  Hey guys, I'm trying to call a java implemented web service (using the NetBeans IDE) from javascript. I have read a lot about jQuery and AJAX but i cant seem to get a hand on it. suppose my web service WSDL is found at: http://localhost:8080/MICE_Server/MapEditorService?WSDL web method name : sayHello(String name) which returns a string. how would i be able to to this in javascript? thanks in advance for ur help!!

• Using VS Code Snippets with Resharper

  I am trying to use Code Contract's Code Snippets but since I turned Resharper back on it doesn't recognize them. On the other hand, it is recognizing some snippets I've implemented myself in the past. Any ideia of what might be the problem? I'm specifically trying to use cr and ce, which I think, don't collide with any other snippets (at least from what I see in the intellisense). I'm using R# 5 with VS 2010 Thanks

Should I write it as an XMLDocument first and transform using XSL or just use Streamwriter and skip transformation altogether?   Is there an easy way to update the data source for multiple pivot tables on a single Excel sheet at the same time? All of the pivot tables reference the same named range, but I need to create a second worksheet that has the same pivot tables, but accessing a different named range. Ideally I would like to be able to do some kind of search and replace operation (like you can do on formulae), rather than updating each individual pivot table by hand. Any suggestions?

I would like something like: ./perlscript <main option> [some options like -h or --output-file some_name] Options will be handled with - or --, but I want to be able to let the user give me the main and needed option without dashes. • Can IDL evaluate strings as code?

  Is there any functionality in IDL that will allow it to evaluate a a string as code? Or, failing that, is there a nice, dynamic way of including /KEYWORD in functions? For example, if I wanted to ask them for what type of map projection the user wants, is there a way to do it nicely, without large if/case statements for the /Projection_Type keyword it needs? With even a small number of user options, the combinations would cause if/case statements to get out of hand very quickly to handle all the possible options.

• Why does one column seem to load first in Wordpress?

  I have a Wordpress site that is doing something very bizarre. If you go to: http://digitaldemo.net/joy/krippen-a-b-c/ When it loads, the main content div loads on the right hand side of the page and then once the sidebar loads, THEN it gets pushed over to where it ought to be. It's only really noticable in Firefox, but I'd like to find out what is causing it and fix the issue. Any ideas? Many thanks!

  Hi, I have a table in which I want a dynamic image to load in at the left-hand side. The table needs to use an IF statement to select the appropriate image from the "Resources" folder, and needs to be based upon [dog types]. The [dog types] is extracted from an RSS feed, and so the image in the table cell needs to match the each cell's [dog types] tag. I suspect I need to use - (UIImage *)imageForTypes:(NSString *)types { to do such a thing. Thanks.

• What's the difference between 'service' and 'server'?

  I can imagine that the 'server' can be a machine/host but can be also a program like ftp server, smtp server, etc.. The 'service' on the other hand refers mainly to applications/programms.. Why can then for example the Sql Server cannot be called as Sql Service? It has the same semanthics. Or the other way round: MS Azure service: why it isn't called Azure Server? :)

  I have a table view and want to allow rearranging of all cells, however there are certain cells that i do not want to be allowed to be deleted. when the UiTableView is put into deletion mode i do not want the red '-' button to appear on the left hand side, and do not want the swipe gesture to bring up the Delete button of these cells but want it to happen for the others. Any ideas?

  I have a rectangle of any arbitrary width and height. I know X,Y, width, and height. How do I solve the upper right hand coordinates when the rectangle is rotated N degrees? I realized if it were axis aligned I would simply solve for (x,y+width). Unforunatly this doesn't hold true when I apply a transform matrix on the rectangle to rotate it around its center.

I'm aware of Object#method method, which takes a method name and returns a Method instance, but, on the other hand, there's a similar thing you can do with blocks to make them into Proc instances, and blocks aren't objects, so what makes methods any different?
