  • TreeMap randomly stops properly returning values

    I have the following TreeMap: TreeMap<String, Integer> distances = new TreeMap<String, Integer>(); and it contains both strings, "Face" and "Foo", with appropriate values, such that: System.out.println(distances); Yields: {Face=12, Foo=2} However, distances.get(Face) returns null, even though distances.get(Foo) properly returns 2. Previously, distances.get(Face) worked, but for some reason, it stopped working. Note I print out the map right before calling get() for both keys, so I haven't accidentally changed Face's value to null. Has anyone else ever encountered this problem? Is there anything I can do? I'm having a terrible time simply trying to figure out how to debug this problem.

    I have Window that has a ListBox ListBox(MyListBox) has a DataTable for its DataContext ListBox's ItemSource is : {Binding} Listbox has a UserControl(MyUserControl) as DataTemplate UserControl has RadioButtons and TextBoxes (At first They're filled with values from DataTable and then user can change them) Window has one Submit Button What I want to do is, when user clicks the submit button For each ListBox Item, get the values form UserControl's TextBoxes and RadioButtons. I was using that method for this job : foreach(var element in MyListBox.Items) { var border = MyListBox.ItemContainerGenerator.ContainerFromItem(element)as FrameworkElement; MyUserControl currentControl = VisualTreeHelper.GetChild(VisualTreeHelper.GetChild(VisualTreeHelper.GetChild(myBorder,0) as Border,0)as ContentPresenter,0)as MyUserControl; //And use currentControl } I realised nothing when using 3-5 items in Listbox. But when I used much more items, I saw that "var border" gets "null" after some elements looped in foreach function.   • WWDC 2012 announced features on iOS 5?

    I am relatively new to iOS development, so after watching a bunch of WWDC videos announcing new awesome features for the iPhone SDK, I still got a few questions regarding their support for older devices. Specifically: Do the new compiler features (such as literals support, auto-synthesize, etc) require iOS 6 on the target device, or can the new style code be deployed to iOS 5 devices? Auto-layout for iOS, same question. Will it only be supported on iOS 6, or 5 as well? If it's 6 only, what kind of fallback are we expected to implement? Would really appreciate if someone could clarify this for me, as I'm thinking about rewriting my older unfinished project and I would love to use some of that improved SDK functionality.

    I wanted to add background image to my JFrame. Background image means I can later add Components on the JFrame or JPanel Although I coudn't find how to add background image to a JFrame, I found out how to add background image to a JPanel from here: How to set background image in Java? This solved my problem, but now since my JFrame is resizable I want to keep the image in center. The code I found uses this method public void paintComponent(Graphics g) { //Draw the previously loaded image to Component. g.drawImage(img, 0, 0, null); //Draw image } Can anyone say how to align the image to center of the JPanel. As g.drawImage(img, 0, 0, null); provides x=0 and y=0 Also if there is a method to add background image to a JFrame then I would like to know. Thanks.

    I am writting a Twitter web app by using Twitter4J on GAE/J. I am saving Twitter and Request Token objects in session so that to be used after call back. I have two servlets. IndexServlet sets session and HomeServlet get from session (hits on call back by twitter oAuth). If I comment out session handling lines in both servlets then call backs works fine. Please suggest any workaround. I am sharing my code here.     hi there i am doing a query thus: int numberInInterval = (from dsStatistics.J2RespondentRow item in jStats.J2Respondent where item.EndTime > dtIntervalLower && item.EndTime <= dtIntervalUpper select item).count(); there appear to be some dbnulls in the endtime column.. any way i can avoid these? tried adding && where item.endtime != null.. and even != dbnull.value do i have to do a second (first) query to grab all that arent null then run the above one? im sure its super simple fix, but im still missing it.. as per thanks nat

  • Web-based CMS for mobile app

    I'm just about to start developing a mobile app which needs to be fed from a CMS. I started designing the tables when I thought there must be something out there which could save me a load of time and let me concentrate on the mobile side of things. So, I'm looking for a CMS that will let me create hierarchical "pages" which will just be 4-5 database fields with a simple front-end to allow to edit and update them. I don't mind having to write some code to layout the database and forms etc, any saving on starting from scratch would be good. The only requirement is that I be able to access the data via some sort of web service, REST, JSON, XML, anything really... Can anyone suggest anything that might help? Thanks, J

If I ditch the metadata class and just decorated the property on the actual class it works fine. WTH am I doing wrong? This is putting me on the verge of insanity. Please help.
