  • Visual Studio 2010, using VB.NET. Intellisense does not recognize new property until I recompile

    I have an ASP.NET VB.NET web project that references a VB.NET class library. I add a new property to a class in the class library, then, from the web app, I expect to be able to use it immediately w/o errors and with full intellisense. It used to work in 2008. When I compile the class library, it becomes available but not until. Was this nice feature taken away, perhaps in the interest of speed?

    Hey all, I'm working on a project and I'm wondering how to get a type of window common in Windows's wireless controls, as shown in the screen shot below: http://cybernetnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/windows-7-wireless.jpg There's no close or maximize buttons, but the border is still present.     I'm working with a client on a rails project that wants to have a user model with 'stub' accounts that are created by an administrator, but that can later be claimed by the actual user, with authentication enabled on that user once the owner has claimed it. Was wondering if anyone has done this before, and what the best approach would be. We're currently using Authlogic to handle authentication.

    Is it possible to automatically encrypt files via 'git push' before transferring to a remote repository? And automatically decode them while 'git pull'. I.e, if I have some remote server with shared access with git repository there, and I don't want to our project was stolen without a permission... My project isn't using Django, is there a simple way to serialize App Engine models (google.appengine.ext.db.Model) into JSON or do I need to write my own serializer? My model class is fairly simple.     A friend of mine is working on a legacy VB6 project. I haven't touched that language in ten years, so I'm pretty rusty. Anyway, is there any kind of reflection API for VB6? Specifically, he needs a way to iterate the properties (and types) of a user-created Class. (In other words, not an external COM object, but an internal "Class Module" as it's called.) How can this be done?

    Is it possible to exclude specific files (*.ai, *.psd) when pushing to certain repositories with GIT? My need comes from trying to use GIT for both version control and deployment to Heroku. I've looked at several existing CRM and open source ChMS solutions but have not been satisfied with any of them. Particularly, the application needs to perform CRUD and optimally allow for dynamic user-based creation/editing of fields associated with contacts etc.

  • Cannot find typenames ("cannot resolve symbol")

Despite the latest binary being added to the website project, my code (eg myRadGrid.Datasource = "";) shows a red line on type names as they cannot be found for some reason.
