  My code displays a message with basic subject, body, attachment. Next the user manually updates and customizes the message and should send it. I want to record when (if) the email is sent. • Importing Outlook 2007 rules error

  I'm trying to move an Outlook 2007 account (POP3, no Exchange) to a new machine and I'm having trouble importing the rules from the old machine to the new one. Here is the deal, I imported the .pst file on the new machine but when I try to import the rules, every single one of them brakes. The folders and sub-folders hierarchy is preserved upon the import of the .pst but the rules don't point to the right folder in the respective rule. Instead it points to "the specified folder". Same OS (Windows XP), same mail client (Outlook 2007) and the .psf file is about 8 GB. Any help i greatly appreciated.

  Hi! I have Access DB with One StudentTable. I have created multiple queries from that table then Exported to SharePoint Different Sites. Student table is exported to Site Collection. I added multiple records to Student Table that is uploded in site collection. Now My problem is - those new records don't get reflected to other list (created queries and exported to SP sites) that are in different sites Is there any way to work around above problem. • Microsoft Word 2007 restarts the installer upon exiting on Windows XP

  A user complained that they were having issues with MS Office 2007, and that the installation / configuration dialog kept appearing. I already tried uninstalling Office 2007 and I ended up needing to use the Microsoft Fix It package to uninstall it, since using the control panel failed. I close Microsoft Word. The Installer for Microsoft Office inexplicably opens. I then get a dialog that says I need to reboot. So I restart... Start Microsoft Word, Word starts up, and everything appears to be fine. I close word, and nothing much happens this is on the administrator account. I think everything is fixed so I call the user over to come try their account out. We login as the user, and the user tries to open a document in Word. The Configuration Progress Window reappears. It runs...and then Word appears. I close it and it appears to work, no window. I open it again and the Configuration Progress window appears yet again... Then Word opens up again, if I exit out and open up again I get the same Configuration Progress window. I have no idea what is causing the Configuration Progress Window to come up.. Update: I attempted to install two updates: Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Junk Email Filter (KB2687400) Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB967642) Both of these updates failed. Update: I attempted to install KB967642 manually and it failed.

• Default sending all mails from the one account on Outlook 2007

  I have two email accounts configured on my outlook 2007. One account is connecting to my exchange server which is the default I have another account connecting to my gmail. I want to by default send or reply all the emails that I receive on my gmail account through my exchange server account only. When I try replying to the email that I receive from the gmail account it gets defaulted to the same (gmail account). I need to manually change it to exchange server account. I want that to be changed to exchange server account by default for all the mails that I send or reply to. I don't want to do the manual process mentioned below in steps: Step 1: In the message window, click Account. Step 2: Click the account that you want to use. Is there a way to set the exchange server account for sending and replying to all emails on outlook irrespective of the number of accounts that I have on outlook. I have my outlook installed on a windows 2003 server.

• Share OneNote 2010 Notebooks with OneNote 2007

  OneNote is the new star of the Office Suite, and is included in every edition of Office 2010.  OneNote’s file format has been changed in the 2010 version, so here’s how you can still share your notebooks with those using OneNote 2007. Convert your OneNote Notebooks to 2007 Format If you open a notebook from OneNote 2010 in OneNote 2007, you may see this warning informing you that the notebook was created in a newer version of OneNote and cannot be opened. To make your 2010 notebooks compatible with OneNote 2007, you need to convert them inside OneNote 2010.  In OneNote 2010, open the File menu; this should open to the Info tab by default.  Select the Settings button beside the notebook you want to use in OneNote 2007, and select Properties. In the properties dialog, click “Convert to 2007”. You may see a warning that some formatting, content, and history that is incompatible with OneNote 2007 will be removed.  Click Ok to continue. OneNote will automatically convert everything in this notebook to 2007 format.  If your notebook is very large, this may take a few minutes. Once the conversion is completed, you can re-open the properties dialog to see the change.  The format is listed as OneNote 2007 format, and you have the option to convert to 2010.  Your 2007 formatted notebook is still fully usable in OneNote 2010, but you may not be able to use some of the newer features in it. Now that your notebook is in 2007 format, you can share it with OneNote 2007 users.  Here’s our notebook, the OneNote 2010 guide, open in OneNote 2007 after the conversion. Conclusion OneNote can be a great collaboration tool, and with this simple trick you can collaborate with those using older versions of OneNote.  Additionally, if you are currently running Office 2010 beta but plan to switch back to Office 2007 when the beta expires, then make sure to do this to any new notebooks you’ve created so you can still use them. • Outlook 2007 unable to connect to exchange server

  I came into the office a week ago and outlook has refused to connect ever since, it just says "Disconnected" in the bottom right-hand corner. I've tried restarting it, rebooting Windows etc. I'm the only one if our office who is having this problem, so it's not a general problem with the server. Things I've tried Pinging the server via IP address and host name, both work fine Connecting via OWA, this works using the same machine name Connecting to Exchange via HTTP ("Outlook Anywhere") doesn't work None of the suggestions in this question helped, http://serverfault.com/questions/21755/can-ping-exchange-server-cant-connect-outlook-to-it Disabling Windows firewall on my laptop also has no effect. There are no items in the event viewer that indicate that anything it up. Also no permissions have changed on the server since when it worked. What else can I do to diagnose this, any suggestions?

I don’t know if it is possible, but what I need is, that each time I print a mail, it automatically get marked in some way, either by a flag or a category. I’ve browsed through different menus, settings and rules in outlook and scouted google for a solution but with no result. • Excel 2007: Using a time to set XY chart axis scaling like in 2003

  In Excel 2003, when you created a XY chart using time as an axis, you could set the scaling of these axes by typing in the date. In Excel 2007, you have to use the decimal version of the time (eg. How many days since some arbitrary earlier date). I was wondering if there was a way to avoid having to make such a calculation? A developer posted on a blog that this issue would be fixed in a future release, but all versions of Excel 2007 I have tried have not resolved this issue. The relevant quote: Those of you familiar with this technique of converting time to a decimal may recall that Excel 2003 allowed you to enter a date and time like “1/1/07 11:00 AM” directly in the axis option min/max fields and Excel would calculate the appropriate decimal representation. This currently does not work in Excel 2007 but will be fixed in a subsequent release.

  We have a little Exchange/Outlook installation here that fetches the mails from our provider with POP3. Now to be able to send emails outside our organisation, I added another SMTP address to the Exchange User: [email protected] (Default / Reply Address) [email protected] Sending email works using the default address. But now there is an error message each time we start Outlook. Outlook tries to autodiscover using autodiscover.ourcompany.com which doesn't exist. Our autodiscover files are placed on our local server. I think all the servers are discovers, because everything works as expected. Everything except the error message on each Outlook start. (The error message is actually because of an invalid certificate but I don't see why Outlook should contact an external host at all!) So how can I solve this? Forcing Autodiscover on every Outlook client to use the local hosts? Or ist there an even better way?

  I know that Outlook.ApointmentItem.Body only supports plain and rich text formats. But my requirement is to send the Appointment with a Html body. Currently I am saving the ApointmentItem as an ics file and attaching it to the e-mail. This works but the outcome that I am looking for is that it is received as a meeting request. I.e. I receive this e-mail I can see the body and have the option to respond to the meeting request. I tried forwarding the AppointmentItem as a vCal but that does not work either. • Outlook 2007 - Right Click Email > Move To {Folder Name}

  I know it seems like an elementary question. What's the simplest and fastest way to move a read/completed email to a different folder in Outlook 2007 (connected to Exchange 2007)? I have a particular user that is challenged by technology. Using keyboard shortcuts is not an option. Dragging and dropping things - forget it. And too many clicks is frustrating to him. He keeps his email inbox completely clean (OCD=True) but he does that by deleting every single email as quickly as he's done with it. If an email can't be resolved in a day or two it almost drives him to insanity. As far as he's concerned, there's only one right thing to do with an email - reply to it and then delete it. He's being asked to save emails unless they are clearly trash. I'm trying to figure out what the simplest method is to move an email to a "Saved Emails" or "Archived" folder (don't confuse "folder" with .PST file, that's irrelevant for this discussion). I envisioned that I could possibly hi-jack every delete and put the email in his Saved folder. But I don't like this option because some emails are truly trash and I don't want him saving those. What I'd really like to do is something like this: Right Click Email in List > Move To {Folder Name} Is there a simple way to do this? Maybe someone has another suggestion on how to handle this situation.

  I am working on outlook add-in project using Visual studio 2008 for MS Outlook 2007 in C#. Here I am explaining my problem... I got multiple accounts (3 Accounts) with my outlook 2007. I need to get accounts form Account box in New Mail Message window. When we click New Mail Message, a new window will appear from which we can send a new mail. Here (On this window) we can see Account Dropdown (Left side) under the Send Button. If we have multiple accounts with outlook, we can see all the accounts in Account Drop Down if we click on Account Box. If we click on the particular email, a right mark will appear to that Email Account and a message can bee seen on the top of the Send button is "This message will be sent via [email protected]". So, I want to get these email accounts into a string and that particular email account (which has right mark) into another string. I got these 3 email accounts into a string. But, I am not getting the particular email account(which has the right mark when we send a new email). • How can I make Excel documents open in different windows?

  Office 2007, Windows Server 2008 x64. How can I make Excel so that when I double-click a document, it opens in a new Excel instance, so that I can easily view them side-by-side as separate windows and not using the View-Arrange All functionality? Now I have to go to the task bar, click on one document to see it and then click on the other document in the task bar to switch to that one. As the alternative, I close one document, open a new Excel window, then drag the document in there. Thank you.

• I can't see headers or footers on Word 2007 unless in full screen view

  I have a machine on a domain that does not show any headers or footers when viewing documents in word 2007, unless I switch to full screen mode.
