  • node.js callback getting unexpected value for variable

    I have a for loop, and inside it a variable is assigned with var. Also inside the loop a method is called which requires a callback. Inside the callback function I'm using the variable from the loop. I would expect that it's value, inside the callback function, would be the same as it was outside the callback during that iteration of the loop. However, it always seems to be the value from the last iteration of the loop. Am I misunderstanding scope in JavaScript, or is there something else wrong? The program in question here is a node.js app that will monitor a working directory for changes and restart the server when it finds one.     For some reason, the layout and sizes of various panels in my copy of Visual Studio 2008 has gone all wonky -- for example, the Error and Output windows appear in the same tab group as my code, and their position doesn't persist if I attempt to manually move them where I want them to go. Is there some sort of way to reset all panels to their default state?

    Ok I seem to have got the most of the problem solved, I just need an expert eye to pick my error as I am stuck. I have a file of length [125 X 27] and I want to convert it to a file of length [144 x 27]. Now, I want to replace the missing files (time stamps) rows of zeros.   • How to efficently build an interpreter (lexer+parser) in C?

    I'm trying to make a meta-language for writing markup code (such as xml and html) wich can be directly embedded into C/C++ code. As you can see the traditional tag-based style is substituted by C-like, with blocks delimited by curly braces. I need to build an interpreter to translate this code to html and posteriorly insert it into C, so that it can be compiled. The C part stays intact. Inside the wdi source it is not necessary to use prints, every return statement will be used for output (in printf function). The program's output will be clean html code. So, for example a heading 1 tag would be transformed like this: h1 { "Hello, " + toCapital(name) + "!"; } // would become: printf("<h1>Hello, %s!</h1>", toCapital(name)); My main goal is to create an interpreter to translate wdi source to html like this: tag(attributes) {content} = <tag attributes>content</tag> Secondly, html code returned by the interpreter has to be inserted into C code with printfs. Variables and functions that occur inside wdi should also be sorted in order to use them as printf parameters (the case of toCapital(name) in sample source). I am searching for efficient (I want to create a fast parser) way to create a lexer and parser for wdi. Already tried flex and bison, but as I am not sure if they are the best tools. Are there any good alternatives? What is the best way to create such an interpreter? Can you advise some brief literature on this issue?

    Hi, I am going crazy with this error: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by... Please note that I know about the gazillion results on google and on stack overflow. My problem is the way I've constructed my pages. To keep html separate from php, I use include files. I can't have the header redirect before the output so having output buffering on is the only thing I can do. Naturally it works fine that way - but having to rely on that just stinks. It would be nice if PHP had an alternative way to redirect or had additional parameters to tell it to clear the buffer.

    I am looking for a solution to create a "virtual" webcam device under OS X (that acts just as a normal hardware webcam, but the application has full control over what to output). I'm fairly experienced with C++, but not so much with Objective-C and OSX/Cocoa programming. Anyone that can point me in the right direction, where to look and what I should be looking for?     I have created a custom JiBX marshaller and verified it works. So I tried to reference it with abstract mapping like this: <binding xmlns:tns="http://foobar.com/foo" direction="output"> <namespace uri="http://foobar.com/foo" default="elements"/> <mapping abstract="true" type-name="configuration" class="java.util.HashMap" marshaller="com.foobar.Marshaller1"/> <mapping abstract="true" type-name="overrides" class="java.util.HashMap" marshaller="com.foobar.Marshaller2"/> <mapping name="context" class="com.foobar.Context"> <structure map-as="configuration" field="configuration"/> <structure map-as="overrides" field="overrides"/> </mapping> </binding> However when doing so, when I attempt to build the binding, I receive the following: Error during code generation for file "E:\project\src\main\jibx\foo.jibx" - this may be due to an error in your binding or classpath, or to an error in the JiBX code My guess is that either I'm missing something I need to implement to enable my custom marshaller for abstract mapping, or custom marshallers do not support abstract mapping. I have found the IAbstractMarshaller interface in the JiBX API (http://jibx.sourceforge.net/api/org/jibx/runtime/IAbstractMarshaller.html), however the documentation seems unclear to me on if this is what I need to implement, as well as how it works if so. I have not been able to find an implementation of this interface to work off of as an example. My question is, how do you do abstract mapping with custom marshallers (if it's possible)? If it is done via the IAbstractMarshaller interface, how does it work and/or how should I implement it?
