• Chain dynamically created dropdowns with JQuery

  I'm building some kind of indefinite filters for an app, and I'm havin this problem when I clone some selects. The things is this selects are chained between them, trough the Chained Selects jQuery plugin. The problem is that every time I clone the selects, the chaining stops working, and I've tryed everything, such as .live() to make it work, but it seems I'm out of luck :D Here you have a sample of what I'm talking about, http://jsfiddle.net/7K2Eu/63/ At first, the selects chain normally, but when I clone the form, they stop working, except for the first row of selects. • iPhone app launch times and Core Data migration

  I have a Core Data application which I plan to update with a new schema. The lightweight migration seems to work, but it takes time proportional to the amount of data in the database. This occurs in the didFinishLaunchingWithOptions phase of the app. I want to avoid <app> failed to launch in time problems, so I assume I cannot keep the migration in the didFinishLaunchingWithOptions method. I assume the best method would involve performing the migration in a background thread. I assume also that I'd need to defer loading of the main ViewController until the loading completes to avoid using the managedObjectContext until initialization completes. Does this make sense, and is there example code (maybe in Apple sample projects) of this sort of initialization?

  I have a table table1 (account, last_contact_date, insert_date), account and last_contact_date are primary keys. The insert_date is set with the time the recored being added by calling getdate(). I also have a temporary table #temp(account, last_contact_date) which I use to update the table1. Here are sample data: table1 account last_contact_date insert_date 1 2012-09-01 2012-09-28 2 2012-09-01 2012-09-28 3 2012-09-01 2012-09-28 #temp account last_contact_date 1 2012-09-27 2 2012-09-27 3 2012-08-01 The result table depends on the inserting date. If the date is 2012-09-28, the result will be table1 account last_contact_date insert_date 1 2012-09-27 2012-09-28 2 2012-09-27 2012-09-28 3 2012-09-01 2012-09-28 If the date is 2012-09-29, the result will be table1 account last_contact_date insert_date 1 2012-09-01 2012-09-28 2 2012-09-01 2012-09-28 3 2012-09-01 2012-09-28 1 2012-09-27 2012-09-29 2 2012-09-27 2012-09-29 Basically the rule is (1) if the inserting date is the same day, i will pick the lastest last_contact_date, otherwise, (2) if the last_contact_date is later than the current last_contact_date, I will insert a new one. How do I write a query for this insert?

  Hi, I'm a Google App Engine newbie and would be grateful for any help. I have an iPhone app which sources data from an sqlite db stored localling on the device. I'd like to set up a Google App Engine web service which my iPhone client will talk to and check if there is a newer version of the sqlite database it needs to download. So iPhone client hits the web service with some kind of version number/timestamp and if there is a newer file, the App Engine will notify the client and the client will then request the new database to download which the App Engine will serve. Is it possible to set up a web service in Google App Engine to do this? Could anyone point me to any sample code / tutorials please? Many Thanks

• DateTimeAxis - set Label to display Date + Time

  Hi, Is there a way in flex 3 chart component to display both the date and time using horizontal DateTimeAxis? Currently the DateTimeAxis element has an attribute dataunits which allows to set the value to any of "milliseconds|seconds|minutes|hours|days|weeks|months|years" but I want to display the label as "2009/09/15 06:00:00" which includes the day and the time too.   hi everyone, I have writed a primitive wcf (vs 2010) service and created proxy files by svcutil. Later I created a mobile project on vs2008 and added proxy files on project but this error occured. Error 1 The type or namespace name 'ServiceContractAttribute' does not exist in the namespace 'System.ServiceModel' (are you missing an assembly reference?) C:\Users\Abb\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\WCF\MobileService\MobileClient\Sample.cs the proxy files runs well on console application (vs 2008) but there is errors on mobile. System.ServiceModel doesnot support ServiceContractAttribute.

  Hi all I have a scenario in which I need to design online keyboard with buttons implementing different mathematical functions in ASP.NET. For example 1) A button called "Fraction" Onclicking= should display A numerator and a denominator separated by '-' with empty fields. Just as we write fractions manually. Now when the user clicks on this button the cursor should focus on numerator displaying 'the division line' and then by pressing 'Down' arrow key(on computr keyboard) should focus on denominator allowing users to enter both fields. Keeping it simple the user should be able to toggle between numerator and denominator. Please help me with some sample code. I have got no idea. Thanks in advance

• capturing click events on web-browser scrollbars

  Hi, is it possible to capture a click event on a scrollbar? I have some code where i am observing the click and mousedown events on the document. However, it seems that when I click on the scrollbar, the event is not captured. This leads me to believe that the scrollbars aren't really part of the document. (Assumption :-)) Is this a correct assumption? • R: Converting a list of data frames into one data frame

  I have code that at one place ends up with a list of data frames which I really want to convert to a single big data frame. I got some pointers from an earlier question which was trying to do something similar but more complex. Here's an example of what I am starting with (this is grossly simplified for illustration): listOfDataFrames <- NULL for (i in 1:100) { listOfDataFrames[[i]] <- data.frame(a=sample(letters, 500, rep=T), b=rnorm(500), c=rnorm(500)) } I am currently using this: df <- do.call("rbind", listOfDataFrames) *EDIT* whoops. I can do everything except for the side inclusion with: SELECT scenario_needunits.scenID, unit_basic_data.nation, unit_basic_data.name FROM scenario_needunits LEFT OUTER JOIN unit_basic_data ON scenario_needunits.unitID=unit_basic_data.unitID WHERE scenario_needunits.scenID='scen001' ORDER BY unit_basic_data.nation ASC, unit_basic_data.name ASC I've tried just dropping the SCENARIO_NATIONS table in as a LEFT OUTER JOIN on scenID but what ends up happening is that ALL units come back with a side of 1 because that's always the first side listed for the scenID in the SCENARIO_NATIONS table. Conceptually, what I think needs to happen is SCENARIO_NATIONS must be joined to both the scenID (to restrict it to just that scenario) and to each unit's nation but I don't have any idea how to do that and my Google-fu is inadequate. :-/

  I'm looking for a way to fix and/or abstract away a comma-separated values (CSV) list in a database field in order to reconstruct a usable relationship such that I can properly join the two tables below and query them using LINQ and its Join method. Following is a sample showing the Person table and CsvArticleIds field having a CSV value to represent a one-to-many association with Article records.   I'm looking to turn off try blocks for a specific JSP page (though turning it off globally would be OK as well).   I am trying to reproduce a SQL query using a LINQ to Entities query. The following SQL works fine, I just don't see how to do it in LINQ. I have tried for a few hours today but I'm just missing something.   I do not understand how the DefaultProperty Metadata tag work or what it signifies. I've read the MSDN and went through the sample but I find it confusing. I have a Qt GUI application (written by me), let's call it QtAPP.exe When QtAPP.exe running, I will use a QThread and QProcess to execute some external file, such as player.exe (written in native C). Here's my question: In QtAPP.exe, there are 2 classes, 1. QMainWindow - Core of QtAPP.exe 2. QThread - A thread class to execute external things For now, if I got a finished() signal in that QThread, how do I to force the QMainWindow to repaint itself ? • debugfs_create_file doesn't create file

  Hello, I am trying to create a debugfs file using the debugfs_create_file(...). I have written a sample code for this. static int __init mmapexample_module_init(void) { file1 = debugfs_create_file("mmap_example", 0644, NULL, NULL, &my_fops)\ ; printk(KERN_ALERT "Hello, World\n"); if(file1==NULL) { printk(KERN_ALERT "Error occured\n"); } if(file1==-ENODEV) { printk(KERN_ALERT "ENODEV occured\n"); } return 0; } When i ran insmod i could get the Hello, World message but no the error message. So i think the debugfs_create_file worked fine. However i couldn't find any file in /sys/kernel/debug. The folder is there but it is empty. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you... Thanks, Bala
