    Hi there! I have a question about how Hibernate persists entity relations. Let's say I have an entity A that has a relation with entity B and another one with entity C. I create an A instance and populate it with new instances of B and C. When I persist A I need C to be persisted previous to B. Is there any way of doing this? Thanks a lot.

I've seldom found a reason to use this particular language feature, and had never given much thought to how it might cause trouble. Now, I'm curious as to how I might make effective use of with, while avoiding its pitfalls... So my question is, where have you found the with statement useful?

    I installed Python Mock module using PIP. When I try to import mock running under 'dev_appserver', GAE says that it can't find module 'mock'. import mock works perfectly in Python interpreter. I understand that dev_appserver behaves absolutely correctly because I can't install modules with PIP on GAE servers. My question is how technically dev_appserver filters list of modules that can be loaded?

  • OPS4j repository alternative

    The OPS4J repository is down at present and I am trying to run pax-provision using a profile for spring-dm. My question is how do I tell maven to locate the profile information from a site other than ops4j.org. Is this possible? ideally I would like to cache all the packages from the repo especially the spring-dm details which seem never to be cached and are downloaded all the time making coding on the train and times when the site is down impossible. My question is, why, when the text box is empty, does this return nothing? And how can I make it return everything, like logic tells me it ought to?

  • How to print WPF FlowDocument within local report?

    Hi, in one of our applications we're using alocal RDLC-report (displaying using a ReportViewer control) to print some tables and text entered by the user. We'd like to give the user the ability of formatting the text. I thought I might use the respective WPF controls (embedded into the Windows Forms application) to make things easy. Question is: how do I print the resulting FlowDocument within the local report? Is this possible at all? Thanks for any advice, Thorsten

I wanna have a diagram with the following table Apple 30 40 50 Pears 200 300 400 Bananas 10 20 30 The weird thing, when I try to draw a bar diagram the order of the bars change. So Excel draws me first the Bananas, the the pears and finally the apple bar... Is there anyway to tell Excel 2003 that it keeps the order? Thank you very much

  • Insight into how things get printed onto the screen (cout,printf) and origin of really complex stuff

    I've always wondered this, and still haven't found the answer. Whenever we use "cout" or "printf" how exactly is that printed on the screen?. How does the text come out as it does...(probably quite a vague question here, ill work with whatever you give me.). So basically how are those functions made?..is it assembly?, if so where does that begin?. This brings on more questions like how on earth have they made openGl/directx functions.. break it down people break it down.:)

    I took a class on "Intelligent Decision Making" (which was mostly an Problem Optimization class). In the class we learned about AMPL and how to extend the solvers. I haven't heard much about it lately, nor have I seen job listings for it. My question is: Is AMPL still in use anymore? If so what is it being used for? Yes, I do understand that AMPL can be replaced with Matlab, however AMPL is free and Matlab isn't even close.

    I wrote a blog post a while ago detailing how the availability of both primitive and object-wrapped value types in JavaScript (for things such as Number, String and Boolean) causes trouble, including but not limited to type-casting to a boolean (e.g. object-wrapped NaN, "" and false actually type-cast to true). My question is, with all this confusion and problems, is there any benefit to JavaScript having both types of values for the built-in classes?

    hi everybody, yesterday, I posted a question about "Hom to change a DIV id with a php function" and someone found the right answer with a regular expression. The problem is that I wanted to use this answer to aplly the method on other same problems. But, as I'm very bad at regular expressions, I couldn't.
