• Installing a very old game on Windows 7 64-bit

  I'm trying to install Theme Hospital (awesome game, eh?) on my Windows 7 machine and I'm getting this error: I've tried setting it to run in XP compatability mode but didn't hold out much hope, and as expected I still got this error. Is there a way I can force this application to run in 32-bit or something? Thank you.

  Is there a built-in schema datatype for xhtml data? Suppose I want to specify a "boozle" element that contains two "woozles", each of which is arbitrary xhtml.   Development of the free application Putty Connection Manager that can display more than one Putty sessions stopped in 2009, and it sometimes triggers this error when I double-click on any host in the right hand-side list: PuTTY Connection Manager/An unexpected error occured : Object reference not set to an instance of an object.. When that happens, I have to reboot :-/ Does someone know of an alternative? Thank you.

• Problem getting started with GeoDjango

  As soon as I add "from django.contrib.gis.db import models" instead of "from django.db import models", Django stops recognizing the app and gives this error: Error: App with label location could not be found. Are you sure your INSTALLED_APPS setting is correct? The error goes away as soon as I comment out "from django.contrib.gis.db import models"... I have added "django.contrib.gis" and the "location" app to the INSTALLED_APPS setting correctly. Any clues why this is happening? I am running using Django v1.1.1 final, on my windows laptop.

• Netbeans 6.8 groovy files in src/main/java

  I have a new netbeans maven/groovy project, and I actually prefer to mix my java and groovy files in src/main/java and src/test/java (I find it easier to navigate this way and my pom reflects this configuration). However, when I have my project setup this way in Netbeans 6.8, it always shows the generated-sources folder in error. The stubs generated from groovy files in src/test/java can't be opened by netbeans and given an error that they can't be parsed. However, in windows explorer the files are in tact. Netbeans can run the project but it continues to prompt me that some files are in error (even though I know they're not). It's like netbeans isn't refreshing itself. Any thoughts on how to fix this? thanks, Jeff

  I installed VS 2010 RC yesterday, and suddenly, SQL Server CE isn't loading files from a network share. In projects compiled with VS 2008, if I try to open a SQL CE file located on a network share, I get an error that reads like this: Internal error: Cannot open the shared memory region. If I try to create a data connection in VS 2010 to a SQL CE file on a network share, I get this error: SQL Server Compact does not support opening database files on a network share. Can anyone shed any light on what's going on? Thanks.

  hi, I've a problem to configure database settings in Drupal. I will propose here some sample data: Database Mysql: Database: databaseName User: user Password: password Server: server.com Server Choice: mysqldb2 (in phpmyadmin I have this option and I can choose between mysqldb1 and mysqldb2 to access to the mysql server) The error message I get is: The mysql error was: Access denied for user: 'user@localhost' (Using password: YES). I've tried the following lines in settings.php but I always get the same error message: $db_url = 'mysql://user:password@localhost/databaseName'; $db_url = 'mysql://user:password@localhost/databaseName/mysqldb2'; The user and password work in phpmyadmin so I'm sure they are correct. thanks

• Problem wit MDAC when trying to compile in VS2008 using x64 bit target platform

  I am trying to compile an 32 bit application. I am aware of problems with it but that is why its being compiled on 64 bit version. I am hanging at this problem. Application uses lots of sql stuff. In sqltypes.h file: (provided by MDAC) #ifdef _WIN64 typedef INT64 SQLLEN; typedef UINT64 SQLULEN; typedef UINT64 SQLSETPOSIROW; #else For some reason when its compiled on 32 bit platform it works great But when I try building it on 64 it goes berserk. Error 61 error C2146: syntax error : missing ';' before identifier 'SQLLEN' ..\external\microsoft sdk\include\sqltypes.h 50 It does not recognize INT64, UINT64. Is there something I need to enable so it will work under 64 build process? Missing some #include or #define? Any help would be great Thanks

• Can't connect twice to linked table using ACE/JET driver

  I'm trying to connect to an MS Access database linked table in VBScript. It works fine connecting the first time on one connection but if I close that connection and open a new one in the same script it gives me an error. test.vbs(13, 1) Microsoft Office Access Database Engine: ODBC--connection to '{Oracle in OraClient10g_home1}DB_NAME' failed. This is some code that triggers the error. TABLE_1 is an ODBC linked table in the test.mdb file.   Hello all, I'm new to apple development, For my Uni project I try developing an application for iPhone using PocketSphinx to recognise speech commands... I used the "build_for_iphoneos.sh" script available in PocketSphinx SVN and SphinxBase. Program working without any issues when i try it on simulator, today I try to deploy on device and it's giving me this error? can any one help me solve this please?   Hi, I have some issue to install MySecureShell on CentOS 5.4 because I want to use Yum to install it (for maintainability). I get this error : yum install mysecureshell Error: Missing Dependency: libcrypto.so.10()(64bit) is needed by package mysecureshell-1.20-1.x86_64 (mysecureshell) I assume that the issue is that openSSL shipped with CentOS 5.4 is too old... I don't want to install everything manually so I would like to know if there is an equivalent to MySecureShell which would work with CentOS 5.4. Thanks!

• FileNotFound Exception when using TestDriven.NET and NUnit

  I'm Writing a simple pong game in C# and XNA 4.0 to learn unit testing. The tools used are TestDriven.NET and NUnit, all newest versions. The problem is, if I test the code with VS2010 internal debugger, everything runs fine, but when I use "Run Test(s)" from menu, the application chokes with error: Test 'WindowsGame1.Game1.TestGameMenu' failed: Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Content.ContentLoadException : Error loading "SpaceBackground". File not found. ----> System.IO.FileNotFoundException : Error loading "Content\SpaceBackground.xnb". File not found. (some more below...) So it stops when the first textre is going to be loaded.   I am mounting my remote backup volume using a rsnapshot cmd_preexec script. If the /mnt/backup directory doesn't exist when starting rsnapshot i get this error: ERROR: /mnt/backup does not exist. If the directory exists and the preexec mounting fails, it does not stop rsnapshot resulting in the backup being backed up on the completely wrong server... What should I do about this? Edit: I know that I could use a wrapper-script, but I don't want to do this..

• Replace newline from MySQL TEXT field to parse w/ JSON

  Hi, "replace newline" seems to be a question asked here and there like hundred times already. But however, i haven't found any working solution for myself yet. I have a textarea that i use to save data into DB. Then using AJAX I want to get data from the DB in the backend that is in TEXT field and to pass it to frontend using JSON. But pasing JSON returns an error, as new lines from DB are not valid JSON syntax, I guess i should use \n instead... But how do i replace newlinew from DB with \n? I've tried this $t = str_replace('<br />', '\n', nl2br($t)); and this $t = preg_replace("/\r\n|\n\r|\r|\n/", "\n", $t); and using CHAR(13) and CHAR(10), and still I get an error the new line in textarea is equivalent to, i guess $t = 'text with a newline'; it gives the same error. And in notepad i clearly see that it is crlf

• Using MySQL as data source in Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services

  Hi, I have installed the latest .net connector (http://www.mysql.com/downloads/connector/net/), I can add MySQL databases as Data Sources, I can even browse through the data from Business Intelligence Studio. The problem is that I CANNOT create a datasource view, or if I do create one without tables, trying to add them after the fact gives me the same error. Specifically it looks like the data source view wizard tries to submit queries against the MySQL database using square brackets/braces, and the query bombs. I get an error message like: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '[my_db].[cheatType]' at line 2 So, in summary, has anyone been able to create a data source view using MySQL tables and, if so, can they please show me how this can be done.   I have a custom tag, packaged into a library jar that is included in my web apps war file. I've confirmed that the jar is in the war and that the tag file is in the jar and the that the TLD (in META-INF) expressly defines 'WidgetFactory' Why am I getting this error?

Anyone know? Data is sent to asp.net controller that returns jsonresult (hence the contentType) Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
