  • Should java try blocks be scoped as tightly as possible?

    - by isme
    I've been told that there is some overhead in using the Java try-catch mechanism. So, while it is necessary to put methods that throw checked exception within a try block to handle the possible exception, it is good practice performance-wise to limit the size of the try block to contain only those operations that could throw exceptions. I'm not so sure that this is a sensible conclusion. Consider the two implementations below of a function that processes a specified text file. Even if it is true that the first one incurs some unnecessary overhead, I find it much easier to follow. It is less clear where exactly the exceptions come from just from looking at statements, but the comments clearly show which statements are responsible. The second one is much longer and complicated than the first. In particular, the nice line-reading idiom of the first has to be mangled to fit the readLine call into a try block. What is the best practice for handling exceptions in a funcion where multiple exceptions could be thrown in its definition? This one contains all the processing code within the try block: void processFile(File f) { try { // construction of FileReader can throw FileNotFoundException BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(f)); // call of readLine can throw IOException String line; while ((line = in.readLine()) != null) { process(line); } } catch (FileNotFoundException ex) { handle(ex); } catch (IOException ex) { handle(ex); } } This one contains only the methods that throw exceptions within try blocks: void processFile(File f) { FileReader reader; try { reader = new FileReader(f); } catch (FileNotFoundException ex) { handle(ex); return; } BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(reader); String line; while (true) { try { line = in.readLine(); } catch (IOException ex) { handle(ex); break; } if (line == null) { break; } process(line); } }

  • Problem when get pageContent of URL in java ?

    - by tiendv
Hi all ! i have a code for get pagecontent from a URL here is code ! import java.io.BufferedReader; import java.io.IOException; import java.io.InputStreamReader; import java.net.URL; import java.net.URLConnection; public class GetPageFromURLAction extends Thread { public String stringPageContent; public String targerURL; public String getPageContent(String targetURL) throws IOException { String returnString=""; URL urlString = new URL(targetURL); URLConnection openConnection = urlString.openConnection(); String temp; BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(openConnection.getInputStream())); while ((temp = in.readLine()) != null) { returnString += temp + "\n"; } in.close(); // String nohtml = sb.toString().replaceAll("\\<.*?>",""); return returnString; } public String getStringPageContent() { return stringPageContent; } public void setStringPageContent(String stringPageContent) { this.stringPageContent = stringPageContent; } public String getTargerURL() { return targerURL; } public void setTargerURL(String targerURL) { this.targerURL = targerURL; } @Override public void run() { try { this.stringPageContent=this.getPageContent(targerURL); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } } The problem is : 1 Some time i receive a error lik 405 ,or 403 HTTP error ... and result string is null . To repair i check permission to connect URL but it usualy return null URLConnection openConnection = urlString.openConnection(); openConnection.getPermission( ) is mean that i don't have permission to acess link ? To get resultString without HTML Tag ? i do like that String nohtml = sb.toString().replaceAll("\<.*?",""); Para sb is Stringbulder , but it can't remove all HTML Tab in string return ? I use thread here because i must get page alot of url , so how can i cread a multi thread to impro speed of program ! Thanks

  • Android: Resolution issue while saving image into gallery

    - by Luca D'Amico
I've managed to programmatically take a photo from the camera, then display it on an imageview, and then after pressing a button, saving it on the Gallery. It works, but the problem is that the saved photo are low resolution.. WHY?! I took the photo with this code: Intent cameraIntent = new Intent(android.provider.MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE); startActivityForResult(cameraIntent, CAMERA_PIC_REQUEST); Then I save the photo on a var using : protected void onActivityResult(int requestCode, int resultCode, Intent data) { if (requestCode == CAMERA_PIC_REQUEST) { thumbnail = (Bitmap) data.getExtras().get("data"); } } and then after displaying it on an imageview, I save it on the gallery with this function: public void SavePicToGallery(Bitmap picToSave, File savePath){ String JPEG_FILE_PREFIX= "PIC"; String JPEG_FILE_SUFFIX= ".JPG"; String timeStamp = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyyMMdd_HHmmss").format(new Date()); String imageFileName = JPEG_FILE_PREFIX + timeStamp + "_"; File filePath = null; try { filePath = File.createTempFile(imageFileName, JPEG_FILE_SUFFIX, savePath); } catch (IOException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } FileOutputStream out = null; try { out = new FileOutputStream(filePath); } catch (FileNotFoundException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } picToSave.compress(CompressFormat.JPEG, 100, out); try { out.flush(); } catch (IOException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } try { out.close(); } catch (IOException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } //Add the pic to Android Gallery String mCurrentPhotoPath = filePath.getAbsolutePath(); MediaScannerConnection.scanFile(this, new String[] { mCurrentPhotoPath }, null, new MediaScannerConnection.OnScanCompletedListener() { public void onScanCompleted(String path, Uri uri) { } }); } I really can't figure out why it lose so much quality while saved.. Any help please ? Thanks..

Should I be defining an entire object for the Json return? That seems excessive, given that all I want to do is get one value. For reference: the returned JSON structure.

  • java.awt.Desktop.open doesn’t work with PDF files?

    - by Jason S
It looks like I cannot use Desktop.open() on PDF files regardless of location. Here's a small test program: package com.example.bugs; import java.awt.Desktop; import java.io.File; import java.io.IOException; public class DesktopOpenBug { static public void main(String[] args) { try { Desktop desktop = null; // Before more Desktop API is used, first check // whether the API is supported by this particular // virtual machine (VM) on this particular host. if (Desktop.isDesktopSupported()) { desktop = Desktop.getDesktop(); for (String path : args) { File file = new File(path); System.out.println("Opening "+file); desktop.open(file); } } } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } } If I run DesktopOpenBug with arguments c:\tmp\zz1.txt c:\tmp\zz.xml c:\tmp\ss.pdf (3 files I happen to have lying around) I get this result: (the .txt and .xml files open up fine) Opening c:\tmp\zz1.txt Opening c:\tmp\zz.xml Opening c:\tmp\ss.pdf java.io.IOException: Failed to open file:/c:/tmp/ss.pdf. Error message: The parameter is incorrect. at sun.awt.windows.WDesktopPeer.ShellExecute(Unknown Source) at sun.awt.windows.WDesktopPeer.open(Unknown Source) at java.awt.Desktop.open(Unknown Source) at com.example.bugs.DesktopOpenBug.main(DesktopOpenBug.java:21) What the heck is going on? I'm running WinXP, I can type "c:\tmp\ss.pdf" at the command prompt and it opens up just fine. edit: if this is an example of Sun Java bug #6764271 please help by voting for it. What a pain. :(

  • Android while getting HTTP response to file how to know it wasn't fully loaded?

    - by Stan
I'm using this approach to store a big-sized response from server to parse it later: final HttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient(new BasicHttpParams()); final HttpGet mHttpGetRequest = new HttpGet(strUrl); mHttpGetRequest.setHeader("Content-Type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"); FileOutputStream fos = null; try { final HttpResponse response = client.execute(mHttpGetRequest); final StatusLine statusLine = response.getStatusLine(); lastHttpErrorCode = statusLine.getStatusCode(); lastHttpErrorMsg = statusLine.getReasonPhrase(); if (lastHttpErrorCode == 200) { HttpEntity entity = response.getEntity(); fos = new FileOutputStream(reponseFile); entity.writeTo(fos); entity.consumeContent(); fos.flush(); } } catch (ClientProtocolException e) { e.printStackTrace(); lastHttpErrorMsg = e.toString(); return null; } catch (final ParseException e) { e.printStackTrace(); lastHttpErrorMsg = e.toString(); return null; } catch (final UnknownHostException e) { e.printStackTrace(); lastHttpErrorMsg = e.toString(); return null; } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); lastHttpErrorMsg = e.toString(); } finally{ if (fos!=null) try{ fos.close(); } catch (IOException e){} } now how could I ensure the response was completely received and thus saved to file? Assume client's device lost Internet connection while this code was running. So the app received only some part of real response. And I'm pretty sure it happens cuz I got parsing exceptions like "tag not closed", "unexpected end of file" etc. So I need to detect somehow this situation to prevent code from parsing partial response but can't see how. Is it possible at all and how to do it? Or has it has to raise IOException in such cases?

  • Java redirected system output to jtext area, doesnt update until calculation is finished

    - by user1806716
I have code that redirects system output to a jtext area, but that jtextarea doesnt update until the code is finished running. How do I modify the code to make the jtextarea update in real time during runtime? private void updateTextArea(final String text) { SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() { public void run() { consoleTextAreaInner.append(text); } }); } private void redirectSystemStreams() { OutputStream out = new OutputStream() { @Override public void write(int b) throws IOException { updateTextArea(String.valueOf((char) b)); } @Override public void write(byte[] b, int off, int len) throws IOException { updateTextArea(new String(b, off, len)); } @Override public void write(byte[] b) throws IOException { write(b, 0, b.length); } }; System.setOut(new PrintStream(out, true)); System.setErr(new PrintStream(out, true)); } The rest of the code is mainly just an actionlistener for a button: private void updateButtonActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) { // TODO add your handling code here: String shopRoot = this.shopRootDirTxtField.getText(); String updZipPath = this.updateZipTextField.getText(); this.mainUpdater = new ShopUpdater(new File(shopRoot), updZipPath); this.mainUpdater.update(); } That update() method begins the process of copying+pasting files on the file system and during that process uses system.out.println to provide an up-to-date status on where the program is currently at in reference to how many more files it has to copy.

  • Compilation of Etherpad fails in an OpenVZ VE

    - by ulf
Hi everyone. I’m almost giving up, this will be my last try: I try to compile Etherpad on my OpenVZ server. It’s running a Debian 5.0 as the host system, in the VE I’ve got Ubuntu 10.04. I installed Etherpad in this VE with the instructions from the official Ubuntu Wiki: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Etherpad. Everything runs fine until it comes to compilation. After calling bin/build.sh as described in the wiki the first steps are running fine. But then I’m running into a memory error: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "cp": java.io.IOException: error=12, Cannot allocate memory Well, I understand the error message but don’t see the cause. The command free tells me that there’s plenty memory left in this VE: total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 2415236 1140872 1274364 0 0 0 -/+ buffers/cache: 1140872 1274364 Swap: 0 0 0 Beautiful. But even repeating the compilation process doesn’t bring me any further. Any help would be appreciated.

    - by sonu thomas
    hi.. I was trying to run a java class file using java code.The aim was to direct the executing sequence of the terminal of fedora 10 into a frame with a textpane. My code is: import java.io.DataInputStream; import java.io.IOException; import javax.swing.JDialog; import javax.swing.JFrame; import javax.swing.JOptionPane; import javax.swing.JPanel; import javax.swing.JTextArea; import javax.swing.JTextPane; //import sun.reflect.ReflectionFactory.GetReflectionFactoryAction; public class file { /** * @param args */ /** * @param args * @throws IOException */ public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException{ // TODO Auto-generated method stub JDialog jj = new JDialog(); jj.setTitle("helllo"); String sssub1,sssub2,sssub3; String ss="C:/Users/sonu/Desktop/ourIDE/src/src/nn.java"; JPanel n = new JPanel(); jj.setContentPane(n); JTextPane tpn2=new JTextPane(); jj.getContentPane().add(tpn2); jj.setVisible(true); Runtime runtime; Process process; if(ss.indexOf(" ")==-1) { try { runtime= Runtime.getRuntime(); sssub1="/home/ss/Desktop/src/"; sssub2="nn"; process=runtime.exec("sh jrun.sh "+sssub1+" "+sssub2); DataInputStream data=new DataInputStream(process.getInputStream()); DataInputStream data_data=new DataInputStream(process.getErrorStream()); String s="",t=""; int ch; while((ch=data.read())!=-1){ s=s+(char)ch; } data.close(); while((ch=data_data.read())!=-1){ t=t+(char)ch; } data_data.close(); if(t.equals("")) { s+="\nNormal Termination."; tpn2.setText(s); } else tpn2.setText(t); }catch(Exception e){ System.out.println("Error executing file==>"+e);} } } } The content of **jrun.sh** is cd $1 java $2 When the content of **nn.java** was this: import java.io.*; class nn { public static void main(String[] ar)throws IOException { int i=90; BufferedReader dt = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in)); System.out.println("Enter"); //i=Integer.parseInt(dt.readLine()); line--notable System.out.println("i="+i); } } It worked smoothly But when I remove the comment on line--notable,it gave me Textpane with no content. The problem is : I cant read an input from nn.java Kindly give me a solution... If i am able to: get the terminal pop up with executing the nn.class,and i am able to enter the input,then it will do... Thanks in advance...

  • Android: HttpURLConnection not working properly

    - by giorgiline
I'm trying to get the cookies from a website after sending user credentials through a POST Request an it seems that it doesn't work in android this way. ¿Am I doing something bad?. Please help. I've searched here in different posts but there's no useful answer. It's curious that this run in a desktop Java implementation it works perfect but it crashes in Android platform. And it is exactly the same code, specifically when calling HttpURLConnection.getHeaderFields(), it also happens with other member methods. It's a simple code and I don't know why the hell isn't working. DESKTOP CODE: This goes just in the main() HttpURLConnection connection = null; OutputStream out = null; try { URL url = new URL("http://www.XXXXXXXX.php"); String charset = "UTF-8"; String postback = "1"; String user = "XXXXXXXXX"; String password = "XXXXXXXX"; String rememberme = "on"; String query = String.format("postback=%s&user=%s&password=%s&rememberme=%s" , URLEncoder.encode(postback, charset) , URLEncoder.encode(user, charset) , URLEncoder.encode(password, charset) , URLEncoder.encode(rememberme, charset)); connection = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection(); connection.setRequestMethod("POST"); connection.setRequestProperty("Accept-Charset", charset); connection.setDoOutput(true); connection.setFixedLengthStreamingMode(query.length()); out = connection.getOutputStream (); out.write(query.getBytes(charset)); if (connection.getHeaderFields() == null){ System.out.println("Header null"); }else{ for (String cookie: connection.getHeaderFields().get("Set-Cookie")){ System.out.println(cookie.split(";", 2)[0]); } } } catch (IOException e){ e.printStackTrace(); } finally { try { out.close();} catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace();} connection.disconnect(); } So the output is: login_key=20ad8177db4eca3f057c14a64bafc2c9 FASID=cabf20cc471fcacacdc7dc7e83768880 track=30c8183e4ebbe8b3a57b583166326c77 client-data=%7B%22ism%22%3Afalse%2C%22showm%22%3Afalse%2C%22ts%22%3A1349189669%7D ANDROID CODE: This goes inside doInBackground AsyncTask body HttpURLConnection connection = null; OutputStream out = null; try { URL url = new URL("http://www.XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.php"); String charset = "UTF-8"; String postback = "1"; String user = "XXXXXXXXX"; String password = "XXXXXXXX"; String rememberme = "on"; String query = String.format("postback=%s&user=%s&password=%s&rememberme=%s" , URLEncoder.encode(postback, charset) , URLEncoder.encode(user, charset) , URLEncoder.encode(password, charset) , URLEncoder.encode(rememberme, charset)); connection = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection(); connection.setRequestMethod("POST"); connection.setRequestProperty("Accept-Charset", charset); connection.setDoOutput(true); connection.setFixedLengthStreamingMode(query.length()); out = connection.getOutputStream (); out.write(query.getBytes(charset)); if (connection.getHeaderFields() == null){ Log.v(TAG, "Header null"); }else{ for (String cookie: connection.getHeaderFields().get("Set-Cookie")){ Log.v(TAG, cookie.split(";", 2)[0]); } } } catch (IOException e){ e.printStackTrace(); } finally { try { out.close();} catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace();} connection.disconnect(); } And here there is no output, it seems that connection.getHeaderFields() doesn't return result. It takes al least 30 seconds to show the Log: 10-02 16:56:25.918: V/class com.giorgi.myproject.activities.HomeActivity(2596): Header null

  • Read files from directory to create a ZIP hadoop

    - by Félix
I'm looking for hadoop examples, something more complex than the wordcount example. What I want to do It's read the files in a directory in hadoop and get a zip, so I have thought to collect al the files in the map class and create the zip file in the reduce class. Can anyone give me a link to a tutorial or example than can help me to built it? I don't want anyone to do this for me, i'm asking for a link with better examples than the wordaccount. • CLR 4.0: Corrupted State Exceptions

    - by Scott Dorman
Corrupted state exceptions are designed to help you have fewer bugs in your code by making it harder to make common mistakes around exception handling. A very common pattern is code like this: public void FileSave(String name) { try { FileStream fs = new FileStream(name, FileMode.Create); } catch (Exception e) { MessageBox.Show("File Open Error"); throw new Exception(IOException); } The standard recommendation is not to catch System.Exception but rather catch the more specific exceptions (in this case, IOException). While this is a somewhat contrived example, what would happen if Exception were really an AccessViolationException or some other exception indicating that the process state has been corrupted? What you really want to do is get out fast before persistent data is corrupted or more work is lost. To help solve this problem and minimize the chance that you will catch exceptions like this, CLR 4.0 introduces Corrupted State Exceptions, which cannot be caught by normal catch statements. There are still places where you do want to catch these types of exceptions, particularly in your application’s “main” function or when you are loading add-ins.  There are also rare circumstances when you know code that throws an exception isn’t dangerous, such as when calling native code. In order to support these scenarios, a new HandleProcessCorruptedStateExceptions attribute has been added. This attribute is added to the function that catches these exceptions. There is also a process wide compatibility switch named legacyCorruptedStateExceptionsPolicy which when set to true will cause the code to operate under the older exception handling behavior. • How to void checked exceptions in Java?

    - by deamon
I consider checked exception for a design mistake in the Java language. They lead to leaky abstractions and a lot of clutter in the code. It seems that they force the programmer to handle exceptions early although they are in most cases better handled lately. So my question is how to avoid checked exception? My idea is to execute the actual code inside an exception translator using lambda expressions. Example: ExceptionConverter.convertToRuntimeException(() => { // do things that could throw checked exceptions here }); If for example a IOException occurs it gets rethrown as an exception with the same name but from a different class hierarchy (based on RuntimeException). This approach would effectivly remove the need to handle or declare checked exceptions. Exceptions could then be handled where and if it makes sense. Another solution would be to declare IOException throws Exception on each method. What do you think which solution is better? Do you know any better approach to avoid (suppress) checked exceptions in Java?

  • Embedded Tomcat Cluster

    - by ThreaT
Can someone please explain with an example how an Embedded Tomcat Cluster works. Would a load balancer be necessary? Since we're using embedded tomcat, how would two separate jar files (each a standalone web application with their own embedded tomcat instance) know where eachother are and let eachother know their status, etc? Here is the code I have so far which is just a regular embedded tomcat without any clustering: import javax.servlet.ServletException; import javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet; import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest; import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse; import java.io.File; import java.io.IOException; import java.io.Writer; public class Main { public static void main(String[] args) throws LifecycleException, InterruptedException, ServletException { Tomcat tomcat = new Tomcat(); tomcat.setPort(8080); Context ctx = tomcat.addContext("/", new File(".").getAbsolutePath()); Tomcat.addServlet(ctx, "hello", new HttpServlet() { protected void service(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse resp) throws ServletException, IOException { Writer w = resp.getWriter(); w.write("Hello, World!"); w.flush(); } }); ctx.addServletMapping("/*", "hello"); tomcat.start(); tomcat.getServer().await(); } } Source: java dzone

  • NullPointerException, Collections not storing data?

    - by Elliott
Hi there, I posted this question earlier but not with the code in its entirety. The coe below also calls to other classes Background and Hydro which I have included at the bottom. I have a Nullpointerexception at the line indicate by asterisks. Which would suggest to me that the Collections are not storing data properly. Although when I check their size they seem correct. Thanks in advance. PS: If anyone would like to give me advice on how best to format my code to make it readable, it would be appreciated. • spliiting code in java-don't know what's wrong [closed]

    - by ???? ?????
I'm writing a code to split a file into many files with a size specified in the code, and then it will join these parts later. The problem is with the joining code, it doesn't work and I can't figure what is wrong! This is my code: import java.io.*; import java.util.*; public class StupidSplit { static final int Chunk_Size = 10; static int size =0; public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException { String file = "b.txt"; int chunks = DivideFile(file); System.out.print((new File(file)).delete()); System.out.print(JoinFile(file, chunks)); } static boolean JoinFile(String fname, int nChunks) { /* * Joins the chunks together. Chunks have been divided using DivideFile * function so the last part of filename will ".partxxxx" Checks if all * parts are together by matching number of chunks found against * "nChunks", then joins the file otherwise throws an error. */ boolean successful = false; File currentDirectory = new File(System.getProperty("user.dir")); // File[] fileList = currentDirectory.listFiles(); /* populate only the files having extension like "partxxxx" */ List<File> lst = new ArrayList<File>(); // Arrays.sort(fileList); for (File file : fileList) { if (file.isFile()) { String fnm = file.getName(); int lastDot = fnm.lastIndexOf('.'); // add to list which match the name given by "fname" and have //"partxxxx" as extension" if (fnm.substring(0, lastDot).equalsIgnoreCase(fname) && (fnm.substring(lastDot + 1)).substring(0, 4).equals("part")) { lst.add(file); } } } /* * sort the list - it will be sorted by extension only because we have * ensured that list only contains those files that have "fname" and * "part" */ File[] files = (File[]) lst.toArray(new File[0]); Arrays.sort(files); System.out.println("size ="+files.length); System.out.println("hello"); /* Ensure that number of chunks match the length of array */ if (files.length == nChunks-1) { File ofile = new File(fname); FileOutputStream fos; FileInputStream fis; byte[] fileBytes; int bytesRead = 0; try { fos = new FileOutputStream(ofile, true); for (File file : files) { fis = new FileInputStream(file); fileBytes = new byte[(int) file.length()]; bytesRead = fis.read(fileBytes, 0, (int) file.length()); assert(bytesRead == fileBytes.length); assert(bytesRead == (int) file.length()); fos.write(fileBytes); fos.flush(); fileBytes = null; fis.close(); fis = null; } fos.close(); fos = null; } catch (FileNotFoundException fnfe) { System.out.println("Could not find file"); successful = false; return successful; } catch (IOException ioe) { System.out.println("Cannot write to disk"); successful = false; return successful; } /* ensure size of file matches the size given by server */ successful = (ofile.length() == StupidSplit.size) ? true : false; } else { successful = false; } return successful; } static int DivideFile(String fname) { File ifile = new File(fname); FileInputStream fis; String newName; FileOutputStream chunk; //int fileSize = (int) ifile.length(); double fileSize = (double) ifile.length(); //int nChunks = 0, read = 0, readLength = Chunk_Size; int nChunks = 0, read = 0, readLength = Chunk_Size; byte[] byteChunk; try { fis = new FileInputStream(ifile); StupidSplit.size = (int)ifile.length(); while (fileSize > 0) { if (fileSize <= Chunk_Size) { readLength = (int) fileSize; } byteChunk = new byte[readLength]; read = fis.read(byteChunk, 0, readLength); fileSize -= read; assert(read==byteChunk.length); nChunks++; //newName = fname + ".part" + Integer.toString(nChunks - 1); newName = String.format("%s.part%09d", fname, nChunks - 1); chunk = new FileOutputStream(new File(newName)); chunk.write(byteChunk); chunk.flush(); chunk.close(); byteChunk = null; chunk = null; } fis.close(); System.out.println(nChunks); // fis = null; } catch (FileNotFoundException fnfe) { System.out.println("Could not find the given file"); System.exit(-1); } catch (IOException ioe) { System.out .println("Error while creating file chunks. • How to prevent Android bluetooth RFCOMM connection from dying immediately after .connect()?

I'm trying to connect to a Zeemote (http://zeemote.com/) gaming controller from Moto Droid running 2.0.1 firmware. The test application below does connect to the device (LED flashes) but connection is dropped immediately after that. I can connect to the device perfectly fine using bluez tools (log attached as well).
