Then, I use another CArchive object reader to un-archive it. Is it possible to re-construct or set any property of writer to make it, the reader instead of declaring another CArchive object reader? • MapReduce results seem limited to 100?

  I'm playing around with Map Reduce in MongoDB and python and I've run into a strange limitation. I'm just trying to count the number of "book" records. It works when there are less than 100 records but when it goes over 100 records the count resets for some reason. Here is my MR code and some sample outputs: var M = function () { book = this.book; emit(book, {count : 1}); } var R = function (key, values) { var sum = 0; values.forEach(function(x) { sum += 1; }); var result = { count : sum }; return result; } MR output when record count is 99: {u'_id': u'superiors', u'value': {u'count': 99}} MR output when record count is 101: {u'_id': u'superiors', u'value': {u'count': 2.0}} Any ideas?

Each text input field has instructions pre-filled as values in the input box ex: for a text-input box id='Name', the default value will be set to 'Enter Your Name'. I did a research and found that overriding IDocHostUIHandler::ShowContextMenu in a IE BHO can customized IE context menu. The sample project can be found in Popup blocker project published in codeproject. It works well and is easy to implement. However this approach has a problem. The problem is it will conflict with other add-ons' context menu customization per MSDN. In MSDN Internet Explorer Center forum, there are some discussions about this topic.   I have a set of data points: (x1, y1) (x2, y2) (x3, y3) ... (xn, yn) The number of sample points can be thousands. I want to represent the same curve as accurately as possible with minimal (lets suppose 30) set of points. I want to capture as many inflection points as possible. However, I have a hard limit on the number of allowed points to represent the data. What is the best algorithm to achieve the same? Is there any free software library that can help?   Hi, I'm implementing global search box extension (sth like SearchableDictionary sample in android sdk). Everything works fine - suggestions are displayed properly. Problem is that I want browser to start when user picks a suggestion. (each suggestion is a link) Columns of my cursor contain SearchManager.SUGGEST_COLUMN_INTENT_DATA, and I use that to pass http link. My searchable xml contains default intent action set to: android:searchSuggestIntentAction="android.intent.action.VIEW". But when user hits the suggestion, my application is started instead of browser. What am I missing? Regards!

For exapmle: 1) http://www.google.co.il/ 2) file:///C:/index.html I added the links, but only the "http://" works. when I press the link of "file:///" nothing happens.   I have used c:forEach loop for display the list of images using h:graphicImage. But I can't display the images. I have the h:commandLink also in my page. The image have to be displayed at the time of form inititalization. But its not working. But after click the h:commandlink, the images are displayed properly. Before that it shows the image not found text (alt message). As such, it seems that there would be value in having pre-build Rails applications at various functionality points such as: basic User model with authentication using Authlogic #1 + openid integration #2 + authorization using declarative_authorization #3 + Administration module #4 + a Profile model Themes (useful stylesheets and such) Friendship model Geocoding ... In addition to the basic MVC stuff, these applications would include: testing harnesses seed data git support One could choose start from any of these functionality points. Other than the sample application that are available with the various gems/plugins, are there projects such as these? If not, I would certainly be willing to contribute what I have.

  Are very large TextProperties a burden? Should they be compressed? Say I have a information stored in 2 attributes of type TextProperty in my datastore entities. The strings are always the same length of 65,000 characters and have lots of repeating integers, a sample appearing as follows: entity.pixel_idx = 0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5,5....etc. entity.pixel_color = 2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,...etc. So these above could also be represented using much less storage memory by compressing say using only each integer and the length of its series ( '0,8' for '0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0') but then its takes time and CPU to compress and decompress? Any general ideas? Are there some tricks for testing different attempts to the problem?

  While renaming the column name, the square bracket is included in the column name, which I think is a bug, Here is a sample code snippet, create table [TestTable] (TestColumnName nvarchar(30)) select TestColumnName from TestTable sp_rename '[TestTable].[TestColumnName]', '[RenamedColumnName]', 'Column' select [RenamedColumnName] from TestTable -- does not work "Invalid column name 'RenamedColumnName'." select RenamedColumnName from TestTable -- does not work "Invalid column name 'RenamedColumnName'." select * from [TestTable] -- works fine!!! The bug here is that the column rename includes the square brackets, I found this which says that the "first character must be one of the following", but "[" does not seem be included in the list, can there be a problem with sp_rename or sql server itself, as it allows alteration of column name to start with a square bracket.

  I have postgresql table that has somekind of unique constraint. I have ruby script that will update this table. The ruby script should be able to switch to UPDATE instead of INSERT when this kind of error occured: PGError: ERROR: duplicate key value violates unique constraint CMIIW, sequel seems cannot catch this exception?? (Use of setInterval is required as per my knowledge) . Also I am using jquery in my templates. The server used is Django . Please provide some solution as in some sample code will be quite helpful .

  I was trying to run the Wedding RSVP sample given with Spring Roo 1.0.0.RC3. I am running on Maven 2.2.1 and JDK 1.5.0_19, Java and M2 Home are properly set. Unfortunately none of the commands that involve Maven calls (example: "Perform test" or 'Perform eclipse") work and there is no error either. The cursor immediately returns on the roo command line. I also tried the steps at http://blog.springsource.com/2009/05/27/roo-part-2 but same problem. Did anybody face this issue?
