" : "Peter" } }' $.ajax({ type: "POST", contentType: "application/json", data: para, url: url success: success }); But I don't want to pass the data parameter as String and I think it should be possible to pass ist as array in any way.     hello, today i wrote a windows service which needs to send regular http requests to a server. the problem is that the service runs under the "SYSTEM" account as local service and as such a type of service it isn't allowed to access the network.. for installing the service i use this class: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/152585/ServiceInstaller.cs is there a way to send http requests in a .net c# windows service and get the http response? thanks. :)

    Hello, I have been using the following CSS to apply an effect at the bottom of elements in a menu: .leftMenuProductWrapper div:last-child{margin-bottom:20px;} This works fine initially, however after adding more elements in the menu, I realized it was a problem. I really only want to select the last div with .leftMenuProductButton within .leftMenuProductWrapper Anyway to do this without using Jquery, just pure CSS?
