• How to make a EditText work correctly in a ListView?

  Hallo all, I have a ListView, which contains an EditText in each of it's row. I also have an Array.The length of the Array==the Nr of the rows in the ListView. I want to store the user input (the text in the EditText) to the Arrray. E.g, if i type some text in the EditText in the first row of the ListView, i want the text to be stored in Array[0]. But how can i detect to which row the EditText belongs to? I can detect the possition of the row if the row contains a RadioGroup, but not a EditText. What if i first type some text in the EditText and sometime later i want to update mein Input? How can i update it? Thanks a lot!

• How to order by results from 2 seperate tables in PHP and MySQL.

  I am trying to output results of 2 sql queries to one JSON file. The problem is that I would like to order them ascending by distance which is the result of equation that takes homelat and homelon from the users table and lat, lng from locations table.(basically it takes lattitude and longitude of one point and another and computes the distance between these points). • Code Golf: Duplicate Character Removal in String

  The challenge: The shortest code, by character count, that detects and removes duplicate characters in a String. Removal includes ALL instances of the duplicated character (so if you find 3 n's, all three have to go), and original character order needs to be preserved. Example Input 1: nbHHkRvrXbvkn Example Output 1: RrX Example Input 2: nbHHkRbvnrXbvkn Example Output 2: RrX (the second example removes letters that occur three times; some solutions have failed to account for this) (This is based on my other question where I needed the fastest way to do this in C#, but I think it makes good Code Golf across languages.)

  I've got a Linux server that's running our bacula backup system. The machine is grinding like mad because it's going heavy in to swap. The problem is, it's only using 60% of its physical memory! I'm at a loss to figure out what's going on. How can I find out what's causing this? Update: The system is a fully 64-bit system, so there should be no question of memory limitations due to 32-bit issues. Update2: As I mentioned in the original question, I've already tried tuning swappiness to all sorts of values, including 0. The result is always the same, with approximately 1.6 GB of memory remaining unused. Update3: Added top output to the above info.

  I have created a web application. One of the feature is text search which perform the boolean operator ( NOT, AND, OR) as well. However, I have no idea on calculating the search's accuracy and efficiency. For example: 1 . Probe identification system for a measurement instrument 2 . Pulse-based impedance measurement instrument 3 .   if I've string like "{ partner_name = test_partner}" OR " { partner_name : test_partner } its an example string will be very complex with several special characters included like =, [ , ] , { , } what will be the best way to convert it into a python object - so I can process it I tried with eval but it requires " ' " for string, but how can we add this special character \' before starting and ending of every word, I tried regular express re.findal('\w+') but it fails when my string contains ' _ ' or like characters as it will separate the string by ' _ ' Object of this question is my application needs, user friendly language as input - and I thought Json Dict will be good - but user is lazzy to put " ' " before and after of each string... then I thought for yaml but its also complex, if anybody can suggest better user friendly input which I use as python object - then please help me out.

  Hi all, I'm doing some calculations, and the results are being save in a file. I have to output very precise results, near the precision of the double variable, and I'm using the iomanip setprecision(int) for that. The problem is that I have to put the setprecision everywhere in the output, like that: func1() { cout<<setprecision(12)<<value; cout<<setprecision(10)<<value2; } func2() { cout<<setprecision(17)<<value4; cout<<setprecision(3)<<value42; } And that is very cumbersome.   I've got a git repository with plenty of commits that are under no particular branch, I can git show them but when I try to list branches that contain them, it reports back nothing: I thought this is the dangling commits/tree issue (as a result of -D branch), so I pruned the repo, but I still see the case after that: $ git fetch origin $ git fsck --unreachable $ git fsck No output, nothing dangling (right?) $ git show 793db7f272ba4bbdd1e32f14410a52a412667042 commit 793db7f272ba4bbdd1e32f14410a52a412667042 Author: ..   I am looking for a relatively simple HTML to text converter which displays links and works on strings. So far I have tried lynx but performance is too bad, html2text which gives weird and verbose markdown output and is under GPLv3 which is too restrictive for my (BSD-licensed) project, http://effbot.org/librarybook/formatter-example-3.py using htmllib.HTMLParser with formatter.AbstractFormatter and a custom writer, however htmllib.HTMLParser is drpeceated and has been removed from Python 3. So is there any simple, performant, Python 3-compatible HTML to text converter under a permissive license such as MIT/BSD/Apache and the like? Edit: I dont just need something to strip HTML-Tags but also to preserve the basic structure of the HTML, that is output that somewhat resembles that of Lynx.

• Serialize JavaScript's navigator object

  Hi, I'm creating a page to help diagnose the problem our users are experiencing with our web pages (you know, asking a user "What browser are you using?" usually leads to "Internet"). This page already submits to me all the HTTP headers and now I'm trying to have JavaScript give some more informations, so I thought it would be great to have the user's navigator JavaScript object and I started looking how to serialize it so I can submit it through a form. The problem is I'm not able to serialize the navigator object using any JSON library I know of, everyone returns an empty object (?!), so I decided to write an ad-hoc serializer. • Listfield layout question - blackberry

  I'm having an interesting anomaly when displaying a listfield on the blackberry simulator: The top item is the height of a single line of text (about 12 pixels) while the rest are fine. Does anyone know why only the top item is being drawn this way? Also, when I add an empty venue in position 0, it still displays the first actual venue this way (item in position 1). Not sure what to do. Thanks for any help.
