• Get CSS style from PHP

  I am parsing pages using Simple DOM parser. It is neat, but I would like to get the applied css style for each element. Not only the inline styles, but every style it applies to that element, being it inline, in-page or external. Is there a class that does that? If not, how would you do it? I do not really care about overriding styles, cascade, or browser specific styles. Having all the directly applied styles would suffice.

• PHP fails silently when function not defined?

  I am migrating from PHP4 to PHP5 I have this in my .htaccess: php_flag display_errors on php_value error_reporting 2039 Which used to show all errors. I am still getting some errors but I used to get an error when I called a function that was not defined, but now it stops where it is at and send the client everything up to the error and nothing after. With no error message. Here is what phpinfo is telling me: Directive Local Value Master Value display_errors On Off error_reporting 2039 6143 I would like to be able to see my error messages for trouble shooting purposes. Can someone tell me what I need to do? Thanks!!

• PHP: Auto Updating subscriptions?

  Hey guys I am currently making a website and I am hopefully going to start a premium service for it. What I am currently looking into right now is how to make an "auto updating" shop which removes 1 day from how many days left the user has left on their premium status. so for example if the users purchases 30 days of premium, each day that 30 with negate 1 so.. 30, 29, 28, 27.. etc and then if the days gets to 0 in will remove premium status. The only way I can think of keeping track of this right now is by manually monitoring each persons premium status but that wouldnt be very practical. What would the best way for me to do this? (hopefully "automatically") Thanks.

  I have a multi-dimensional array that looks like this: The base array is indexed based on category ids from my catalog. $categories[category_id] Each base array has two underlying elements: ['parent_category_id'] ['sort_order'] I want to create a function that allows us to create a list of categories for a given parent_category_id in the correct sort order. Is this possible? Technically it is the same information, but the array is constructed in a weird way to extract that information.

• php read CSV with various amount of delimiters

  I've got a script that reads in from a CSV file and sometimes the CSV files it receives contains an uneven amount of delimiters/columns so the first row could have 30 columns, the 2nd could have 20, etc. I can think of a few solutions myself ie: Count the delimiters in the widest row, then append the proper amount to each row that is short to make them even. But I was wondering if anyone had a more elegant method of doing this.

  Hi, I am using a class which returns me the value of a particular row and cell of an excel spreadsheet. To build up an array of one column I am counting the rows and then looping through that number with a for() loop and then using the $array[] = $value to set the incrementing array object's value. This works great if none of the values in a cell are 0. The class returns me a number 0 so it's nothing to do with the class, I think it's the way I am looping through the rows and then assigning them to the array... I want to carry through the 0 value because I am creating graphs with the data afterwards, here is the code I have. // Get Rainfall $rainfall = array(); for($i=1;$i<=$count;$i++) { if($data->val($i,2) != 'Rainfall') // Check if not the column title { $rainfall[] = $data->val($i,2); } } For your info $data is the excel spreadsheet object and the method $data->val(row,col) is what returns me the value.   I have some code that uses the stristr function to extract data I need. It works, in that it gives me the results I'm looking for. BUT (you knew there was a but), it gives me this error message for every iteration of the loop: Warning: stristr() [function.stristr]: Empty delimiter in ... line 55 Like I said, the code works apart from this error. • PHP to make vars and values part of array

  I currently have this function to search and replace in a text file. // Input $ect = array('Visssa', 'Lisssa', 'her'); // Placeholders in the file $put = array('lname', 'fname', 'hisher'); // Replace the placeholders $oput = str_replace($put, $ct, 'tmpfile.txt'); This is not the full program but the idea is replace the values found in tmpfile.txt with the ones found in the $etc array. And it works flawlessly. But, what I need to do is get all passed vars (get/post) and then make the arrays so that the var is the value to replace and the value is the value to replace it with. So, if I sent the url http://xyz.com/?lname=tom&ogre=yes All instances of lname in the file would be replaces with tom and all instances of ogre would be replaced with yes. So somehow it just gets any/all variables passed in get/post and then the arrays showed above would cause the var to be replaced by the value in the file.

  I'm writing a script that will allow a user to input a string that is a math statement, to then be evaluated. I however have hit a roadblock. I cannot figure out how, using preg_match, to dissallow statements that have variables in them. Using this, $calc = create_function("", "return (" . $string . ");" ); $calc();, allows users to input a string that will be evaluated, but it crashes whenever something like echo 'foo'; is put in place of the variable $string.

  Hi all, im trying to get image size(DIMENSIONS) of hundreds of remote images and getimagesize is way too slow. ive done some reading and found out the quickest way would be to use get_file_contents to read a certain aount of bytes from the images and examining the size within the binary data. Anyone attempted this before? How would i examine different formats. Seen any library for this? please let me know
