• PHP: Cookie only sent to http://www.xxx.com and NOT http://xxx.com

  Hi, I have a php login which sets 2 cookies once some one login. the problem is that if you login from : http://www.mydomain.com and you go to http://mydomain.com you will find your self not logged in, I think that's because the browser only send the cookies to the first syntax. It's only one domain, the difference is the www. before the domain name, so how to set cookies to the whole domain whatever there is www. or not ? Thanks

• SVN merge loses files and code

I'm trying to merge trunk change-set into a branch, but have found out a lot of post-merge issues, including whole files that disappeared, and missing code blocks I'm using SVN 1.6 for both clients and server. Tried this with multiple clients - Eclipse, Netbeans and SVN - the result is the same. Can someone advice how sort it out, and most important, prevent code loss? Thanks in advance!

  I'm thinking of building a game along the lines of Farmville - items, events, time management system etc. Options I am thinking of: 1) Flash UI frontend that uses AMFPHP to get all data for the view from a PHP powered backend. 2) Actionscript to power the whole game Any input is appreciated. My concern with Actionscript is scaling, my concern with PHP is having to build an update system that would need a lot of back and forth xmlhttprequests which might get complicated. If there's a better way to build something like this, I'm all ears :)

• Custom title bar without padding (Android)

  So I am using the techniques in this thread to use a custom background for my titlebar. Unfortunately the framework places my layout inside a FrameLayout which has padding and so the image doesn't cover the whole bar, but instead has gray borderes. Is there anyway to remove this padding? I can't just set the padding attributes because I do not create the frame layout.

• Django site on Nginx+FastCGI goes (504 gateway timeout)

  Sometimes my whole Django based site goes into 504 gateway timeout errors so none page can be displayed. Is it possible to write a shell program and cronjob it run every 5 minutes to detect such errors and restart FastCGI process if needed? I'm currently using command below to restart FastCGI in case it's crashed but it doesn't work for above situation because when 504 gateway errors occur, the processes are still running. ps ax | grep -v grep | grep port=8001 > /dev/null || restart_fcgi.sh

• How to use WatiN to control browser tabs?

I've tried sticking it into a Parallel.For loop only to see the whole thing crash, so I'm thinking opening multiple tabs in the browser is the way to go.   My web service is returning quite a bit of data, so i'm storing it in an arraylist and returning that to my application. I don't know whether or not this is the preferred method or not. • xampp virtual host in config file causes forbidden error...

  Any idea why the following virtual host causes xampp to give me a "403 forbidden error"? <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName rst DocumentRoot "C:/xampp/htdocs/administrator/login.php" </VirtualHost> If I delete this code then xampp loads web pages just fine...but I don't want to have to type in the whole url...I want to just type in "rst" and go to my page. The whole homepage is displayed. I checked, and the default route is matched. I tried assemble() on route "www-community-index" and it gives well www.domain.com/community I don't see from where comes the problem :(
