  • How can I switch off the insertion of wiki references automatically in OO Writer

    Hello, I have a pure text and it is inserted into open office writer. After the insertion the openoffice writer replaces the text with wiki references. I could not find where I can switch of this annoying feature.   • good way of changing all pixels of one particular color to another particular color in a jpeg/png?

    I have an image which looks like this: http://img21.imageshack.us/i/64054053.jpg/ However the yellow line needs to be red and the cyan line needs to be green. I have MS Paint and IrfanView. How can I change the colors of the yellow and cyan line without individually selecting all pixels manually? I.e. what is a good way of changing all pixels of one color to another color?

  • Windows 7 CMD.exe jumplist possible?

    It seems CMD does not have it's own jumplist.Has someone created one already?   • How do I allow programs that generate "high" or "severe" alerts in MS Security Essentials?

    Microsoft Security Essentials seems to allow only quarantine or delete actions for program that it deems to have "high" or "severe" risk. However, it also assigns these levels to what it considers to be "hacking tools". Is there a way to override this nanny behaviour and force programs on the allowed list? Thank you.     Basically, we have one external IP address, several servers internally and want to redirect to each internal server based on request URL. We do not want to install another piece of hardware to do this for us but we have a firewall running Linux that currently forwards to only one of the internal servers.   • Getting PHP to work with apache to run .php files through browser [closed]

    I have VPS running Debian 5.0 (I think) and I would like to get it to run PHP files. I was told it needed to be configured with Apache. I tried entering the command apt-get install apache2 php5 libapache2-mod-php5. But there was no change.   • Best way to slice up a non rectangular image?

    I have the image below and need to create a rollover for each "piece" or arrow in the circle. Because the image isn't rectangular, it boggles how me how I'm going to do this without having badly overlapping pieces. As you can see from the image below, the slices will overlap each other (quite a bit), which will not be good for the rollover. Does anybody have any ideas as to how to accomplish this without resorting to Flash or HTML5? The majority of our site's users use dinosaur browsers that don't support HTML5.   • Boot splash broken by "SP5100 TCO timer: mmio address 0xyyyyyyy already in use"

    I have ubuntu 11.04 with all the latest updates. I have an ATI HD 4350 graphics card and the "ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver" activated. The reported behaviour does not affect the functionality, its just an optical thing. When I booted up using the desktop CD, the ubuntu boot splash was shown correctly in high resolution.   • Boot time seems unusually long on MSI GX660R (bootchart included)

    After upgrading (clean install) to Ubuntu 12.04, the speed issue when running programs has reduced on my MSI GX660R laptop. However, the boot time is still much longer (over a minute, even after BIOS) than on the many less powerful laptops I have encountered running the same OS, and I was wondering if anyone could help me improve it. I use the FGLRX driver, if that makes any difference. I have uploaded a boot chart, it can be found here http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/4/bootchartl.png/ As you can see, the boot time is over a minute even after BIOS. A 'designed for Vista' laptop from ages ago which I installed Ubuntu on boots in around thirty seconds, so I think it's a bit strange.   • Can't upgrade 11.04: flashplugin-nonfree: Package is in very bad, inconsistent state

    I can't upgrade from 11.04. I've disabled all apt sources, but still I get: http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/6680/snmekobrazovkyg.png The only option I am capable doing is to format and reinstall whole system, which I don't prefer as I have tuned a lot of apps settings, etc. How can I fix this? Update: After restart, when trying to update all packages, I get this error: installArchives() failed: dpkg: error processing flashplugin-nonfree (--remove): Package is in very bad, inconsistent state - before trying to remove rather reinstall it. Reinstalling it results in the same error.

    I want to add a weather extension to my gnome3 toolbar but I cant get anything working. I am using ubuntu 12.10 with gnome3. I tryed to add this sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/gnome3 sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gnome-shell-extensions-weather but the last command doest work it says that it cant locate such file. I installed this https://launchpad.net/weather-indicator. But I cant seem to get it to show on the gnome toolbar. It only shows here http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/4108/weatherhl.png.   • Client Side Prediction

    I have a question regarding Client Side prediction. Ive tried to search topics about my specific problem but couldn't find anything which really answered my problem. Most tutorials and explanations assume that the Client sends messages like "Move my player up by 1 Position", but what if i send messages like "Set my player's velocity to x"? Since it's hard to explain with text, i made a graphic explaining my problem. The main problem is, that the player sets his own velocity, due to Client Side Prediction, earlier than the Server.
