• Accessing GMail "View as HTML" content programatically?

  I love the "View as HTML" option in GMail when viewing attachments. I would love to be able to use this feature programatically, i.e. check a GMail inbox, read emails, if there are attachments, get the html view and use that content. I'm looking to do this in C Sharp (on a Mac, can't find the hash symbol). Does anyone know if this is possible or if there's another solution to easily get content from a GMail account, regardless of what format it's in? I.E html, pdf, Word doc, etc. The GMail Inbox Feed api isn't good enough and before I start trying to build an IMAP solution that pulls in PDF/Word doc converters, I thought it'd be good to ask here.

• Best method to cleanly shut down an application launched via another.

  I couldn't find any close answers to this, so I'm consulting the experience of SO users: Scenario: I have two small C# winforms applications where one behaves as a server or host, the other as a client. They share data via SQL Server, in terms of configuration settings. I am currently launching the client application (which only needs to run periodically) from the server application via Process.Start() and terminating it via Process.CloseMainWindow() (after finding it in the process list). While it seems clean enough, I wondered if there's a better way. Question: Which way would be best to instruct the client application to shut down: Continue using Process.CloseMainWindow()? Implement WCF between the applications? (I would need help on how to do this.) Set a variable in SQL that the client application checks for? Some other way?

• Why does Printing from Javascript in Air happen out of order?

  I am trying to print from an Adobe Air App that embeds an AJAX app. The print function looks like this: function printPage() { asyncSetupForPrint(printCallback); } function asyncSetupForPrint(printCallback) { synchronousMethods(); if (printCallback) printCallback(); } function printCallback() { var pjob = new window.runtime.flash.printing.PrintJob; var psprite = window.htmlLoader; pjob.start(); // etc... } However the print dialog is coming up before the synchronous methods have been executed. Is the AIR JS runtime optimizing something? And if so, is there any way to stop it doing that? (The setup function is doing things like changing the resolution to huge*huge so that the print out looks ok.)

• Plone, behaviour of URLs

  The situation is the following: I created a site with Plone, developed, used, but behind a test URL. Now it has to be published, but the test URL is not appropriate and I don't want to move the site. I think, if I use a redirect, it won't be appear in the URL-bar, only in the case of site start page. Am I wrong? (The test URL should not be used, because it will be a "semi-official" site.) What do you suggest to do? As far as I can see Plone uses absolute URLs everywhere. I can add relative URLs, but if I create a new page, a new event, etc., then they have absolute URLs on other automatically generated inner pages. Is there any way to convert these URLs to relative paths? Is there any setting possibilty where only a checkbox changes this default setting?

  Hi I have a Start Date and End Date per record in a db. I need to check to see where the time period falls in a 2 year period broken into two lots of quarters then display what quarters each record falls into. Quarter 1 includes June 09, Jul 09, Aug 09 Quarter 2 includes Sept 09, Oct 09, Nov 09 Quarter 3 includes Dec 09, Jan 10, Feb 10 Quarter 4 includes Mar 10, Apr 10, May 10 Quaretr 5 includes Jun 10, Jul 10... e.g. 01/10/09 - 01/06/10 would fall into quarters 2, 3, 4 & 5 I am very new to .NET so any examples would be much appreciated.

• Images or files in GNU Smalltalk?

  Hi, I'm new to Smalltalk. I think I understand the basics of the language and now want to start with GNU Smalltalk (as it's free and has bindings for GTK). As I'm coming from the PHP and Java-Corner, I'm not familiar with the concept of the Smalltalk images. And I even read now, that you don't need to use images in GNU Smalltalk. Now I'm confused ;-) So is it possible to work with files and to include the classes I need with the PackageLoader class? I would be happy when I could use my favourite texteditor (vim) for coding instead of an IDE, too ;-) Please enlight me :-)

  Hello everyone :) I've very recently decided to teach myself c++ and win32 programming after learning vb.net, and i've got a very simple question: How can I determine what version of the Windows SDK is installed on my computer? I'm asking so I can install the latest version if it isn't installed allready, before i start playing around with c++. I'm using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 SP1 as my IDE. (I spent 10 minutes using Google to search for an answer, but I couldn't find one) If anyone could help me, it would be very much appreciated. Matt.

  My android application get restarted when I take the application from home screen, but this not a consistent. Some time it works perfectly (resume with the last visited activity). My application contains a splash screen activity and 5 activities in tab layout. Usage Start application After splash screen the application shows one of the activity in tab Press home button Try to invoke application from home screen Application gets restarted, it is not happening always. I am working on actual device. • Posting to tumblr in PHP

  I am trying to make a test post to my tumblr blog with a php script (that will eventually be ran as a cron job) I have been browsing google and read many answers on here and the closest I found is explained in this post: Tumblr OAuth using PHP's OAuth class I am using the code in his tutorial here: http://vigrond.com/blog/2012/02/04/oauth-extension-php-and-the-tumblr-api/ Pretty much as is, replacing the blogurl with mine and of course the consumer and secret key. When I run the .php script via my browser however, nothing happens. Any ideas? EDIT: The only error I found in cPanel's error log is this: [Wed Oct 31 00:29:25 2012] [error] [client xx.xx.xx.xx ] PHP Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /path on line 14 But I fixed this and the error does not appear anymore.

• Referencing a theorem-like environment by its [name]

  I am using ntheorem to typeset a set of conditions. In my preamble I have: \theoremstyle{empty} \newtheorem{Condtion}{Condtion} When I want to typeset a condition, I write: \begin{Condtion}[name] \label{cnd:nm} foo foo foo \end{Condition} The name appears boldface on the same line as the start of the text of the condition, with no number or anything. Perfect. What I want to do now is refer to the condition by some variant of the \ref command, \ref calls the number [which is not displayed anywhere else] \thref writes "Condition n" for the nth condition \nameref writes the name of the SECTION of the label. a zref solution was suggested here, but seems unsatisfactory. Any clues?

I mean - we as developers can understand benefits of easier implementation of automated testing, better control over rendered html etc., but what would be strongest motives for client to accept usage of asp.net mvc?   Hi folks, I've a problem with JBoss 3.2.6. • How to change object positions in an android layout?

  Hi, I'm currently working on a very simple aplication, and I intended to make it change the visual aspect depending on the screen size. The application just has 6 buttons like this: http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/e1efb4c4d0.jpg I'm using the AbsoluteLayout, and changing the x and y of the buttons with the methods offsetLeftAndRight and offsetTopAndBottom. I'm not changing the layout of the buttons in the xml file, so the all start in the same place. However, if I use this methods inside the onClickMethod they sometimes appear where I want them, sometimes don't (can't figure out why), but if i use them in the onCreate method, nothing happens. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

  Hi, I'm writing a program to notify me of new email. It's mostly complete, I'm just working on the notifyicon code now. It's supposed to display the usual application icon with a box containing the count of unread emails inside it. I created icons for this in photoshop, exported them as 16x16 transparent PNGs, then converted them into windows ico files using ConvertIcon.com. Given that the image was 16x16 and the WinXP system tray uses 16x16 icons, I would assume the images would work. • "painting" one array onto another using python / numpy

  I'm writing a library to process gaze tracking in Python, and I'm rather new to the whole numpy / scipy world. Essentially, I'm looking to take an array of (x,y) values in time and "paint" some shape onto a canvas at those coordinates. For example, the shape might be a blurred circle. The operation I have in mind is more or less identical to using the paintbrush tool in Photoshop. I've got an interative algorithm that trims my "paintbrush" to be within the bounds of my image and adds each point to an accumulator image, but it's slow(!), and it seems like there's probably a fundamentally easier way to do this. Any pointers as to where to start looking?

  Most websites tend to have either a solid color as background, or a small image that is repeated. Why aren't more websites using a large image (such as a photo) as background? I can think of the following reasons: 1) Problems with different screen resolutions. Too small and gaps start to appear on the left and/or right side for higher resolutions, too big and lower resolutions only show part of the image. 2) Bandwidth. Although this is unlikely to be a problem for most websites. Are there any other reasons why such backgrounds are not being used more often?

  I want to create a query to list of all user defined stored procedures, excluding the ones that are system stored procedures, considering that: Checking the name like "sp_" doesn't work because there are user stored procedures that start with "sp_". Checking the property is_ms_shipped doesn't work because there are system stored procedures that have that flag = 0, for example: sp_alterdiagram (it is not MSShipped but appears under System Stored Procedures in SQL Server Management Studio). There must be a property, or a flag somewhere since you can see the "System Stored Procedures" in a separate folder in SQL 2005. Does anyone know?   In Oracle there is a mechanism to generate sequence numbers e.g.; CREATE SEQUENCE supplier_seq MINVALUE 1 MAXVALUE 999999999999999999999999999 START WITH 1 INCREMENT BY 1 CACHE 20; And then execute the statement supplier_seq.nextval to retrieve the next sequence number. How would you create the same functionality in MS SQL Server ? Edit: I'm not looking for ways to automaticly generate keys for table records. I need to generate a unique value that I can use as an (logical) ID for a process. So I need the exact functionality that Oracle provides.

I have a text file that looks like this - Here is your list of servers: server1 server2.domain.local server3 Total number of servers: 3 I need to take that text file and drop the first and last lines (Always first and last.) Then I need to take every other line and basically turn it into a CSV file. • Using Timer only once

  Hi, I want to use a timer only once, at 1 second after the initialization of my main form. I thought the following would have a message box saying "Hello World" just once, but actually a new message box says "Hello World" every one second. Why so? I had put t.Stop() in the tick event. Also, do I need to dispose the timer somehow to avoid memory leakage? • CakePHP HABTM Plugin table naming conventions (for 1.3)

  Hi everyone, I know naming conventions for tables used by plugins generally start with the name of the plugin and then the model pluralized. For example lets say I had a plugin called Poll, with a model also called PollPoll and another model called PollTag then the resulting table names would be poll_polls and poll_tags. They would also have a habtm relationship so what is the convention for that table name? I believe it would poll_poll_polls_poll_tags, although it is a little redundant it makes sense since the first poll_ represents the name of the plugin, while poll_polls and poll_tags relates to the models. Also have any naming conventions changed for plugins in 1.3? Is the above stated correct? Thanks!
