schedule backup and restore of SSAS 2008 database

Hi, I can backup and restore databases on Microsoft SQL server Analysis Service 2008 using GUI as from Backup SSAS I want to schedule backup and restore it to another server every night. so what i did is : I scripted out the backup and restore process from the GUI. Created a new SQL server agent job in database engine and added a "Run SSAS query" step. Copied the scripts to this step. Running two different websites domains one one IP address

Getting 401 when using client certificate with IIS 7.5

With my current setup, I still get a "401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials" when accessing the location with my client cert. Sun Power Button Won't Shut Down System

Background: We are running NIS and have NFS mounts from a Solaris 10 workstation to a Solaris 8 server. If the workstation loses its network connection for some reason, when I look at the workstation's console I see repeated messages of the form: <date> <time> <hostname> ypbind[<pid>]: NIS server not responding for domain "<domain>"; still trying. If I try to login at the console as a user, it won't work because it can't authenticate my account through NIS. Also, it won't return to a login prompt again, so I can't log in as root. If I press the power button (don't hold it in) on the workstation, I see: <date> <time> <hostname> power: WARNING: Power off requested from power button or SC, powering down the system! Shutdown started. <date> <time> Changing to init state 5 - please wait. <date> <time+2 minutes> <hostname> power: WARNING: Failed to shut down the system! And continue to see messages of the form: <date> <time> <hostname> ypbind[<pid>]: NIS server not responding for domain "<domain>"; still trying. So, the questions are How do I make NIS stop trying (because I know it will fail)? Why won't it shut down?

I'm trying to setup mutt wiht gmail for the first time. It seems to work pretty well, however when I send a mail from Mutt i appears twice in Gmail's sent folder. Remove an apache alias subdirectory

I'm using Apache 2 on Ubuntu 12.04. I added an alias for a subdirectory, to point to gitweb. I realised I should probably make it accessible only on https - so I removed the alias and restarted Apache. I can still navigate to http://xyz/gitweb - even with no alias in any of my config files. How do I remove it? In my game I have model loading functions for Assimp model loading library. I can load the model and render it, but the model displays incorrectly. The models load in as if they were using a seperate projection matrix. I have looked over my code over and over again, but I probably keep on missing the obvious reason why this is happening. Using T4 to generate Configuration classes

I wanted to try to use T4 to read a web.config and generate all of the appSettings and connectionStrings as properties of a class. I elected in this template only to output appSettings and connectionStrings but you can see it would be easily adapted for app specific settings, bindings etc. This allows for quick access to config values as well as removing the potential for typo's when accessing values from the ConfigurationManager. One caveat: a developer would need to remember to run the .tt file after adding an entry to the web.config. However, one would quickly notice when trying to access the property from the generated class (it wouldn't be there). Additionally, there are other options as noted here. The first step was to create the .tt file. Note that this is a basic example, it could be extended even further I'm sure. Is it bad practice to make an iterator that is aware of its own end

For some background of why I am asking this question here is an example. In python the method chain chains an arbitrary number of ranges together and makes them into one without making copies. Here is a link in case you don't understand it. I decided I would implement chain in c++ using variadic templates. As far as I can tell the only way to make an iterator for chain that will successfully go to the next container is for each iterator to to know about the end of the container (I thought of a sort of hack in where when != is called against the end it will know to go to the next container, but the first way seemed easier and safer and more versatile). iTunes 9.0.2 hangs on launch on Mac OS X 10.6.2

My iTunes 9.0.2 hangs on launch in OS X 10.6.2. This doesn't happen all the time, only if I've been running for a while. Then it will recur until I restart. Similarly Safari 4.0.4 will hang in the flash player plugin when about to play a video. If I restart both these problems go away until later. Based on this crash dump I am suspecting Audio Hijack Pro. I will try to install a newer version of the driver involved, but so far I haven't had much luck. I have uninstalled the Flash Plugin (10.0.r42 and r32) but clearly I want it in the long run. This is iTunes' crash report. Using Rich Text Editor (WYSIWYG) in ASP.NET MVC

Introduction: In ASP.NET MVC forum I found some question regarding a sample HTML Rich Text Box Editor(also known as wysiwyg).So i decided to create a sample ASP.NET MVC web application which will use a Rich Text Box Editor. There are are lot of Html Editors are available, but for creating a sample application, i decided to use cross-browser WYSIWYG editor from openwebware. Simple Mouse Move Event in F# with Winforms

This evening I had the pleasure of reading one of ThomasP’s blog posts on first class events. It was an excellent read, and I thought I would make a brief derivative of his post to explore some of the basics. In Thomas’s post he has a form with an ellipse on it that when he clicks on the ellipse it pops up a message box with the button clicked… awesome. Something that got me on the post though was the code similar to the one below… // React to Mouse Move events on the form let evtMessages = frm.MouseMove |> Event.map (fun mi -> mi.Location.ToString()) |> Event.map (sprintf "Hey, you clicked on the ellipse.\nUsing: %s") |> Event.add (MessageBox.Show >> ignore) The MessageBox is a function with a string passed into it. What if I wanted to rather change a mutable value holder instead, how would the syntax go for that? Immediately the thought came to me of anonymous functions. I’ve used them before to do something like this… let HelloPerson personName = "Hello " + personName |> fun(x) -> Console.WriteLine(x) So using the same approach I adapted the event code to instead of showing a Message Box with a string passed in to it, to rather change the forms header. |> Event.map (sprintf "Your mouse position is %s") |> Event.add(fun(x) -> frm.Text <- x) Okay… it looks a bit weird with the –> x <- syntax, but makes sense and works… The next thing I wanted to do was change Thomas’s code sample from having an ellipse, and reacting to the position of the mouse and click, to rather trigger the event whenever the mouse moved. This simple involved removing some filtering code. Finally I wanted the code to work as a FSharp Project without having to run through the F# interactive. To achieve this I just needed to find out how to trigger the window event loop. dpkg crashing while trying to install a package

While attempting to install a package via apt-get the following. The first error I get is: E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
