• iPhone SDK Push Notification

  I have setup push notifications in the apple developer panel and added the code to my application. • Get a list of members of a WinNT group (C#)

  There are a couple of questions similar to this on stack overflow but not quite the same. I want to open, or create, a local group on a win xp computer and add members to it, domain, local and well known accounts. I also want to check whether a user is already a member so that I don't add the same account twice, and presumably get an exception. So far I started using the DirectoryEntry object with the WinNT:// provider. This is going ok but I'm stuck on how to get a list of members of a group? Anyone know how to do this? Or provide a better solution than using DirectoryEntry?

  SLOVED see commend I develop am webservice based on apache tomcat 6.0.26, apache cxf 2.2.7, spring 3.0, hibernate 3.3 and sybase sqlanywhere 11. im using the latest JDBC Driver from SYBASE jconn.jar Version 6. The persistence layer is based on spring + hibernate dao, the connection is configured via a JNDI datasoure (META-INF directory). It seems that, during longer times of inactivity, the connection from the webservice to the database is closed. Exception: java.sql.SQLException: JZ0C0: Connection is already closed. I wanted to keep the views folder inside other folders, When I try to do so i am getting following errors The view 'Index' or its master was not found. Will I get any problems If I change the default Views folder location.   I have a method(say method1) that writes to database(sqlserver)and another method(say method2) that tries to access the same database after some time and updates the data row that was created by method1. The problem arises when method1 fails to access db due to the LAN being disconnected (this is not an exception this is a scenario that will definitely arise in my software, getting into details will make the question too complex) if method1 fails to access db method2 cannot work. What I want to do is to make method1 store values to local db instead of server if the LAN is disconnected and as soon as it enters value in local db the application should start trying to access the server after ever 10-15 seconds. What should I use timer or create a new thread?

If permissions are already there, then why do we need to demand those? Code is executing on Server, so the permissions are on server not on client machine? Article takes an example of removing write permissions from an assembly to show security exception. Though in real world, System.IO assembly (or related classes) will take care of these permissions. So is there a real scenario where we will need CAS?

• Could not load file or assembly log4net or one of its dependencies

  I've been asked to take a look at an error in an ASP/C# application with its Paypal integration. The error, shown in full, is: Could not load file or assembly 'log4net, Version=1.2.0.30714, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b32731d11ce58905' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040) From what I understand, this means that the actual file located (that is, log4net.dll in my bin directory) does not match the version expected based on some assembly configuration. The problem I'm having is that I cannot locate where this file is being referenced. I have access to all the files in the web root directory of the site, and cannot locate any config files that reference this DLL. Where else might I need to look to determine what's causing the mis-match? As a note, I've made sure that the version of the DLL in the bin directory is up to date, but this does not seem to have resolved anything.

• Android: Image displayed at Webview from Url with high quality loss

  I want to display an image from an url with an Webview at Android. With Android phones with Version 1.5 and 1.6 there is no problem. but the same pic and the same code on an AndroidPhone with Version 2.0 and the pic is totaly pixelated. Like Android is resizing the image first to a smaller one and then resizing it back to "normal" size. Unfortunately its important to display the pic without any quality loss. I tried to integrate it in the sourcefolder to show it as an normal image, but at Android 2.0 i get an exception because the image is to big. (At Android 1.6 there is no problem) Any ideas how i can display the image without quality loss with Android 2.0 ?

• How to programmatically answer "Yes" to WebBrowser control security alert

  I am using WebBrowser control to programmatically access a single website, but whenever I login, I receive this certificate security alert: Since I trust that website and since I need to programmatically automate the login as well, this dialog box gets in the way. I searched SO for a solution and found a question similar to mine, but the accepted answer does not work! I defined a static member in the form that contains the WebControl: public static bool ValidateServerCertificate(object sender, X509Certificate certificate, X509Chain chain, SslPolicyErrors sslPolicyErrors) { return true; } In my form's constructor I added: ServicePointManager.ServerCertificateValidationCallback = new RemoteCertificateValidationCallback(ValidateServerCertificate); But that didn't get rid of the certificate security alert. Is there any way to get rid of this warning? Is there an IE equivalent to Firefox's Add Security Exception??? Note: The owner's certificate works perfectly fine (without exhibiting this security alert) with standalone browsers (IE, FF, Chrome, Safari). It only exhibits the problem with the WebBroswer control.

Payload removedItem; itemCache.TryRemove(kvPair.Key, out removedItem); } } Obviously with an ordinary Dictionary this will throw an exception because removing items changes the dictionary's internal state during the life of the enumeration. It's my understanding that this is not the case for a ConcurrentDictionary as the provided IEnumerable handles internal state changing. Am I understanding this right? Is there a better pattern to use?

  I have Pecl OAuth with PHP5 on a Debian box and I try to authenticate to LinkedIn. When calling; OAuth-getAccessToken('https://api.lin...')\n#1 I get; PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'OAuthException' with message 'Invalid auth/bad request (got a 400, expected HTTP/1.1 20X or a redirect)' I have tried it from scratch and I have tried the PHP API wrappers that are available and (ofcourse, because they use OAuth Pecl ext) have all the same problem. I read somewhere it might be the timestamp on the server, but I synched that up with ntpdate; it does that quite often now, so the offset with the timeservers is almost 0. What else can it be? • SQlite: Column format for unix timestamp; Integer types

  Original problem: What is the right column format for a unix timestamp? The net is full of confusion: some posts claim SQLite has no unsigned types - either whatsoever, or with exception of the 64bit int type (but there are (counter-)examples that invoke UNSIGNED INTEGER). The data types page mentions it only in a bigint example. It also claims there is a 6-byte integer but doesn't give a name for it. Of course standard INTEGER being 4-byte signed signed stores unix timestamps as negative numbers. I've heard that some systems return 64-bit timestamps too. OTOH I'm not too fond of wasting 4 bytes to store 1 extra bit (top bit of timestamp), and even if I have to pick a bigger data format, I'd rather go for the 6-byte one. I've even seen a post that claims SQLite unix timestamp is of type REAL... Complete problem: Could someone please clarify that mess?

• VS2010 / Code Analysis: Turn off a rule for a project without custom ruleset....

  ...any change? The scenario is this: For our company we develop a standard how code should look. This will be the MS full rule set as it looks now. For some specific projects we may want to turn off specific rules. Simply because for a specific project this is a "known exception". Example? CA1026 - while perfectly ok in most cases, there are 1-2 specific libraries we dont want to change those. We also want to avoid having a custom rule set. OTOH putting in a suppress attribute on every occurance gets pretty convoluted pretty fast. Any way to turn off a code analysis warning for a complete assembly without a custom rule set? We rather have that in a specific file (GlobalSuppressions.cs) than in a rule set for maintenance reasons, and to be more explicit ;)

  I'm doing a bunch of core data inserts and after 20k or so inserts with saves every 1-2k I get this error: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSGenericException', reason: '*** Collection <NSCFSet: 0x1b0b30> was mutated while being enumerated.' I'm trying to figure out which NSSet is causing this. I've done a search and the only NSSets in my code are the autogenerated ones that handle the Core Data relationships. I'm using NSXMLParser and for each element found creating a new entity (if a matching one doesn't already exist). So I will create a state entity and then populate all the city entities and then do a save. This means that a state's NSSet *cities is getting added to but I don't see why you can't do that.
