• How do I save an altered image in matlab?

    - by ef-i-blinky
So I am using the code located here: http://wwwx.cs.unc.edu/~sjguy/CompVis/Features/BlobDetect.m and I was wondering how to save the final blob detected image. The image that I am doing the blob detection on gets shown and then he manually draws the lines on the image here: Xbar = cx1+X.*cos(alpha)+Y.*sin(alpha); Ybar = cy1+Y.*cos(alpha)-X.*sin(alpha); line(Xbar', Ybar', 'Color', color, 'LineWidth', ln_wid); I then want to save this image using something like imwrite. I have been reading around and it seems that no one really has an answer to to this problem. Thanks for any help you can give me, Josh

  • MODx not display correct image path

    - by Austin
In the MODx WYSIWYG whenever I click the Image icon to insert an image, followed by browse image it generates the wrong path: /data/12/1/111/99/1111262/user/1169144/htdocs/images/image.jpg instead of assets/images/image.jpg I have checked my Resource URL and Resource Path and they both look correct. Has anyone ever experienced MODx rewriting your paths to the server vs what it should be?

  • How to select random image of specific size using Django / Python?

    - by Jonathan
I've been using this little snippet to select random images. However I would like to change it to select only images of a certain size. I'm running into trouble checking against image size. If I use get_image_dimensions() I need to use a conditional statement, which then requires that I allow exceptions. So, I guess I need some pointers on just limiting by image dimensions. Thanks. import os import random import posixpath from django import template from django.conf import settings register = template.Library() def is_image_file(filename): """Does `filename` appear to be an image file?""" img_types = [".jpg", ".jpeg", ".png", ".gif"] ext = os.path.splitext(filename)[1] return ext in img_types @register.simple_tag def random_image(path): """ Select a random image file from the provided directory and return its href. `path` should be relative to MEDIA_ROOT. Usage: """ fullpath = os.path.join(settings.MEDIA_ROOT, path) filenames = [f for f in os.listdir(fullpath) if is_image_file(f)] pick = random.choice(filenames) return posixpath.join(settings.MEDIA_URL, path, pick)

  • Algorithm to rotate an image 90 degrees in place? (No extra memory)

    - by user9876
In an embedded C app, I have a large image that I'd like to rotate by 90 degrees. Currently I use the well-known simple algorithm to do this. However, this algorithm requires me to make another copy of the image. I'd like to avoid allocating memory for a copy, I'd rather rotate it in-place. Since the image isn't square, this is tricky. Does anyone know of a suitable algorithm?

  • Is traditional JavaScript image pre-loading taboo

    - by Evan Plaice
I remember the good-old-days (not really) back when I was still sucking the teet of Dreamweaver to build websites and the lure of playing copypasta with fancy built-in scripts (ex, image-swap) was like black magic. I'm pretty far removed from that now days but I was adapting a small site from it's original FrontPage (::cringe::) format to a standard HTML/CSS implementation and couldn't help wondering... should I should re-implement the JavaScript image pre-loading into the current version? Or, is there a better way? I don't want to block the page from loading by requiring the user to request all the assets withing the page by using the traditional JavaScript pre-loader method. I value giving the user something to look at ASAP, and there's some potential harm to my Google mojo by doing so. Is there a cleaner solution to prevent unnecessary page-reflows during loading? Such as, setting the static width/height dimensions through a CSS style attribute on the image element.

  • Image libraries sites to download pro images with no credits expiration policy

    - by Marco Demaio
I found professional image libraries sites like http://www.istockphoto.com or http://www.dreamstime.com are quite useful to add some cool images to a website either when filling its contents or when designing its graphic layout. Unfortunately both of the site I listed above use credits plans that expires after 12 months: you buy credits (using real bucks) and then you can download images, but if you don't use all the credits within 1 year, thay suck them out from your virtual wallet (I think it's really unfair, but too bad for you, that's their policy). Do you know about other good image libraries sites (from your real life experience) that use credits to download images, but thay don't expire after 12 months? Obviously I won't ignore your suggestions about any other image libraries sites.

  • Do image backlinks count as backlinks?

    - by sam
If i have lots of images appearing tumblr blogs, the sort of tumblogs with very little text just reams and reams of images for people to browse through (example - http://whereisthecool.com/). If my image is embeded in their site like this : so the image was a link back to my site. Although there is no anchor text to speak of does google take into account the alt text of the image ? Would this still count in googles eyes as a backlink ?

  • How to unit test image processing code?

    - by rold2007
I'm working in image processing (mainly OCR) and I wonder how I should integrate unit tests in my development. I'm already using unit tests for more "common" type of code but when dealing with image processing code I'm not sure how to deal with it. This kind of code always need some image data input/output and mocking this is not obvious. For now I'm mostly doing integration tests but they take a while to run and I would like some ideas on how to break down this kind of code into unit tests so that I can run them more quickly.

  • How to Create a Custom Refresh Image in Windows 8

    - by Taylor Gibb
We have already shown you how to use the Refresh and Reset features in Windows 8, now we are back to show you how you can create a custom refresh image. This means next time you refresh your Windows 8 PC, you can use a custom image instead of the one that shipped with your PC. When you refresh your PC, all your files as well as Metro applications that you downloaded from the Windows store are kept. This is great, however, all your non-metro applications and PC settings are removed. If you are like me and have a lot of non-metro apps this can be very annoying, but you can fix this by creating a refresh image that already has your apps installed and your settings tweaked. 6 Start Menu Replacements for Windows 8 What Is the Purpose of the “Do Not Cover This Hole” Hole on Hard Drives? • Will URL encoding the image names

    - by TheGateKeeper
Just wondering if it makes any difference to Google whether or not I URL encode the image names when linking to them. For example if I have an image named "test-1234-!.jpg", does it make a difference if I name it refer to it as "test-1234-%21.jpg"? The reason I am asking is because I am doing a major shift in the way my website works and while all new image names will not be URL encoded, all of the past ones are. I want to see if it is worth it renaming all of them or if I should just leave it like that.

  • Errors with linux-image-3.8.0-36-generic and GRUB

    - by user285239
OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Problem 1: When installing anything (or updating) it always ends with this error: Errors were encountered while processing: linux-image-3.8.0-36-generic linux-image-3.8.0-38-generic linux-image-generic-lts-raring linux-generic-lts-raring Problem 2: When installing or updating stuff it opens some grub files and halts execution until I close these grub files. See screenshot below. Grub files + terminal window (screenshot) Pastebin with terminal output while trying to install something I should mention that I don't known if these two errors are related, but it is a fact that every time I try to install something or run an update both of the above errors pop up. I couldn't find anything of interest in the logs I looked at (probably because I don't know what/where to look), but tell me if you need me to upload something. Edit 02 june. • Strategy for image sizes

    - by MotiveKyle
I run a site that has a lot of writers that generate quite a few articles a day. I require them to provide two image sizes (one for the big headline image and one as the thumbnail). I've been wanting to change up the site layout a bit, but I am becoming limited by the image sizes for the posts. I have considered just cropping images, but they still need to look nice, and cropping doesn't always generate what I'd want. I'd prefer to just scale down by percentage (as I do with thumbnails). Should I just make the writers provide more images? How do other sites handle this?

  • Letting the user draw a Polygon Body and Image

    - by Siddharth
In my game, I want to provide the user with a drawing feature. By free hand drawing, the user creates a polygon shape. Then, in my game implementation, I have to create a body for the found vertices and generate an image based on that polygon shape. My problem is how to create an image that matches the user-provided vertices. I've heard that cocos2d has something called Image Masking. I don't understand how I could implement it in AndEngine. Could someone help?

  • Uploading file from file object with PyCurl

    - by Tom
I'm attempting to upload a file like this: import pycurl c = pycurl.Curl() values = [ ("name", "tom"), ("image", (pycurl.FORM_FILE, "tom.png")) ] c.setopt(c.URL, "http://upload.com/submit") c.setopt(c.HTTPPOST, values) c.perform() c.close() This works fine. However, this only works if the file is local. If I was to fetch the image such that: import urllib2 resp = urllib2.urlopen("http://upload.com/people/tom.png") How would I pass resp.fp as a file object instead of writing it to a file and passing the filename? Is this possible?

  • It is only uploading first row's file input

    - by user1304328
I have a application which you can access here. If you open the application please click on the "Add" button a couple of times. This will add a new row into a table below. In each table row there is an AJAX file uploader. Now the problem is that if I click on the "Upload" button in any row except the first row, then the uploading only happens in the first row so it is only uploading the first file input only. Why is it doing this and how can I get it so that when then the user clicks the "Upload" button, the file input within that row of the "Upload" button is uploaded and not the first row being uploaded? Below is the full code where it appends the file AJAX file uploaded in each table row: function insertQuestion(form) { var $tbody = $('#qandatbl > tbody'); var $tr = $("

"); var $image = $("

"); var $fileImage = $("" + "
Loading...

" + "File:
" + "
"); $image.append($fileImage); $tr.append($image); $tbody.append($tr); } function startUpload(){ document.getElementById('f1_upload_process').style.visibility = 'visible'; document.getElementById('f1_upload_form').style.visibility = 'hidden'; return true; } function stopUpload(success){ var result = ''; if (success == 1){ result = 'The file was uploaded successfully!

'; } else { result = 'There was an error during file upload!

'; } document.getElementById('f1_upload_process').style.visibility = 'hidden'; document.getElementById('f1_upload_form').innerHTML = result + 'File: '; document.getElementById('f1_upload_form').style.visibility = 'visible'; return true; }
