  • UIWebView - remote html loading local images

    I'm trying to develop an application using UIWebView. The app is loading remote URL's, so in order to make it quick I want it to use the images included in the application bundle. I was wondering if there is a way to do it without forcing the application to manually replace the address of each image to point into local resources?

  • Apache as Reverse Proxy for CouchDB

    I'm thinking of a web app that uses CouchDB extensively, to the point where there would be great gains from serving with the native erlang HTTP API as much as possible. Can you configure Apache as a reverse proxy to allow outside GETs to be proxied directly to CouchDB, whereas PUT/POST are sent to the application internal logic (for sanitation, authentication...)? Or is this unwise -- the CouchDB built-in authentication options just seem a little weak for a Web App. Thanks

    I am trying to make a racing game with an overhead view looking down. There will be a separate mc for the ground and another separate mc for the players car. How can I do this? O ya and just in case i am thinking the way I did: I tried to "rotate" the ground but when the car moves down the ground it moves away from the registration point, so therefore it rotates non relative to the car i want to make this game in as3.

    When I look at gmail on my mobile web browser the password textbox hashes the characters as I type so I can see the actual input as I type before is hashed with an asterisk. So as I enter it becomes, P -- *a -- **s etc.. How is this done? I presume its javascript? If somone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

    I'm using a sqlite db which is very convenient and seems to meet all of my needs at this point. Currently my db size is <50MB, but I now need to add a new table which will store large text blobs, which will cause the db to reach up to 5GB within the next year. Would sqlite be able to deal with a 5GB db size? Any caveats to that, compared with say mysql?

    I need to implement a priority queue where the priority of an item in the queue can change and the queue adjusts itself so that items are always removed in the correct order. I have some ideas of how I could implement this but I'm sure this is quite a common data structure so I'm hoping I can use an implementation by someone smarter than me as a base.     In an application in Silverlight I'm working on, I need to track the moves of the mouse. My problem is that using the MouseMove event, I don't have a continuous set of points if the user moves the mouse fast enough (if I add each point in a list I can have (10,10) en then (20,20)...) I'd like to have ALL points where the mouse has been during the move. Do you have any idea ?
