  • How can I change column fore color in DataGridview as per condition?

    - by Ashish
    hi, i have one table like employee and one of its row is 'status' if status value is 'approve' then i want to show that row in green color and else i want to show it in red color. i have tried following but not working if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.Header) { string status = DataBinder.Eval(e.Row.DataItem, "IsApprove").ToString(); if (status == "pending") { e.Row.ForeColor = System.Drawing.Color.Red; // Change the row's Text color } } ALSO THIS ONE private void gvleavedetail_cellformatting(object sender, datagridviewcellformattingeventargs e) { // if the column is the artist column, check the // value. if (this.gvleavedetail.columns[e.columnindex].name == "artist") { if (e.value != null) { // check for the string "pink" in the cell. string stringvalue = (string)e.value; stringvalue = stringvalue.tolower(); if (stringvalue == "high") { e.cellstyle.backcolor = color.pink; } } } But in this case i'm getting error for datagridviewcellformattingeventargs I'm using VS2010

  • Problem implementing a UITableView that allows for multiple row selections

    - by wgpubs
    This - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath]; int cardNumber = indexPath.row + 1; if (cell.accessoryType == UITableViewCellAccessoryNone) { cell.accessoryType = UITableViewCellAccessoryCheckmark; if (![self.winningNumbers containsObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:cardNumber]]) [self.winningNumbers addObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:cardNumber]]; } else { cell.accessoryType = UITableViewCellAccessoryNone; if ([self.winningNumbers containsObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:cardNumber]]) [self.winningNumbers removeObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:cardNumber]]; } [tableView deselectRowAtIndexPath:indexPath animated:YES]; } ... modifies the "accessoryType" of every 6th cell INSTEAD of just the selected row.   • Create empty C# event handlers automatically

    - by TomA
    It is not possible to fire an event in C# that has no handlers attached to it. So before each call it is necessary to check if the event is null. if ( MyEvent != null ) { MyEvent( param1, param2 ); } I would like to keep my code as clean as possible and get rid of those null checks. I don't think it will affect performance very much, at least not in my case. MyEvent( param1, param2 ); Right now I solve this by adding an empty inline handler to each event manually. This is error prone, since I need to remember to do that etc. void Initialize() { MyEvent += new MyEvent( (p1,p2) => { } ); } Is there a way to generate empty handlers for all events of a given class automatically using reflection and some CLR magic?

  • Can you call compiled JRuby classes from java?

    - by John Baker
    So I came up with the general idea to write some code in JRuby, then access all the classes via Java. I have no idea if this is at all possible but I wanted to ask anyway. Lets say I have some JRuby code: class adder def addme return 22 end end If I compiled this with jrubyc is there any way I could then possibly do something like this in java: import adder; class anything { void testMethod() { adder a = new adder(); int x = a.addme(); } } After looking at it now it sort of makes me think that Java will have zero idea what sort of item test addme is going to return so that might not work. I don't know but I wanted to throw it out there anyway. Thanks

  • Pushing UIViewController onto a UINavigationController

    - by Gregg
    The other day I asked about using a UINavigationController as a child of a UIViewController. I got that working via the answer. Now what I'm trying to do is push a controller onto the nav stack. When a table cell is touched, I do the following: - (void) showSetup { NSLog(@"Showing Setup"); SetupViewController *controller = [[SetupViewController alloc]initWithNibName:@"SetupViewController" bundle:nil]; self.setupViewController = controller; self.setupViewController.title = @"Setup"; [self.navigationController pushViewController:self.setupViewController animated:YES]; [controller release]; } I can see the log statement in my console, but the view never changes. Am I missing something?

  • C: Reading file with a starting point

    - by Shinka
    A simple question but I can't find the answer in my book. I want to read a binary file to seed a random number generator, but I don't want to seed my generator with the same seed each time I call the function, so I will need to keep a variable for my position in the file (not a problem) and I would need to know how to read a file starting a specific point in the file (no idea how). The code: void rng_init(RNG* rng) { // ... FILE *input = fopen("random.bin", "rb"); unsigned int seed[32]; fread(seed, sizeof(unsigned int), 32, input); // seed 'rng'... fclose(input); }

  • "And" condition in C#/LINQ Query

    - by user1213055
    partial void PrintDocLetter1_CanExecute(ref bool result) { if (this.PatientsMasterItem.DoctorsMasterItem != null) { var Doctor = PatientsMasterItem.DoctorsMasterItem; var PatientList = Doctor.PatientsMasterItem; var Letters = PatientsMasterItem.LettersSentItem; if ((PatientList.Count() > 1) && (Letters.Any(i => i.LetterType == "DoctorLetter1"))) { result = false; } else { result = true; } } } I think something is wrong with my second condition. I'm trying to find two things. 1) Doctors with more than 1 patient. 2) Among those patients whether a lettertype called "DoctorLetter1" has been sent or not. The above code is working good for that particular record but not working other patients with same doctors where patient1 has already been sent with DoctorLetter1.

  • iPhone Application crashing upon loading a new Detail View

    - by Jeb Sears
    Hi, My problem is when trying to load a detail view through a table cell, the application constantly crashes. The error that comes up when running through debug is "__TERMINATING_DUE_TO_UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION___" objc exception thrown. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Here is a screenshot for the debug, I am not sure if I am interpreting it right http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/2143/errorud.png Here is my code where I beleive the error is happening: - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { NSInteger row = [indexPath row]; if(self.moreDetailView == nil){ DetailViewController *dvController = [[DetailViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"DetailViewController" bundle:[NSBundle mainBundle]]; self.moreDetailView = dvController; [dvController release]; } else{} moreDetailView.title = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@", [listOfItems objectAtIndex:row]]; goHerdv2AppDelegate *delegate = [[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; [delegate.detailView pushViewController:moreDetailView animated:YES];}

  • How to crete a Java Iterator that throws IOException

    - by Antonio
    I'd like to implement an iterator that retrieves objects from disk/network. Iterator itr = getRemoteIterator(); while(itr.hasNext()) { Object element = itr.next(); System.out.print(element + " "); } However the problem is that hasNext() and next() methods of the Iterator object does not allow to throw IOException. Is there any other standard interface work around this issue? Desired code is: public interface RemoteIterator<E> { boolean hasNext() throws IOException; E next() throws IOException; void remove(); }

  • Is it possible to add two nodes at a time dynamically to a treeview

    - by Dorababu
    I am having a tree-view on my main form with initially some nodes as follows ACH |-> some.txt |->FileHeader |->BatchHeader Now at this point i will have to add 2 child nodes at a time to BatchHeader. This nodes i will pass as strings from child forms My sample code that i added some nodes is as follows public void loadingDatafrom(string filename, bool str) { if (Append.oldbatchcontrol != filename) { if (tvwACH.SelectedNode.Text == "FileHeader") { tvwACH.SelectedNode.Nodes.Add(filename); } if (tvwACH.SelectedNode.Text == "BatchHeader" && filecontrolvariables.m_gridclick == false) { tvwACH.SelectedNode.Nodes.Add(filename); **I got this idea tvwach.SelectedNode.Lastnode.Nodes.Add("Node");** } } } Can any one give an idea to add 2 nodes as child to the existing node ..

  • Save and Load Data on Today Extensions (iOS 8)

    - by Massimo Piazza
    Is it possible to save and load data on Today Extension using NSUserDefaults? After closing the Notification Center, the widget behaves like an app which is terminated, so any data results lost. How could I solve this issue? This is my code: NSUserDefaults *defaults; - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; defaults = [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]; NSArray *loadStrings = [defaults stringArrayForKey:@"savedStrings"]; if ([loadStrings objectAtIndex:0] != nil) { [display setText:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@", [loadStrings objectAtIndex:0]]]; } if ([loadStrings objectAtIndex:1] != nil) { calculatorMemory = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@", [loadStrings objectAtIndex:1]].doubleValue; } } - (IBAction)saveData:(id)sender { NSString *displayString; NSString *memoryString; NSArray *saveStrings = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects: displayString, memoryString, nil]; defaults = [NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults]; [defaults setObject:saveStrings forKey:@"savedStrings"]; [defaults synchronize]; }

  • Static constructor can run after the non-static constructor. Is this a compiler bug?

    - by Joe H
    The output from the following program is: Non-Static Static Non-Static Is this a compiler bug? I expected: Static Non-Static Non-Static because I thought the static constructor was ALWAYS called before the non-static constructor. I tested this with Visual Studio 2010 using both .net 3.5 and .net 4.0. using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; namespace StaticConstructorBug { class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { var mc = new MyClass(); Console.ReadKey(); } } public class MyClass { public MyClass() { Console.WriteLine("Non-static"); } static MyClass() { Console.WriteLine("Static"); } public static MyClass aVar = new MyClass(); } }

  • Thread Code...anything wrong with this, must use java 1.4

    - by bmw0128
    I have a servlet automatically firing up when the app server starts, and in its init(), I'm making another thread: init(){ new FooThread() } in FooThread(), i want to periodically check the status of a DB value, then depending on the value, make a web service call. When these two tasks complete, I want the thread to sleep to wait a certain period then repeat. This cycle would just continue forever. FooThread: public class FooThread implements Runnable{ Thread t; FooThread(){ t = new Thread(this, "BBSThread"); logger.info("*** about to start " + t.getName()); t.start(); logger.info("*** started: " + t); } public void run() { try{ while(true){ //do the db check, then conditionally do the web services call logger.info("*** calling sleep() ***"); Thread.sleep(50000); logger.info("*** now awake ***"); } } catch (InterruptedException e) { System.out.println("*** FooThread interrupted"); } } }

  • Can a plain servlet be configured as a seam component?

    - by stacker
    I created a plain servlet within a seam-gen (2.1.2) application, now I would like to use injection. Thus I annotated it with @Name and it's recognized as component: INFO [Component] Component: ConfigReport, scope: EVENT, type: JAVA_BEAN, class: com.mycompany.servlet.ConfigReport Unfortunatly the injection of the logger doesn't work NullPointerException in init() import org.jboss.seam.annotations.Logger; import org.jboss.seam.annotations.Name; import org.jboss.seam.log.Log; @Name("ConfigReport") public class ConfigReport extends HttpServlet { @Logger private Log log; public void init(ServletConfig config) throws ServletException { log.info( "BOOM" ); } } Is my approach abusive? What would be the alternatives (the client sending requests to the servlet is curl, not a browser)?

  • Can I extends a sub class of Proxy class?

    - by KCBérenger
    I want to create a complete (and real) 2-dimensional array. In order to use a maximum of Adobe code, I want to use ListCollectionView which can manage sort and filters. But to use a second dimension, I need to override getProperty method, like following code. package { import flash.utils.flash_proxy; import mx.collections.ListCollectionView; public class SubClass extends ListCollectionView /* extends Proxy */ { override flash_proxy function getProperty(name : *) : * { ... } override flash_proxy function setProperty(name : *, value : *) : void { ... } } } This code doesn't work. Flash Builder 4 said to me: 1004 Namespace was not found or is not a compile-time constant. If anyone has a solution or a clue...

  • can the keyword 'this' be used in an abstract class in java

    - by Reddy
    I tried with below example, it is working fine. I expected it to pick sub-class's value since object won't be created for super class (as it is abstract). But it is picking up super class's field value only. Please help me understand what is the concepts behind this? abstract class SuperAbstract { private int a=2; public void funA() { System.out.println("In SuperAbstract: this.a "+a); } } class SubClass extends SuperAbstract { private int a=34; } I am calling new SubClass.funA(); I am expecting it to print 34, but it is printing 2.

  • collapsing a UITableView

    - by Sage Washabaugh
    Hey everyone I made a UITableView in my app and when a cell is touched it expands the problem I am having is it does not collapse no matter what I have tried, I'm sure its something easy i just cant figure it out the only time it does collapse is when it another cell is tapped. Here is my code: -(void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { selectedCellIndexPath = indexPath; [tableView reloadRowsAtIndexPaths:[NSArray arrayWithObject:indexPath] withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationNone]; if (selectedCellIndexPath) { selected = YES; } } -(CGFloat)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView heightForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { if(selectedCellIndexPath != nil && [selectedCellIndexPath compare:indexPath] == NSOrderedSame) return 150; return 44; }

  • Remove successive 0th entries in args[] for a Java command line interface?

    - by Bill IV
    I recall seeing, somewhere, an example that stepped through String args[] by deleting the lowest numbered value(s) public static void main( String args[]) { while (args.length > 0 ) { // do something and obliterate elements from args[] } } Obviously, a variable tracking current position in args and compared to args.length will do it; or an ArrayList made from args[]'s contents, with argsAL.size(). Am I mis-remembering an ArrayList example? I know this is a borderline question, the likely answer is, "No, there isn't and there shouldn't be either!". Maybe I'm over-focused... Bill

  • How to test that action uses argument?

    - by Caster Troy
    I am supposed to be using test-driven development but in this particular case, as I am having trouble, I implemented the action method first. It looks like this: public ViewResult Index(int pageNumber = 1) { var posts = repository.All(); var model = new PagedList<Post>(posts, pageNumber, PageSize); return View(model); } Both the repository and the PagedList<> have been tested already. Now I want to verify that when the action is given a page number that the page number is actually considered. private Mock<IPostsRepository> repository; private HomeController controller; [Test] public void Index_Doohickey() { var actual = controller.Index(2); // .. How do I test that the controller actually uses the page number here? }

  • Design pattern: Polymorphism for list of objects

    - by ziang
    Suppose I have a class A, and A1, A2 inherits from A. There are 2 functions: List<A1> getListA1(){...} List<A2> getListA2(){...} Now I want to do something similar to both A1 and A2 in another function public void process(List<A>){...} If I want to pass the instance of either ListA1 or ListA2, of course the types doesn't match because the compiler doesn't allow the coercion from List< A1 to List< A. I can't do something like this: List<A1> listA1 = getListA1(); List<A> newList = (List<A>)listA1; //this is not allowed. So what is the best approach to the process()? Is there any way to do it in a universal way rather than write the similar code to both List and List?

  • Receiving an Expectedmessage differs error

    - by Mark
    I am quite new to TDD and am going with NUnit and Moq. I have got a method where I expect an exception, so I wanted to play a little with the frameworks features. My test code looks as follows: [Test] [ExpectedException(ExpectedException = typeof(MockException), ExpectedMessage = "Actual differs from expected")] public void Write_MessageLogWithCategoryInfoFail() { string message = "Info Test Message"; Write_MessageLogWithCategory(message, "Info"); _LogTest.Verify(writeMessage => writeMessage.Info("This should fail"), "Actual differs from expected" ); } But I always receive the errormessage that the error message that the actual exception message differs from the expected message. What am I doing wrong?

  • Generically creating objects in C#

    - by DrLazer
    What I am trying to do is load in objects from an XML save file. The problem is those objects are configurable by the user at runtime, meaning i had to use reflection to get the names and attributes of those objects stored in an XML file. I am in the middle of a recursive loop through the XML and up to the part where I need to create an object then thought ..... ah - no idea how to do that :( I have an array stuffed with empty objects (m_MenuDataTypes), one of each possible type. My recursive loading function looks like this private void LoadMenuData(XmlNode menuDataNode) { foreach (object menuDataObject in m_MenuDataTypes) { Type menuDataObjectType = menuDataObject.GetType(); if (menuDataObjectType.Name == menuDataNode.Name) { //create object } } } I need to put some code where my comment is but I can't have a big switch statement or anything. The objects in my array can change depending on how the user has configured the app.
