  • sd card folder is not being created in DDMS

    hi everyone , I am new to android. I intend to make video player which can play video from file as well as web URL. But the problem is that when my emulator runs , a sd card folder should be created in "File Explorer" tab of DDMS perspective in eclipse , which is not happening . That's why I am unable to push any file in the sd card and hence video is not being played.   • Unable to connect Third monitor to my workstation

    I have Dell Optiplex 960 with ATI Radeon HD 3470 graphics card, which allowed me to hook two monitors to it. However there is still VGA port on mother board is unused. I tried plugging another monitor, surprisingly my third monitor doesn't directed. Can any one give me a hint how to fix this problem?

  • Amarok on Ubuntu 9.10 rapidly skipping tracks

    Hello all. Subject really says it all. When I try to click on any track, Amarok rapidly moves through the playlist, pulling external information (wikipedia etc) for each song, but not playing it. I feel like it might be a problem with my sound card or driver or something, but all other media players work fine. I can play sounds from within Amarok when I test different sound devices (they all play). I removed the program and re-installed it and still no luck. Any ideas?

  • How to stop switchable graphics from switching to high-power GPU when charging the laptop?

    I've an Acer laptop with Windows 7 64 bit and an ATI Radeon HD 6550M Graphics card. Whenever I connect the power to charge the battery it automatically switches to the high-power GPU (ATI) instead of the low-power (Intel) GPU. There's an option in the bios to stop such thing but it makes the GPU runs always on high-power and I can't switch to the low-power GPU. How can I prevent the switchable graphics from automatically using the high-power GPU when charging?

I need to give users the ability to pick a business card template and then update the text with their own information. Then I need to create a PDF proof for the user to sign off on, as well as create a hi-rez pdf for print. Can anyone point me in the right direction?     How to get the contents of the wav file into array so as to cut the required segment and convert it back to wav format using python?? My prob is similar to "ROMANs" prob,i hav seen earlier in the post at this site.. Basically,i want to combine parts of different wav file into one wav file?? if there is ne other apporach thn takin the contents into an array and cuting part and combining and again converting bac? please suggest... edited: I prefer unpacking the contents of the wave file into an array and editing by cutting the required segment of sound from the wav file,as i am working on speech processing,and guess this way would be easy to enchance the quality of sound later... can ne one suggest a way for this??     I am worried about my account expiry date. I created an account on AWS in July 2013 and submitted my credit card details on 31st Oct 2013. I went in Billing Management Console/Bills section where when I click on Date, I can see months ranging from July 2013 to Nov 2013. From AWS FAQs I gathered When does the AWS free usage tier expire? The AWS free usage tier will expire 12 months from the date you sign up. So WHEN will my account expire, July 2014 (sign up date) or Oct 2014 (credit card details submission date) ?

  • Weird graphics behaviour while playing games

    When I play any high-end game like NFS Most Wanted or FIFA 12, I get these weird things on my graphics. While playing NFS, my car has various transparent diamonds all over its body, and while playing FIFA I get these weird black lines all over the field. My PC specs are :- AMD Athlon II X2 ASUS M4A785D-M PRO 500GB Seagate HDD 2GB DDR2 Transcend RAM 1033Mhz ATI Radeon HD4350 512MB graphics card Tell me if I need to provide anything else.     Guys, I am trying to write a class in C# that can be used as a direct replacement for the C# Bitmap class. What I want to do instead though is perform all graphic functions done on the bitmap using the power of the video card. From what I understand, functions such as DrawLine or DrawArc or DrawText are primitive functions that use simple cpu math algorithms to perform the job. I, instead, want to use the graphics card cpu and memory to do these and other advanced functions, such as skinning a bitmap (applying a texture) and true transparancy. My problem is, in C#, how do I access direct video functions? Is there a library or something I need?

  • Problems with IRQs when connecting two digium card in and asterisk box

    I have two Digium Wildcard TDM800P with 8 FXO ports each. When I connect both at the same time IRQ misses start showing up making my computer unresponsive and unusable. One card works fine but I need all 16 FXO ports to work to receive calls from my Telco. Is there a way for the cards to communicate with each other so they don't generate as many interrupts. Or a way to tweak Linux to dedicate separate IRQ's for each card. I have tried disabling Audio, ACPI and USB ports. Still too many IRQ misses.

    My android app requires that the device has an SDcard and that SDcard is mountable on a PC or MAC as a FileSystem (removable disk) . It is because there is a program for windows which my mobile app writes to sd card which user has to run from his PC and that program works on files on that Mounted SD card and disks on PC from windows. This was a problem on most the Tablets because not all of them can mount their SDcard as removable disk on PC without requiring special drivers on PC for that tablet. But for majority of ICS phones the PC seems to mount the disk as removable storage so I would like to limit my app for the API 8 - API15 (Phones only) Is there a way to specify in the manifest of an android app that the app should work with an ICS android phone and not the ICS tablets so that users having tablets can not download it from android market ?     What, in your opinion, is the best API to utilize in developing an application that handles both realtime MIDI and audio input and output? This would be for an application that is used in the process of making music as opposed to playing audio or MIDI files. I'm aware that this may be a subjective question, but if you know of an API that is dominantly used for these purposes, please share it. I'm agnostic about which language the API is for, and I also don't care about portability. The real concern is for an API that is well documented, well designed (e.g. thought out and intuitive to developers using it), and actively maintained. OS portability would be nice, but it is second to having an API/Language that meets the previous requirements. Please note that the emphasis is not on API's for sound synthesis or for composing music with code. It is intended for the handling of sound file and MIDI data in a real-time context.

    For my application, I need to have Skype working on my Amazon EC2 Windows instance. I got the application installed and am able to log in, however, I can't make a phone call, since I am getting an 'Can't detect your sound card' error. Since I'm trying to inject audio from an audio file into the phone call, I don't need the sound card on the server. Thus, I need a way to bypass this error message. I have tried installing Virtual Audio Cable, which unfortunately didn't work (even though it worked on my desktop machine).

    I need to convert a credit card expire field from MMYY to a date field I can use in a MS SQL query so I can compute when credit cards are expiring in the future. Basically, I need to go from MMYY to MM/DD/YYYY, where the day part could just be '01' (the first of the month). I'm looking for credit cards that are expiring next month from a database. The problem I'm running into is when next month is the first month of the next year.     Environment : Win-Vista 64 BIT Graphics Processor / Vendor NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS Video Memory 256 MB Total Available Graphics Memory 1535 MB What happens is, i can use the laptop in "basic theme" ONLY, the moment i enable any aero theme, the screen tears up, discoloration appears & then laptop freezes. Sometimes its reboot itself with Blue Screen shows up the gfx card error. Any way around, highly appreciated.

    I've got a Visual C++/CLI app which uses beeps to signify good and bad results (used when the user can't see the screen). Currently I use low pitched beeps for bad results and high pitched beeps for good results: if( goodResult == true ) { Beep(1000, 40); } else { Beep(2000, 20); } This works okay on my Vista laptop, but I've tried it on other laptops and some seem to play the sounds for less time (they sound more like clicks than beeps) or the sound doesn't play at all. So I have two questions here: Is there a more reliable beep function? Is there a (simple) way I can play a short .wav file or something similar instead (preferred solution).

    Hello, I've just bought a Samsung XL2370 with a native resolution of 1920x1080. Should a Radeon X1300 be capable of shifting around windows on a screen that size? Because maximising and minimising windows, scrolling in Firefox and VS2008 seems very slow and jerky. Does the Radeon X1300 have any hardware accelearation? My old display was only 1028x768 and I never noticed any problems. Maybe is it time to buy a new graphics card? Thanks, AJ

  • Hard drive restore on reboot on windows embedded

    My company has an old out of service device with windows embedded on it that we want to re purpose. Any changes to the drive (SD Card with 2 partitions), (ie: installed software, ip address, system settings, files) are reset/deleted when we reboot the device. We can successfully make changes to the drive by plugging it into a PC, but that has its limitations and we would like to be able to use our device. Can anyone tell us more about the technology used for doing this and how/if we can disable it?
