  • Firing events in script task

    - by Anonymouslemming
    I've got an SSIS project where I am constructing an SQL command based on some variables. I'm constructing the command in a script task, and want to output the constructed SQL to the 'Execution Results' window. I am trying to do this using a FireInformation line from inside my script as follows: Dts.Events.FireInformation(99, "test", "Make this event appear!", "", 0, true); However, in the script editor when editing ScriptMain.cs, that line is underlined in red, and on mouseover, I get the following message: Error: The best overloaded method match for 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Tasks.ScriptTask.EventsObjectWrapper.FireInformation(int, string, string, string, int, ref bool') has some invalid arguments As a result, my script does not compile and I cannot execute it. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here, or what I need to change to be able to see the values of my variables at this point in the Execution output?

  • How to add attributes to a HTML element in a valid way?

    - by Click Upvote
    I want to be able to add an attribute to a HTML element to be able to identify what its referring to. E.g if I have a list of names and a checkbox next to each name, like this: <div id="users"> Bob smith <input type=checkbox /> </div> And when a checkbox is clicked and the event handler function for it is called, I want to be able to identify which user was selected/unselected. Ideally I'm looking for something like this: <input type=checkbox data-userId = "xxx" /> Then when its clicked: function handleClick() { var userId = $(this).attr('data-userId'); } However I'm looking to do this in a way that won't break my HTML validation, and would still be valid HTML and work in all browsers. Any suggestions?

  • ASP.NET GridView - how to enable validation declaratively

    - by Joe
    It it possible to enable validation in an ASP.NET GridView purely declaratively? What I've tried: A GridView bound to an ObjectDataSource with SelectMethod and UpdateMethod defined The GridView contains some ReadOnly BoundField columns and a TemplateField whose EditTemplate contains a TextBox and a RegularExpressionValidator that only allows numeric input in the TextBox. The GridView also contains a CommandField with ShowEditButton=true and CausesValidation=true. If I click on Edit, enter an invalid value, then click on Save, there is a PostBack, and an exception is thrown in the server (Input string was not in a correct format). I can of course avoid this by adding validation code to the RowUpdating event handler on the server (see below), but is there any declarative way to force the validation to be done without adding this code? protected void MyGridView_RowUpdating(object sender, GridViewUpdateEventArgs e) { Page.Validate("MyValidationGroup"); if (!Page.IsValid) { e.Cancel = true; } }

  • One model and Many edit views

    - by user179438
    Hi, I have a model I named User, and I want use two different Views to edit it: the usual edit view and another view I called edit_profile. I had no problem in creating routing, controller and views: I added edit_profile and update_profile views, and I added on routes.rb the line: map.resources :users ,:member => {:edit_profile => :get, :update_profile => :put} The problem is: when I submit the form in edit_profile and some error occur in some input fields, rails reload the edit_path page instead of edit_profile_path page ! This is the form on edit_profile.html.erb form_for(:user, @user, :url => {:action => :update_profile}, :html => { :method => :put} ) do |f| = f.text_field :description = f.text_area :description = f.error_message_on :description .... .... = f.submit 'Update profile' After clicking Update profile, if input errors occur I want to show edit_profile view instead of edit view Do You have some ideas ? many thanks

  • How does the stream manipulators work?

    - by Narek
    It is well known that the user can define stream manipulators like this: ostream& tab(ostream & output) { return output<< '\t'; } And this can be used in main() like this: cout<<'a'<<tab<<'b'<<'c'<<endl; Please explain me how does this all work? If operator<< assumes as a second parameter a pointer to the function that takes and returns ostream &, then please explain my why it is necessary? What would be wrong if the function does not take and return ostream & but it was void instead of ostream &? Also it is interesting why “dec”, “hex” manipulators take effect until I don’t change between them, but user defined manipulators should be always used in order to take effect for each streaming?

  • Dynamic creation of a pointer function in c++

    - by Liberalkid
    I was working on my advanced calculus homework today and we're doing some iteration methods along the lines of newton's method to find solutions to things like x^2=2. It got me thinking that I could write a function that would take two function pointers, one to the function itself and one to the derivative and automate the process. This wouldn't be too challenging, then I started thinking could I have the user input a function and parse that input (yes I can do that). But can I then dynamically create a pointer to a one-variable function in c++. For instance if x^2+x, can I make a function double function(double x){ return x*x+x;} during run-time. Is this remotely feasible, or is it along the lines of self-modifying code?

  • Couldn't match expected type - Haskell Code

    - by wvyar
    I'm trying to learn Haskell, but the small bit of sample code I tried to write is running into a fairly large amount of "Couldn't match expected type" errors. Can anyone give me some guidance as to what I'm doing wrong/how I should go about this? These are the errors, but I'm not really sure how I should be writing my code. toDoSchedulerSimple.hs:6:14: Couldn't match expected type `[t0]' with actual type `IO String' In the return type of a call of `readFile' In a stmt of a 'do' block: f <- readFile inFile In the expression: do { f <- readFile inFile; lines f } toDoSchedulerSimple.hs:27:9: Couldn't match expected type `[a0]' with actual type `IO ()' In the return type of a call of `putStr' In a stmt of a 'do' block: putStr "Enter task name: " In the expression: do { putStr "Enter task name: "; task <- getLine; return inFileArray : task } toDoSchedulerSimple.hs:34:9: Couldn't match expected type `IO ()' with actual type `[a0]' In a stmt of a 'do' block: putStrLn "Your task is: " ++ (inFileArray !! i) In the expression: do { i <- randomRIO (0, (length inFileArray - 1)); putStrLn "Your task is: " ++ (inFileArray !! i) } In an equation for `getTask': getTask inFileArray = do { i <- randomRIO (0, (length inFileArray - 1)); putStrLn "Your task is: " ++ (inFileArray !! i) } toDoSchedulerSimple.hs:41:9: Couldn't match expected type `[a0]' with actual type `IO ()' In the return type of a call of `putStr' In a stmt of a 'do' block: putStr "Enter the task you would like to end: " In the expression: do { putStr "Enter the task you would like to end: "; task <- getLine; filter (endTaskCheck task) inFileArray } toDoSchedulerSimple.hs:60:53: Couldn't match expected type `IO ()' with actual type `[String] -> IO ()' In a stmt of a 'do' block: schedulerSimpleMain In the expression: do { (getTask inFileArray); schedulerSimpleMain } In a case alternative: "get-task" -> do { (getTask inFileArray); schedulerSimpleMain } This is the code itself. • Get return values from a stored procedure in c# (login process)

    - by Jin
    Hi all, I am trying to use a Stored Procedure which takes two parameters (login, pw) and returns the user info. If I execute the SP manually, I get Session_UID User_Group_Name Sys_User_Name ------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------- - NULL Administrators NTMSAdmin No rows affected. (1 row(s) returned) @RETURN_VALUE = 0 Finished running [dbo].[p_SYS_Login]. But with the code below, I only get the return value. do you know how to get the other values shown above like Session_UID, User_Group_Name, and Sys_User_Name ? if you see the commented part below code. I tried to add some output parameters but it doesn't work with incorrect number of parameters error. string strConnection = Settings.Default.ConnectionString; using (SqlConnection conn = new SqlConnection(strConnection)) { using (SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand()) { SqlDataReader rdr = null; cmd.Connection = conn; cmd.CommandText = "p_SYS_Login"; //cmd.CommandText = "p_sys_Select_User_Group"; cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; SqlParameter paramReturnValue = new SqlParameter(); paramReturnValue.ParameterName = "@RETURN_VALUE"; paramReturnValue.SqlDbType = SqlDbType.Int; paramReturnValue.SourceColumn = null; paramReturnValue.Direction = ParameterDirection.ReturnValue; //SqlParameter paramGroupName = new SqlParameter("@User_Group_Name", SqlDbType.VarChar, 50); //paramGroupName.Direction = ParameterDirection.Output; //SqlParameter paramUserName = new SqlParameter("@Sys_User_Name", SqlDbType.VarChar, 50); //paramUserName.Direction = ParameterDirection.Output; cmd.Parameters.Add(paramReturnValue); //cmd.Parameters.Add(paramGroupName); //cmd.Parameters.Add(paramUserName); cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@Sys_Login", textUserID.Text); cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@Sys_Password", textPassword.Text); try { conn.Open(); object result = cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); int returnValue = (int)cmd.Parameters["@RETURN_VALUE"].Value; if (returnValue == 0) { Hide(); Program.MapForm.Show(); } else if (returnValue == 1) { MessageBox.Show("The username or password you entered is incorrect", "NTMS Login", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Warning); } else if (returnValue == 2) { MessageBox.Show("This account is disabled", "NTMS Login", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Warning); } else { MessageBox.Show("Database error.   • user registeration form without captcha?

    Hi, I was trying to sign-up Twitter today and I noticed that their registration form does not have a captcha. The form URL is https://twitter.com/signup. I also noticed that they used an input like below. <input name="authenticity_token" type="hidden" value="ce803cee65a96aaa97bdf75da166599c3adc9ec8" /> what kind of method is this? Do they create a temp value in their database when a user access the registration form? and check it when a user submit the form?

  • Increment number in string

    - by iform
    Hi, I am stumped... I am trying to get the following output until a certain condition is met. test_1.jpg test_2.jpg .. test_50.jpg The solution (if you could remotely call it that) that I have is fileCount = 0 while (os.path.exists(dstPath)): fileCount += 1 parts = os.path.splitext(dstPath) dstPath = "%s_%d%s" % (parts[0], fileCount, parts[1]) however...this produces the following output. test_1.jpg test_1_2.jpg test_1_2_3.jpg .....etc The Question: How do I get change the number in its current place (without appending numbers to the end)? Ps. I'm using this for a file renaming tool.

  • How to access controls collection of dynamically loaded aspx page?

    - by Naasir
    Let's say I have two webforms, A.aspx and B.aspx, where B.aspx contains some simple web controls such as a textbox and a button. I'm trying to do the following: When A.aspx is requested, I want to dynamically call and load B.aspx into memory and output details of all the controls contained in B.aspx. Here is what I tried in the codebehind for A.aspx: var compiledType = BuildManager.GetCompiledType("~/b.aspx"); if (compiledType != null) { var pageB = (Page)Activator.CreateInstance(compiledType); } foreach (var control in pageB.Controls) { //output some details for each control, like it's name and type... } When I try the code above, the controls collection for pageB is always empty. Any ideas on how I can get this to work? Some other important details: both webforms utilize a master page (so the web controls in b.aspx are actually placed within a "content" tag) I've also tried using BuildManager.CreateInstanceFromVirtualPath. No luck.

  • login not working when changing from mysql to mysqli

    - by user1438647
    I have a code below where it logs a teacher in by matching it's username and password in the database, if correct, then log in, if incorrect, then display a message. <?php session_start(); $username="xxx"; $password="xxx"; $database="mobile_app"; $link = mysqli_connect('localhost',$username,$password); mysqli_select_db($link, $database) or die( "Unable to select database"); foreach (array('teacherusername','teacherpassword') as $varname) { $$varname = (isset($_POST[$varname])) ? $_POST[$varname] : ''; } ?> <form action="<?php echo htmlentities($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']); ?>" method="post" id="teachLoginForm"> <p>Username</p><p><input type="text" name="teacherusername" /></p> <!-- Enter Teacher Username--> <p>Password</p><p><input type="password" name="teacherpassword" /></p> <!-- Enter Teacher Password--> <p><input id="loginSubmit" type="submit" value="Login" name="submit" /></p> </form> <?php if (isset($_POST['submit'])) { $query = " SELECT * FROM Teacher t WHERE (t.TeacherUsername = '".mysqli_real_escape_string($teacherusername)."') AND (t.TeacherPassword = '".mysqli_real_escape_string($teacherpassword)."') "; $result = mysqli_query($link, $query); $num = mysqli_num_rows($result); $loged = false; while($row = mysqli_fetch_array($result)) { if ($_POST['teacherusername'] == ($row['TeacherUsername']) && $_POST['teacherpassword'] == ($row['TeacherPassword'])) { $loged = true; } $_SESSION['teacherforename'] = $row['TeacherForename']; $_SESSION['teachersurname'] = $row['TeacherSurname']; $_SESSION['teacherusername'] = $row['TeacherUsername']; } if ($loged == true){ header( 'Location: menu.php' ) ; }else{ echo "The Username or Password that you Entered is not Valid. Try Entering it Again."; } mysqli_close($link); } ?> Now the problem is that even if the teacher has entered in the correct username and password, it still doesn't let the teacher log in. When the code above was the old mysql() code, it worked fine as teacher was able to login when username and password match, but when trying to change the code into mysqli then it causes login to not work even though username and password match. What am I doing wrong?

  • Detecting when a process has finished (but not exited)

    - by Egwor
    I have a program that's run in unix (that I have no control over) that when finished prints 'Completed successfully' but does not exit. I want to automatically detect when the process finishes (by checking the output of the command), so that I can kill the process and so that I can proceed do other activities. The complexity comes because I want to be able to run multiples of these scripts concurrently. (One activity I need to do requires the script to be called with various inputs, but each time the script runs it takes a while to return, and so I want to do them in parallel) Has anyone done something similar to this? I could redirect the stderr and stdout output of the command to a temporary file which has a random file name, then tail the file and pipe to grep for the end conditions (I.e. the certain log lines). The problem is, surely tail -f would keep running, and so it would never exit. Should I poll? If so, what's the best approach?

  • JavaScript: Can I declare a variable by querying which function is called? (Newbie)

    - by belle3WA
    I'm working with an existing JavaScript-powered cart module that I am trying to modify. I do not know JS and for various reasons need to work with what is already in place. The text that appears for my quantity box is defined within an existing function: function writeitems() { var i; for (i=0; i<items.length; i++) { var item=items[i]; var placeholder=document.getElementById("itembuttons" + i); var s="<p>"; // options, if any if (item.options) { s=s+"<select id='options"+i+"'>"; var j; for (j=0; j<item.options.length; j++) { s=s+"<option value='"+item.options[j].name+"'>"+item.options[j].name+"</option>"; } s=s+"</select>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"; } // add to cart s=s+method+"Quantity: <input id='quantity"+i+"' value='1' size='3'/> "; s=s+"<input type='submit' value='Add to Cart' onclick='addtocart("+i+"); return false;'/></p>"; } placeholder.innerHTML=s; } refreshcart(false); } I have two different types of quantity input boxes; one (donations) needs to be prefaced with a dollar sign, and one (items) should be blank. I've taken the existing additem function, copied it, and renamed it so that there are two identical functions, one for items and one for donations. The additem function is below: function additem(name,cost,quantityincrement) { if (!quantityincrement) quantityincrement=1; var index=items.length; items[index]=new Object; items[index].name=name; items[index].cost=cost; items[index].quantityincrement=quantityincrement; document.write("<span id='itembuttons" + index + "'></span>"); return index; } Is there a way to declare a global variable based on which function (additem or adddonation) is called so that I can add that into the writeitems function so display or hide the dollar sign as needed? Or is there a better solution? I can't use HTML in the body of the cart page because of the way it is currently coded, so I'm depending on the JS to take care of it. Any help for a newbie is welcome. Thanks!

  • Javascript: setTimeout() - help needed

    - by ilkin
    Hi guys, I'm currently doing a highlighting function on a webpage and im using the jquery plugin for that. My code looks like this: var input = function() { var matchword = $('#searchbox').val(); if(matchword != "") { $('body').removeHighlight(); $('body').highlight($('#searchbox').val()); } } $(document).ready(function() { $('#searchbox').keyup(function() { setTimeout("input()", 2000); }); }); It works fine if there is not so large amount of data on the page. But in case of large amount of data on the page the whole process is slowing down which causes that inputbox is freezing untill the letter is hightlighted. So the typing is not smooth. I tryed to use a setTimeout but it seems doesnt help. Any ideas?
