  Hi, I am very new to Python, I need to read numbers from a file and store them in a matrix like I would do it in fortran or C; for i for j data[i][j][0]=read(0) data[i][j][1]=read(1) data[i][j][2]=read(2) ... ... How can I do the same in Python? I read a bit but got confused with tuples and similar things If you could point me to a similar example it would be great thanks

  Hi there, I want to have a function in my zsh for faster accessing my todo-files. It should look inside the folder ~/tasks where i put my todo-lists and stuff. Now i want to type task p and when I hit tab, it should use the files in that directory for autocompletition. Can anyone point me some direction? Or share some snippet to work with? Thanks

  I understand this is a subjective question and very likely could be closed, and although there is no right or wrong answer I do believe its a legitimate question. At what point do you no longer consider someone a beginner (ie knowledge of loops, encapsulation, instantiation), an intermediate (design patterns, reflection, delegates, interfaces) or an expert (architecture, multi-threadding). My rational for asking such a question is two-fold, first, when do I stop labeling my questions as beginner and during a job interview how should I categorize myself?

• How do you return stolen packets back to Netfilter

  Let's say I have intercepted a packet from Netfilter and subsequently returned NF_STOLEN. At some point I want to re-inject that packet back to, in this case, the TCP stream it came from. I want to do this from Kernel space. So far I have been unable to find a way to do this. Thanks for the help.

I heard that to use theis dll file you have to use "ctypes." So what are you supposed to do with it?

  I often read about dependency injection and I did research on google and I understand in theory what it can do and how it works, but I'd like to see an actual code base using it (Java/guice would be preferred). Can anyone point me to an open source project, where I can see, how it's really used?   hi, i want to partially download a ftp file. i just need to download lets say 10MB, but after skipping 100MB (for example). In php, http://php.net/manual/en/function.ftp-fget.php this function allows arbitay starting point: bool ftp_fget ( resource $ftp_stream , resource $handle , string $remote_file , int $mode [, int $resumepos = 0 ] ) however it does not allow me to set "how many bytes" i want to download.

  I have a variable in Python containing a floating point number (e.g. num = 24654.123), and I'd like to determine the number's precision and scale values (in the Oracle sense), so 123.45678 should give me (8,5), 12.76 should give me (4,2), etc. I was first thinking about using the string representation (via str or repr), but those fail for large numbers: >>> num = 1234567890.0987654321 >>> str(num) = 1234567890.1 >>> repr(num) = 1234567890.0987654

• Can't Get ANT build to work in eclipse

  Long story short: I want to add the --core-library flag at compile time to include a library that depends on some javax libraries that aren't included in the android platform. I have attempted the walkthrough here: http://commons.apache.org/scxml/usecases/scxml-stopwatch-on-android.html but nothing ever changed on the emulator. I don't think I can repackage the libraries I'm after because I cannot amend the callers to call the new packages without violating a license agreement. Please, someone, point me in the right direction.

  Is it possible to create a small program that will run, without recompiling and without emulators, on both Windows CE 6 AND Windows XP SP3? From my knowledge, this isn't possible. Source code needs to be recompiled for the target platform. However, a hardware manufacturer for embedded boards is claiming otherwise. The application isn't anything complex, just a simple benchmarking tool analysing floating point operations, CPU ticks etc, and displaying the results on a plain GUI.

What I intend to do is to hook to some system api,like a time interrupt happens every amount of time (which is how every application in the operating system interprets time) and make an application's call to this api return some bigger/smaller result. In my specific application there is a limited set of endpoints the curve may have, so I want to generate the set of possible curves, enumerate all of them and pick out all the ones which may end on a valid end point.
