Why does "enable-shared failed" happen on libjpeg build for os X?

I'm trying to install libjpeg on os X to fix a problem with the Python Imaging Library JPEG setup. I downloaded libjpeg from http://www.ijg.org/files/jpegsrc.v7.tar.gz I then began to setup the config file cp /usr/share/libtool/config.sub . cp /usr/share/libtool/config.guess . ./configure –enable-shared However, the enable-shared flag didn't seem to work. $ ./configure –-enable-shared configure: WARNING: you should use --build, --host, --target configure: WARNING: invalid host type: –-enable-shared checking build system type... Invalid configuration `–-enable-shared': machine `–-enable' not recognized configure: error: /bin/sh ./config.sub –-enable-shared failed I've done lot's of google searches and I can't figure out where the error is or how to work around this error.

Rails choking on the content of this request because of protect_from_forgery

I'm trying to simply test my RESTful API with cURL. Using the following invocation: curl -d "name=jimmy" -H "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded" http://127.0.0.1:3000/people.xml -i Rails is dying though: ActionController::InvalidAuthenticityToken (ActionController::InvalidAuthenticityToken): :8:in `synchronize' Looks like it's running this through a protect_from_forgery filter. I thought protect_from_forgery is excluded for non-HTML HTTP POST/PUT/DELETE type requests? This is clearly targeting the XML format. If I pass actual XML content, it works. But my users will be submitting POST data as URL encoded parameters. I know all the various ways I can disable protect_from_forgery but what's the proper way of handling this? I want to leave it on so that when I do have HTML based forms and handle format.html, I don't forget to re-enable it for then. I want users to be able to make HTTP POST requests to my XML-based API though and not get bombarded with this.

Also I would like to add the validation to the top of the screen as a validation summary Any Ideas ?

Hi, I have a method in my application called "Save as" which Saves the image of my application on computer my into a file. I used the JFileChooser to let the users choose their desired location for saving the file. The problem is unless user explicitly types in the file format, it saves the file with no extension. How can I have formats like jpg, png in the File Type drop down menu. and, how can i get extension from the File Type drop menu for saving my image file. ImageIO.write(image,extension,file);

treeview binding wpf cannot bind nested property in a class

Hi all New to wpf and therefore struggling a bit. I am putting together a quick demo before we go for the full implementation I have a treeview on the left with Continent Country City structure when a user select the city it should populate some textboxes in a tabcontrol on the right hand side I made it sort of work but cannot make it work with composite objects. In a nutshell can you spot what is wrong with my zaml or code. Why is not binding to a my CityDetails.ClubsCount or CityDetails.PubsCount? How does this differ from the System.Lazy<...> construct now available in .NET 4.0 (and perhaps earlier)? More depth based on DoctaJones' great answer: Would you recommend one over the other if I wanted to operate on IQueryable as a List<T>? I'm assuming that since Lazy<T> is in the framework now, it is a safer bet for future support and maintainability? If I want to use a strong type instead of an anonymous (var) type would the following statements be functionally equivalent? I saw a question yesterday which raised (for me) another question. Please look at the following code: public class Class1 { int A; //as I uderstand, int is value type and therefore lives in the stack } class Class2 { Run() { Class1 instance1 = new Class1(); instance1.A = 10; //it points to value type, but isnt this reference (on heap)? } } Or while creating the instance of Class1, its field types are created on the heap as well? But then I do not understand when it would really be on the stack as almost always you need to create an instance of object in order to use it fields.

Hi I'm starting to learn symfony for php framework and I got problem with httpd.conf configuration. First, I have xampplite installed on my windows c:\xampplite\ and then I created a symfony project (as described on getting started guide) c:\xampplite\htdocs\symfonytest\ Everything works fine when I tried to access http://localhost/symfonytest/web/ (all icons and text are displayed pretty well) Now I got to configure the httpd.conf and I type like this: <VirtualHost 127.0.0.1/symfonytest> DocumentRoot "c:\xampplite\htdocs\symfonytest\web" DirectoryIndex index.php <Directory "c:\xampplite\htdocs\symfonytest\web"> AllowOverride All Allow from All </Directory> Alias /sf c:\xampplite\htdocs\symfonytest\web\sf <Directory "c:\xampplite\htdocs\symfonytest\web\sf"> AllowOverride All Allow from All </Directory> But it has no effect at all ... when I type http://127.0.0.1/symfonytest/ it still displayed directory list of my c:\xampplite\htdocs\symfonytest\ How to solve this httpd.conf problem? Very unusual and weird problem with gVim 7.2

After installing gVim and running gvim from the run window, if I were to type :cd followed by a tab, I will get \AppData, \Application Data, etc. Which basically means I'm at my $HOME directory (C:\Users\Fabian). The weird thing is I do not have a \Application Data folder there. But if I were to run gvim.exe from its installation folder, and I type :cd followed by tab, I would get \autoload, \colors, etc. which means I'm at the installation folder. And if I were to pin gvim.exe on to taskbar, upon launch and typing :cd then tab, I will get \Dictionaries and upon hitting tab again I get a beep. I think for the last scenario, I'm at some Adobe folder. Anybody knows how to fix this weird issue? I'd like to pin it to taskbar and upon launch, start in the $HOME directory (C:\Users\Fabian).

MS Word paste into tinymce - retain tabulators

Hi, I have a 5 year old web application which runs tinymce 2.0.5.1 In this version it is possible - in IE 6,7,8 only to paste from MS Word and retain the tab characters. What we have done is to add a callback: paste_insert_word_content_callback : "findtabs" function findtabs(type, content) { if (type == "before"){ content = content.replace(/( This functionality is important to the client as they have 100s of MS Word documents of quote templates which use tabulators for formatting. Because of another problem suspected to be caused by TinyMCE, we'd like to upgrade to the current TinyMCE version 3.2.7 However in this version the resulting paste code does not contain anything that seems to 100% link to a tabulator. If pasted into an empty textarea, I get something like , if pasted into a I simply a space character. Can anyone recommend how to detect tabulators when pasting from MS Word?

C# .NET MVC Call an action from another controller

I have two different objects: contracts, and task orders. My requirements specify that in order to view the Details for either object, the Url should be "http://.../Contract/Details" or "http://.../TaskOrder/Details" depending on which type. They are both very similar and the details pages are almost identical, so I made a class that can either be a contract or a task order, and has a variable "objectTypeID" that says which type it is. I wrote the action "Details" in the task order controller, but now I want to call that from the contract controller instead of recopying the code. So is there any way to have the url still say ".../Contract/Details" but call the action in the TaskOrder controller instead? I tried using TaskOrderController TOController = new TaskOrderController(); TOController.Details(id); This would have worked except that I can't use the HttpContext.Session anymore, which I used several times in the action.

where to enlist transaction with parent child delete (repository or bll)?

My app uses a business layer which calls a repository which uses linq to sql. I have an Item class that has an enum type property and an ItemDetail property. I need to implement a delete method that: (1) always delete the Item (2) if the item.type is XYZ and the ItemDetail is not null, delete the ItemDetail as well. My question is where should this logic be housed? If I have it in my business logic which I would prefer, this involves two separate repository calls, each of which uses a separate datacontext. I would have to wrap both calls is a System.Transaction which (in sql 2005) get promoted to a distributed transaction which is not ideal. I can move it all to a single repository call and the transaction will be handled implicitly by the datacontext but feel that this is really business logic so does not belong in the repository. Passwordless SSH not working - keys copied and permissions set

I know this question has been asked, but I'm certain I've done what all the other answers suggest. Machine A: used keygen -t rsa to create id_rsa.pub in ~/.ssh/ copied Machine A's id_rsa.pub to Machine B user's home directory Made the file permissions of id_rsa.pub 600 Machine B added Machine A's pub key to authorised_keys and authorised_keys2: cat ~/id_rsa.pub ~/.ssh/authorised_keys2 made the file permissions of id_rsa.pub 600 I've also ensured both the .ssh directories have the permission 700 on both machine A and B. If I try to login to machine B from machine A, I get asked for the password, not the ssh pass phrase. I've got the root users on both machines to talk to each other using password-less ssh, but I can't get a normal user to do it. Do the user names have to be the same on both sides? Or is there some setting else where I've missed. I want to do a final year B.Sc project on parking space detection. Can anybody give me some link related to it? Any text-book, tutorial or anything? What would be prerequisite for this project? What type of skills(programming/math) are needed? What are the initial steps to do? What type of readings(algorithms of image processing) are needed?
