    I need to improve on a regular expression I'm using. Currently, here it is: ^[a-zA-Z\s/-]+ I'm using it to pull out medication names from a variety of formulation strings, for example: SULFAMETHOXAZOLE-TRIMETHOPRIM 200-40 MG/5ML PO SUSP AMOX TR/POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE 125 mg-31.25 mg ORAL TABLET, CHEWABLE AMOXICILLIN TRIHYDRATE 125 mg ORAL TABLET, CHEWABLE AMOX TR/POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE 125 mg-31.25 mg ORAL TABLET, CHEWABLE Amoxicillin 1000 MG / Clavulanate 62.5 MG Extended Release Tablet The resulting matches on these examples are: SULFAMETHOXAZOLE-TRIMETHOPRIM AMOX TR/POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE AMOXICILLIN TRIHYDRATE AMOX TR/POTASSIUM CLAVULANATE Amoxicillin The first four are what I want, but on the fifth, I really need "Amoxicillin / Clavulanate". How would I pull out patterns like "Amoxicillin / Clavulanate" (in fifth row) while missing patterns like "MG/5 ML" (in the first row)?

  • How do I retrieve row ID from an MVCContrib HTML Grid?

    Hi, I currently have a product view page that contains an MVCContrib HTML Grid with a select link at the beginning of each row. If the select link is clicked, it takes me to a different page. My question is whether it is possible to retrieve the productID from the row that is selected and pass that to the next page. Maybe this is posible to do with a session variable but im not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.   • How do I use a shared library (in this case JsonCpp) in my C++ program on Linux?

    I'm a new-ish C++ programmer, and I'm doing my first program on my own using C++. I decided I would like to use JSON to store some of the data I'm going to be using, and I've found a library to handle JSON, JsonCpp. I've installed the library using my Linux system's package manager, and in my C++ code, I've used in my source code file #include <json> and compiled it using g++ and it's -ljson and -L/usr/lib options (libjson.so is located in /usr/lib). However, the first usage of Json::Value, an object provided by the library, gives a compilation error of "Json has not declared". I'm sure my mistake is something simple, so could someone explain what I'm doing wrong? None of the books I had mention how to use shared libraries, so I've had to google to find this much.

  • number of days in a period that fall within another period

    I have 2 independent but contiguous date ranges. The first range is the start and end date for a project. Lets say start = 3/21/10 and end = 5/16/10. The second range is a month boundary (say 3/1/10 to 3/31/10, 4/1/10 to 4/30/10, etc.) I need to figure out how many days in each month fall into the first range. The answer to my example above is March = 10, April = 30, May = 16. I am trying to figure out an excel formula or VBA function that will give me this value. Any thoughts on an algorithm for this? I feel it should be rather easy but I can't seem to figure it out. I have a formula which will return TRUE/FALSE if ANY part of the month range is within the project start/end but not the number of days. That function is below. return month_start <= project_end And month_end >= project_start

  • Rails app is prepending tunnlr web address when using link helpers

    I set up facebooker to tunnel my Ruby on Rails application. The issue is that I would like to test locally. That is, I don't want to have to start a tunnel every time I want to see my changes. Right now, when I start the application using ruby script/server (not calling rake facebooker:tunnel:background_start beforehand), links created by helpers (e.g., stylesheet_link_tag, javascript_include_tag, image_tag) are prepended with my tunnlr address: http://web1.tunnlr.com:myPort/. (For example, a CSS link looks like this in the page source: http://web1.tunnlr.com:myPort//stylesheets/appName.css?1234567890.) I don't want that functionality; I can't see my CSS or JavaScript changes without starting the tunnel first. I want the links to be relative to what's running on my machine, not the tunnel. So, stylesheet_link_tag should produce /stylesheets/appName.css?1234567890. Does anyone know why it's doing that in the first place and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

    In my application I needed something like a particle system so I did the following: While the application initializes I load a UIImage laserImage = [UIImage imageNamed:@"laser.png"]; UIImage *laserImage is declared in the Interface of my Controller. Now every time I need a new particle this code makes one: // add new Laserimage UIImageView *newLaser = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:laserImage]; [newLaser setTag:[model.lasers count]-9]; [newLaser setBounds:CGRectMake(0, 0, 17, 1)]; [newLaser setOpaque:YES]; [self.view addSubview:newLaser]; [newLaser release]; Please notice that the images are only 17px * 1px small and model.lasers is a internal array to do all the calculating seperated from graphical output. So in my main drawing loop I set all the UIImageView's positions to the calculated positions in my model.lasers array: for (int i = 0; i < [model.lasers count]; i++) { [[self.view viewWithTag:i+10] setCenter:[[model.lasers objectAtIndex:i] pos]]; } I incremented the tags by 10 because the default is 0 and I don't want to move all the views with the default tag. So the animation looks fine with about 10 - 20 images but really gets slow when working with about 60 images. So my question is: Is there any way to optimize this without starting over in OpenGl ES?   • UITableView not responding to row selection until a different row is selected

    This is driving me nuts. I have searched on everything I can think of to find a solution but haven't found one yet. I've got a UITableView that uses custom cells. The accessory is the detail disclosure button. I would like the cell to respond to either row selection or the disclosure button being tapped. It responds to the disclosure button just as you would expect. But selecting the row is a different story. When I select the row, it highlights, but nothing happens until I tap a different row. Then the previously selected row does what it was supposed to do, which is to create and push a new view controller for that row. If I tap a single row five times and then tap a different row, it then creates and pushes five view controllers for that first row. It does this both in the simulator and on the device. What's really maddening is that I have another tableview in the same application that responds correctly to row selection or tapping the detail disclosure button. I can't find anything I've done differently between the two. Has anyone seen this before?

  • iPhone UI layout debugging

    I have this chronic issue with iPhone UI development where views sometimes seem to appear on the screen in a location different than what is reported by their frame property. Here is what I am doing to try to debug the issue: UIView *currentView = self.view; while (currentView!=nil) { NSLog(@"frame: %f,%f,%f,%f", currentView.frame.origin.x, currentView.frame.origin.y, currentView.frame.size.width, currentView.frame.size.height); currentView = currentView.superview; } I expect this should show me the coordinates and size of each element up the hierarchy from the given view to the app's root UIWindow element, with the coordinates for each element relative to its parent. However, that does not seem to be the case. In my current situation, I have a UI I'm trying to debug where every other time I rotate the device, the whole UI shifts up or down 20 pixels, yet the code block above reports exactly the same numbers every time. I tried calling the above code after as much as a second delay, but that the numbers still come out the same each time. Does anyone know a better way to inspect the screen coordinates of UI elements? If I can detect when one is wrong, I can compensate for the problem when it appears.

  • Exporting SQL Server table to CSV issue commas, tabs and quotes

    After we export to flat file CSV, columns with commas, quotes and tabs cause problems in Excel. The vendor needs to read the file in Excel to make manual changes and then needs it in a flat file format CSV format to load using PL/SQL into an Oracle table. I can remove those characters from the table in SQL Server, but is there a smarter way? Does it make sense to save to CSV when done in Excel and will that cause problems when attempting to load the file into Oracle anyway? Also, we need the first row to have column names.. any SQL way to generate all the files in one swoop (the the tiles in the first row) rather than using export to flat file?

    Let's say I have a first structure like this: typedef struct { int ivalue; char cvalue; } Foo; And a second one: typedef struct { int ivalue; char cvalue; unsigned char some_data_block[0xFF]; } Bar; Now let's say I do the following: Foo *pfoo; Bar *pbar; pbar = new Bar; pfoo = (Foo *)pbar; delete pfoo; Now, when I call the delete operator, how much memory does it free? sizeof(int) + sizeof(char) Or sizeof(int) + sizeof(char) + sizeof(char) * 0xFF ? And if it's the first case due to the casting, is there any way to prevent this memory leak from happening? Note: please don't answer "use C++ polymorphism" or similar, I am using this method for a reason.

  • Caching and accessing configuration data in ASP.NET MVC app.

    I'm about to take a look at how to implement internationalisation for an ASP.NET MVC project. I'm looking at how to allow the user to change languages. My initial though is a dropdownlist containing each of the supported langauages. Whoever a few questions have come to mind: How to store the list of supported languages? (e.g. just "en", "English"; "fr", "French" etc.) An xml file? .config files? If I store this in a file I'll have to cache this (at startup I guess). So, what would be best, load the xml data into a list (somehow) and store this list in the System.Web.Cache? Application State? How then to load this data into the view (for display in a dropdown)? Give the view direct access to the cache? Just want to make sure I'm going in the right direction here... Thank you.

    i plan to use neurodotnet for my phd thesis, but before that i just want to build some small solutions to get used to the dll structure. the first problem that i want to model using backward propagation is height-weight ratio. I have some height and weight data, i want to train my NN so that if i put in some weight then i should get correct height as a output. i have 1 input 1 hidden and 1 output layer. Now here is first of many things i cant get around :) 1. my height data is in form of 1.422, 1.5422 ... etc and the corresponding weight data is 90 95, but the NN takes the input as 0/1 or -1/1 and given the output in the same range. how to address this problem

    I use GNU make, I want my source files and object files to be in different folders. As a first step, I want the source files at the root of my project folder, and the object files in a subfolder (say Debug/). The inference rule would be: .ss.obj: echo Assembling $*.ss... $(ASSEMBLY) $(2210_ASSEMBLY_FLAGS) $*.ss -o Debug\$*.obj but in that case, make rebuilds all files all the time, since there are no .obj in the root folder. Is there a way to include a folder for the target in the line .ss.obj? I also tried: $(OBJS_WITH_PATH):$(SRC) echo Assembling $<... $(ASSEMBLY) $(ASSEMBLY_FLAGS) $< -o $@ with $(SRC) as a list of all my sources, $(OBJS_WITH_PATH) built that way: OBJS_WITH_PATH = $(patsubst %.ss,Debug\\%.obj,$(SRC)) but that builds a dependency on all source files for all object files. What I would like is to modify the inference rule I wrote first, to take Debug/*.obj files. What it says now is no rule to make target Debug/asdfasdf.obj.

  • Grails UrlMappings with .html

    I'm developing a Grails web application (mainly as a learning exercise). I have previously written some standard Grails apps, but in this case I wanted to try creating a controller that would intercept all requests (including static html) of the form: <a href="/testApp/testJsp.jsp">test 1</a> <a href="/testApp/testGsp.gsp">test 2</a> <a href="/testApp/testHtm.htm">test 3</a> <a href="/testApp/testHtml.html">test 4</a> The intent is to do some simple business logic (auditing) each time a user clicks a link. I know I could do this using a Filter (or a range of other methods), however I thought this should work too and wanted to do this using a Grails framework. I set up the Grail UrlMappings.groovy file to map all URLs of that form (/$myPathParam?) to a single controller: class UrlMappings { static mappings = { "/$controller/$action?/$id?"{ constraints { } } "/$path?" (controller: 'auditRecord', action: 'showPage') "500"(view:'/error') } } In that controller (in the appropriate "showPage" action) I've been printing out the path information, for example: def showPage = { println "params.path = " + params.path ... render(view: resultingView) } The results of the println in the showPage action for each of my four links are testJsp.jsp testGsp.gsp testHtm.htm testHtml Why is the last one "testHtml", not "testHtml.html"? In a previous (Stack Overflow query) Olexandr encountered this issue and was advised to simply concatenate the value of request.format - which, indeed, does return "html". However request.format also returns "html" for all four links. I'm interested in gaining an understanding of what Grails is doing and why. Is there some way to configure Grails so the params.path variable in the controller shows "testHtml.html" rather than stripping off the "html" extension? It doesn't seem to remove the extension for any other file type (including .htm). Is there a good reason it's doing this? I know that it is a bit unusual to use a controller for static html, but still would like to understand what's going on.

  • NSFetchedResultsController is driving me crazy

    Hi everyone. i've been building an app since 1 month using NSFetchedResultsController and i was testing the app on the 3.1.2 SDK. The poblem is that i've been using NSFetchedResultsController everywhere in my app and was working on the 3.1.2 version of the SDK, now my client say that i should make it compatible with the 3.0 version and the deadline is almost there. But is crashing everytime i change an object handled by the contoller, the application is crashing with very weird errors. The problem occure when removing the last object in a section and when a change make an object love to another section. I've been using a sample code from "More iPhone 3 Development Tackling iPhone SDK 3" by Dave Mark and Jeff LaMarche. I've also included some changes from link text Here is a sample output of the console when the application is crashing. * Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Invalid update: invalid number of sections.   • Javascript timer in parent window is cancelled on child window close

    I have a user UserControl on a web page. There is a javascript timer started by the control on the client that causes a web service to be called every few seconds. If the user clicks on the control a new browser window is opened (with window.open() ) to show a different page. Note the onclick returns false so there is no postback to the page. The page displayed in the second window also has a timer that operates in the same way as the first (calls a WebService at intervals). Upto this point everything is fine - each of the timers continue to run in their respective window. However, when I close the second window (either by clicking on the cross of the window or by calling self.close() ) the timer in the first stops. I've no idea why. Is there some relationship between the opener and opened window that I'm missing ?

  • ASP.Net Cross Page Posting

    Currently I have two pages: The first page contains an input form, and the 2nd page generates an excel document. The input form's button posts to this 2nd page. What I'd like to do is add a second button which also posts to the 2nd page; however, I'll need requests created from this new button to act differently, which brings me to my question: Is there a way I can tell, from the 2nd page, which button was pressed to submit the request? The main reason I'm asking is I'd like to re-use the 2nd page's logic in parsing the information from the first page if possible; I'd rather not have to copy it to a new page and have the new button post to that.     I'm not sure what the difference between these two pieces of code is (with respect to x), but the first one completes: $ foldr (\x y -> if x == 4 then x else x + y) 0 [1,2 .. ] 10 and the second one doesn't (at least in GHCi): $ foldr (\x (y, n) -> if x == 4 then (x, n) else (x + y, n + 1)) (0, 0) [1,2 .. ] ....... What am I doing wrong that prevents the second example from completing when it hits x == 4, as in the first one? I've tried adding bang-patterns to both the x and to the x == 4 (inside a let) but neither seems to make a difference.

  • problems importing ttk from tkinter in python 2.7

    I'm working with an example file in a tutorial that asks me to first do two imports: from tkinter import * from tkinter import ttk I get an error. I researched a bit and found that in python 2.7.x I need to capitalize the 't'in tkinter, so I change to: from Tkinter import * from Tkinter import ttk. the first line no longer gives and error, but I still get error: ImportError: cannot import name ttk. I have researched this issue on this site and other places, and cannot seem to understand what this ttk is. I'm further confused by the fact that, when I go to the python interpreter, and I type "help()", then "modules", and then "ttk" it seems to know what it is, and gives me a lot of description, for example: "DESCRIPTION This module provides classes to allow using Tk themed widget set." -however, python won't let me import it.
