  • Firefox keyboard shortcuts to menu items / add-on functions

    At the moment I'm using context menus a lot to access commands in Firefox, but I would like to replace this repetitive clicking and searching with keyboard shortcuts for the common tasks that I perform. How to assign keys to add-on functionality? E.g. I use Close Other Tabs from Tab Mix Plus a lot - but I could not find any add-on that allows me to create a key combination for it e.g. Ctrl Alt Shift F4? My search did yield Key config, but this extension does not allow mapping to add-on functions I thought Menu Editor might be relevant, as you can change menus with it, and re-arrange even add-on items A rather demanding solution here, which seems to require re-compiling some jar files Customizing menu shortcuts in Firefox

  • Exchange 2010 update timezone of all calendar items

    We are currently operating Exchange 2010 server with Outlook 2010 clients on a ship. We have just changed timezones for the first time in quite a while today. Is there any way to rebase all the calendars and/or update all the calendar items to the new timezone at the same time? I have looked at the following tools already. Microsoft Exchange Calendar Update Configuration Tool - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=6266 (Doesn't support exchange 2010) Time Zone Data Update Tool for Microsoft Office Outlook - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17291 The Time Zone Data Update Tool for Microsoft Office Outlook does work for individual users, but has some serious downsides. Including each user needs to run it (approx 400 users), and also it only seems to work on the default account in Outlook 2010, a lot of our users have role accounts as well that we would need to run the tool on. The only way I can find to get this tool to run on the role accounts is to make the role account the default account in outlook, and that in itself is quiet an involved process especially if you have 2 or 3 role accounts. So is there a way to just change all calendar items on our Exchange server to a different timezone in one go? We are a little unique in terms of the whole organisation can change timezones over night, meeting rooms and all, but surely a product as advanced as Exchange 2010 allows us to do what we need.

  • ListView items not responding to tap

    I'm just getting my feet wet with Android and have built a UI that contains a TabHost with three tabs. Each tab is powered by its own Activity. The first Tab contains a listview with a prepopulated set of rows and is built from a custom ArrayAdapter. The problem I'm running into is that none of the ListView rows are tappable. In other words, when I tap on them there is no orange selection. If I use the scroll ball on my Nexus One it will select, but any touch gestures don't seem to be responding.   • Lubuntu: How do I arrange windows with keyboard shortcuts?

    I have been testing with Lubuntu and have found it really pleasant. However, I cannot find an answer for one essential (for me) feature: being able to arrange windows with keyboard shortcuts. In Ubuntu this is done with the "Grid" plugin in "compizconfig-settings-manager". Unity uses this as well for window arranging. I am not interested in the "drag to the left to take up 1/2 the screen", but rather just the "hit some key combo" to put the active window to the left 1/2 of the screen, for example. I found this entry in "askubuntu" asking a very similar question: Is there a way to make Openbox behave like the Compiz Grid plugin? But it seems the "answer to this question", namely pyTile (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pytile/), doesn't do what I would like it to do. I don't want to tile all current windows, I want to resize one window at a time as I specify (left, right, top, center, bottom, 1/2, 2/3, 1/3, etc.). And I would prefer to do so with the keyboard. I think it possible to install compiz in Lubuntu, but this seems like "overkill" for this one feature (Grid keyboard shortcuts). Any help out there? It would REALLY MAKE MY DAY!!!

  • Populating ComboBoxDataColumn items and values

    I have a "populate combobox", and I'm so happy with it that I've even started using more comboboxes. It takes the combobox object by reference with the ID of the "value set" (or whatever you want to call it) from a table and adds the items and their respective values (which differ) and does the job. I've recently had the brilliant idea of using comboboxes in a gridview, and I was happy to notice that it worked JUST LIKE a single combobox, but populating all the comboboxes in the given column at the same time. ObjComboBox.Items.Add("yadayada"); //works just like ObjComboBoxColumn.Items.Add("blablabla"); But When I started planning how to populate these comboboxes I've noticed: There's no "Values" property in ComboBoxDataColumn. ObjComboBox.Values = whateverArray; //works, but the following doesn't ObjComboBoxColumn.Values = whateverArray; Questions: 0 - How do I populate it's values ? (I suspect it's just as simple, but uses another name) 1 - If it works just like a combobox, what's the explanation for not having this attribute ? -----[EDIT]------ So I've checked out Charles' quote, and I've figured I had to change my way of populating these bad boys. Instead of looping through the strings and inserting them one by one in the combobox, I should grab the fields I want to populate in a table, and set one column of the table as the "value", and other one as the "display". So I've done this: ObjComboBoxColumn.DataSource = DTConfig; //Double checked, guaranteed to be populated ObjComboBoxColumn.ValueMember = "Code"; ObjComboBoxColumn.DisplayMember = "Description"; But nothing happens, if I use the same object as so: ObjComboBoxColumn.Items.Add("StackOverflow"); It is added. There is no DataBind() function. It finds the two columns, and that's guaranteed ("Code" and "Description") and if I change their names to nonexistant ones it gives me an exception, so that's a good sign. -----[EDIT]------ I have a table in SQL Server that is something like code  |  text —————    1    | foo    2    | bar It's simple, and with other comboboxes (outside of gridviews) i've successfully populated looping through the rows and adding the texts: ObjComboBox.Items.Add(MyDataTable.Rows[I]["MyColumnName"].ToString()); And getting every value, adding it into an array, and setting it like: ObjComboBox.Values = MyArray; I'd like to populate my comboboxColumns just as simply as I do with comboboxes.

    I have a Dictionary<Guid, ElementViewModel>. (ElementViewModel is our own complex type.) I add items to the dictionary with a stock standard items.Add(Guid.NewGuid, new ElementViewModel() { /*setters go here*/ });, At a later stage I remove some or all of these items.   • filtering itunes library items by file location

    3 answers and unfortunately no solution yet. The Problem I've got way more than 1000 duplicated items in my iTunes Library pointing to a non-existant place (the "where" under "get info" window), along with other duplicated items and other MIAs (Missing In Action). Is there any simple way to just delete all of them and only them? From the library, of course. By that I mean some MIAs are pointing to /Volumes while some are pointing to .../music/Music/... or just .../music/.... I want to delete all pointing to /Volumes as to later I'll recover the rest. Check the image below. Some Background I tried searching for a specific key word on the path and creating smart play list, but with no result. Being able to just sort all library by path would be a perfect solution! I believe old iTunes could do that. PowerTunes can do it (sort by path) but I can't do anything with its list. I would also welcome any program able to handle this, then import and properly export back the iTunes library. Since this seems to just not be clear enough... AppleScript doesn't work That's because AppleScript just can't gather the missing info anywhere in iTunes Library. Maybe we could use AppleScript by opening the XML file, but that's a whole nother issue.     I have a rather annoying issue with my Windows 7 computer whereby it seems to take ages to delete, move or copy folders, even when they are empty. The problem is intermittent, to make matters worse. It just says "Discovering items..." for anything up to a couple of minutes before eventually doing what its told. Any suggestions on where to look to stop this happening? I have tried disabling antivirus realtime scanning to rule that out as the root cause.

    I have an email listed as being sent by my outlook account that I did not send. In order to figure out who it was sent to, I forwarded it to the same address (hotmail account) and received a reply that there was no such address. I've tried looking up that address and it does not appear to exist. Can someone fake an email and have it appear in my outlook sent items folder as being sent by me? How can I tell who did this?

    We have created an ASP.NET web app that upload files to WSS Doc Libary. The files get added under 'SYSTEM ACCOUNT' in the library. The FullTextSqlQuery class is used to search the document libary items. But it only searches files that has been uploaded by a windows user account like 'Administrator' and ignores the ones uploaded by 'SYSTEM ACCOUNT'. As a result the search results are empty even though we have the necessary data in the document library. What could be the reason for this?   • Scrollable list items in jQuery

    Hi Guys, I have a list of 4 items and the ul has a background image that makes the second item look as though it has an arrow behind it. I want to be able to scroll the items up or down when they are clicked to the second items position so for example when I click the fourth item the whole list scrolls up so the fourth item is then postioned over the top of the background image and all the other items will be sitting in the same order above it. I have tried using jQuery Tools with the circular option selected but it clones the first an last item and i end up with a gap when i get to the bottom and I also cant make each item selectable to scroll the list up or down. Doing this maybe adding the <li> items one by one theoretically but when I load the page, everything shows up instantaneously. Instead, is there an efficient way to make them appear one by one more slowly? I'll explain with a small example: If I have 3 items, this code is making all the 3 items appear instantaneously (at least to my eyes). I want something like 1 fades in, then 2 fades in, then 3 (something like a newsticker perhaps). Anyone has a suggestion?

  • High Runtime for Dictionary.Add for a large amount of items

    Hi folks, I have a C#-Application that stores data from a TextFile in a Dictionary-Object. The amount of data to be stored can be rather large, so it takes a lot of time inserting the entries. With many items in the Dictionary it gets even worse, because of the resizing of internal array, that stores the data for the Dictionary. So I initialized the Dictionary with the amount of items that will be added, but this has no impact on speed. Here is my function: private Dictionary<IdPair, Edge> AddEdgesToExistingNodes(HashSet<NodeConnection> connections) { Dictionary<IdPair, Edge> resultSet = new Dictionary<IdPair, Edge>(connections.Count); foreach (NodeConnection con in connections) { ... resultSet.Add(nodeIdPair, newEdge); } return resultSet; } In my tests, I insert ~300k items. I checked the running time with ANTS Performance Profiler and found, that the Average time for resultSet.Add(...) doesn't change when I initialize the Dictionary with the needed size. It is the same as when I initialize the Dictionary with new Dictionary(); (about 0.256 ms on average for each Add). This is definitely caused by the amount of data in the Dictionary (ALTHOUGH I initialized it with the desired size). For the first 20k items, the average time for Add is 0.03 ms for each item. Any idea, how to make the add-operation faster? Thanks in advance, Frank
