    I have a project that I need to create 2 Arrays, one to hold Student Names and one to hold Student Scores. The user inputs the size of the array, and the array needs to be sorted using BubbleSort (putting the high scores at the top). I have started the project, created the first array for scores, I have successfully done bubble sort and sorted the grades. Now I can't figure out how to make an array for Names, and once I do how do I make the names array correspond to the Grades array BubbleSort?   • Clone a 'link' in SWT

    I have a table of information that includes a username, an ip address, and a timestamp. What I wanted to do was to have the ip address contained within a link object that when the link is clicked it utilizes bgp.he.net to get information about the host/IP address. I have tried creating threads to resolve the IP addresses but it is often a large amount of IP addresses and I read that InetAddress#getByName isn't non-blocking, so I figured having links that go to this site is the next best thing. Question is: Is it possible to have links for each of my IP addresses in the table without creating a new link object for each row? I don't know how bad that would be on memory usage which is why I'm inquiring about cloning an instance of an IP and having the link open bgp.he.net/link.getText()

  • Issues with an image link

    Two days ago I spontaneously bought myself a domain. The day before that, I hardly even knew what a domain really was. Since then, I've been trying to teach myself HTML for the very first time. Basically what I'm trying to say is, I'm very new - and will probably be poor in my explanations. I just succeeded in making an 'image-button', sorta. It's where I make a button-like image and then use it as navigation on my website (just like a regular link). My issue is that the link 'border' itself is bigger than the image, so you can press an inch outside the image itself and it will work. How do I make the invisible link 'border' the same size as the button? This is my site: http://www.djeveln.com On the test page (djeveln.com/test) is where I test things.   • Create a (edit) hyperlink in front of dropdownbox with jQuery

    I have a table with some data. All data is contained in dropdownboxes and textbox. But it isn't easy to see, what is newly written input and what is data from the database. So I want to create a (edit) after these boxes, and replace the boxes with a literal where the contained value in the dropdownbox stands. When the edit-button is pushed the literal goes away and the dropdownbox appears instead, so it is possible to edit the data. This is all, the jQuery don't have to save the data to database, I have functionality to that in a save-button. I don't want to use any extra plugin to jQuery, because it seems to be a fairly simpel task. Any good ideas?

  • Javascript is freezing the browser when running this code

    I am trying to get the value of a text input and check if there is any links in it and then take those links and make them into tags. But when I run this code, something is going wrong and it completely freezes the page. Basically, I want it to check for "http://" and if that exists, to keep on adding to the substr length until the end of the string/link.   • Show image on hover with PHP

    I have a small problem with my PHP code and It would be very nice if someone could help me. I want to display an image when hovering over a link. This is the link with the PHP code that I have now: <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php if ( has_post_thumbnail() ) {the_post_thumbnail();} else if ( has_post_video() ) {the_post_video_image();}?></a> This code shows a image, but I want to execute this code when hovering over the link with the image: <?php echo print_image_function(); ?> The code also shows a image that belongs to a category. I don't want the initial image to disappear I simply want to show the second image on top off the first image when hovering over the first image. I don't know if it is helpful but I use Wordpress and I am not a PHP expert. I even don't know if this is going to work. Thats why I am asking if somebody can help me with this. Thanks in advance

  • MS Access: Why can I no longer right-click to add a hyperlink?

    I've been working in an MS Access system for a while now. It's a form system where users enter data, add links, contacts etc. Pretty simple. On the form is a hyperlink field. For months I could right-click the field, and from the popup context menu select Hyperlink Add a hyperlink (something like that). This would allow me to browse to a network location, select a folder, click okay, and have the path automatically added to the field. Then it stopped working. It works fine for everyrone else but not me. What's stranger, if I go to another machine and login, I get the functionality back. Any ideas?

    I have a lot of Powerpoint slides that I converted to LibreOffice Impress. The resulting hyperlinks are very faded, very hard to see. I can't seem to find any way to change the colour of hyperlinks as a whole. Any colour change I do make on an individual url link does not hold when converted back to .ppt which is sometimes necessary. I have tried the tools=options=libreoffice=appearance route but it only seems to affect the very first hyperlink in the slide set

  • Why Won't My ASP.NET Hyperlink Work in IE?

    I'm making a very simple ad button system using ASP.NET 2.0 The advertisment is a 150x150px square that is displayed on "the r house." (Scroll down a little and you'll see the bright green "Angry Octopus" on the right side of the screen.) Now, I am not the administrator of "the r house." Instead, I am the administrator of angryoctopus.net Therefore, I don't have the ability to change the ad display code on a whim. So I gave "the r house" this snippet of code to display our ad nicely, while still allowing me to customize the back-end code on my end: <iframe src="http://www.angryoctopus.net/Content/Ad/150x150.aspx" frameborder="0" width="150" height="150" scrolling="no" style="padding: 0; margin: 0;"></iframe> You'll find this snippet in the page source to "the r house." On my side, the code looks like this: <asp:HyperLink runat="server" NavigateUrl="http://www.angryoctopus.net/" Target="_top"> <asp:Panel ID="pnlMain" runat="server" BackColor="#D1E231" style="padding: 0; margin: 0" Width="150" Height="150"> <asp:Image runat="server" ImageUrl="http://www.angryoctopus.net/Content/Ad/150x150.png" BorderStyle="None" style="padding: 0; margin: 0" /> </asp:Panel> </asp:HyperLink> ... and there's some insignificant back-end C# code for hit-counting. This looks all well and good from the code standpoint, as far as I can tell. Everything works in Firefox and Chrome. Also, everything appears to work in IE8 in all of my tests. I haven't tested IE7. But when you view "the r house" in IE(8) the hyperlink doesn't do anything, and the cursor doesn't indicate that the hyperlink is even there. Although you can see the target URL in the status bar. I've considered the fact that "the r house" uses XHTML 1.0 Strict could be causing problems, but that would probably effect Firefox and Chrome right? (My aspx pages use XHTML 1.0 Transitional) My only other theory is that some random CSS class could be applying a weird attribute to my iframe, but again I would expect that would effect Firefox and Chrome. Is this a security issue with IE? Does anyone know what part of the r house's website could be blocking the hyperlink in IE? And how can I get around this without having to hard code anything on the r house's website? Is there an alternative to iframe that would do the same job without requiring complicated scripting?

  • How to deal with special characters in ASP.NET's HyperLink.NavigateUrl?

    I am currently having troubles figuring out how to handle a filepath to be (dynamicly) passed out to a HyperLink control's NavigateUrl property. Let's say that I'm trying to refer to a file named jäynä.txt at the root of C:. Passing "file:///C:/jäynä.txt" result to a link to file:///C:/jäynä.txt, as does HttpUtility.UrlPathEncode("file:///C:/jäynä.txt"). Replacing the äs with %E4, which gives the string "file:///C:/j%E4yn%E4.txt", does give a working link to file:///C:/jäynä.txt, but I have not been able to find a way to make the replacement without defining it myself. With Replace("ä", "%E4"), for example. Is there a way to automaticly handle the filepath string so that the HyperLink would display it correctly, without manualy listing what characters to replace in the string? Additional Note: There may be a way to work around this by spesifying the character encoding in which the page is rendered, because debugging shows that the HyperLink at least saves the string "file:///C:/jäynä.txt" unchanged, but somehow mangles it around the time of rendering. However, this seems only be the case in rendering of the NavigateUrl because other components as well as HyperLink's Text-property are all quite capable of rendering the character ä unchanged.

    I am looking improve the efficiency of an Access 2010 database by using a web server with images and only storing the hyperlink source (i.e, http://www.images.com/images/image1.jpg) in the table. I know that one can save images as "attachements", using a "blob" object type, but when you're dealing with thousands of images, queries are bogged down, and performance suffers. So in short, is there are relatively simple way of displaying images on MS Access forms with a source that is a hyperlink address (storing files locally and using filepaths is not preferable).   • XtraGrid Suite - is there a way to add a button or hyperlink to a cell?

    I'm working with the XtraGrid Suite made by DevExpress. I can't find any sort of functionality to do this, but I'm curious if you can add a button or hyperlink to a grid cell. Context: I've got an Events list. Each Event has a Time, Start/End, and a Category (Utility and Maintenance). There can be Start events and Stop events. Having done my analysis of the problem, I've decided that having a StartTime and EndTime for each event would not work. So if an event starts, I'd record the current time to the Event object, and set it as a 'Start' event. I'd like to add a "Stop" button/hyperlink to a cell in that row. If the user wishes to log an Ends event, the event type, etc would be copied to a new Event with the type 'Stop' and the button would disappear. I hope this makes sense. EDIT: Aaronaught's answer is actually better than what I was originally asking (a button) so I've updated the question. That way, anyone looking for putting a hyperlink in a cell can benefit from his example : )
