    A quick question. How many copies of the same movie are kept in a video server (a video streaming server)? Suppose a particular video is at max requested by 1000 users at the same instant of time, how many copies would be sufficient so that parallel streams can be provided to each user? Ideally 1 copy would solve the purpose, but what is the optimum number keeping the bandwidth and simultaneous access in mind?

    Hi, I have an ASP.NET project where I want to keep the membership (SQL Provider) in a separate database and the Roles/Profiles will be per application. Question What is the KEY that relates between the Membership database and the Roles/Profile database? Is it the UserID or UserName? I opened up the tables in separate expolrer and notice the UserID is different in the Membership database from that in the application Roles database.

One solution that might work is to enforce that they only upload pdf files. My question is two fold: Most importantly, is a pdf document virus proof?     I'm attempting to track my dependencies with git-submodules in my rails app. So far I've added submodules for things like, haml, shoulda, authlogic, etc to 'vendor/plugins'. I've seen indications that I should be using 'vendor/gems' instead though. Question, which directory is the appropriate place to put dependencies being tracked as submodules? Is the choice arbitrary? I have a repo in /mnt/apps/repos and I would like to do a hook which will update/export everything to /mnt/apps/dev/repos folder but when running: #/usr/bin/svn update /mnt/apps/dev/repos I am getting error: Skipped '/mnt/webapps/dev/repos' when run #usr/bin/svn export /mnt/apps/dev/repos I am getting: svn: '/mnt/webapps/dev/repos' is not a working copy how to add /mnt/webapps/dev/repos as a working copy for all files from repo DB? please help

    I'm using the Post/Redirect/Get pattern on a form of mine. I've never used this approach before and I'm trying to figure something out: Normally, I always just displayed the posted form again when there were validation errors and displayed POST values in the form (sticky form). However with the PRG pattern, the form is displayed after a redirect, so there aren't any POST values. So my question is, how can I implement the PRG pattern and still have sticky forms?
