    can anyone please help? I am trying to install samsung printer SCX 5737FW on Ubuntu 11.10, but when I plug in the usb cable it tries to look for the driver, but can't find it. Indeed the webpage http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/print-solutions/print-solutions/mono-multi-function-products/SCX-5737FW/SEE-spec tells me that the printer is supported up to Ubuntu 10. This true because it installs perfectly on my other machine with ubuntu 9. Can anyone help please? Thanks

  • Can you still install Ubuntu 10.10 with Wubi?

    I am trying to help a friend get set up with Ubuntu and want to recommend Wubi for his install (he is not very computer savvy). I had recently tried the Wubi download from Ubuntu.com and the only option it gave me was to install Natty. Is there any way I can get Wubi to install 10.10 Maverick? Preferably just the EXE file, not having to download an entire disc image as the friend has no idea how to burn discs. Thanks much!

    I've been trying to install 'boot-repair' but it keeps saying: The following packages have unmet dependencies: Depends: boot-sav (= 3.196) but 3.196~ppa3~quantal is to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. When I try installing 'boot-sav', everything seems okay, but when I try it again, it just shows the same message over and over again. How can I fix such a problem? Thanks.

  • in iOS7 how do you stop the First viewcontroller autorotating?

    I have an app that just needs one screen to autorotate, the first and last screens should be portrait. I can get the last screen to stop rotating using: -(NSUInteger)supportedInterfaceOrientations { return UIInterfaceOrientationMaskPortrait; } But this does not work on the first screen, I am using a storyboard with a UINavigationController (I'm thinking that may have something to do with it?)     Hi, everybody! My pc has an Intel DH57JG mainboard, I've installed wine, launching sketchup I receive error that I don't have OpenGL installed, is there a way to configure/install it? On my previous pc with an NVidia video card installing official NVidia driver resolved it. Is there is a way to do the same with the Intel card?     In my website I have this javascript code, adding a vertical offset when in the url a specific section of the page is specified (#): if (!!window.location.hash) window.scrollBy(0,-60); However this only works in Firefox... I'm pretty sure window.location.hash works in all browsers, that is, the symbol "sharp" is correctly detected in the url.     i do have a 12.04 ubuntu on my notebook , but i do have a problem with it. I cannot boot , if i dont press anything then there is a black screen , and it does not boot. If i press the space button , or any other key , for mutlitples times , like 20 or 25 times or more then it's boot in seconds , and normally. How can i resolve this?     I installed 12.04 LTS (upgrade from 11.10) but When I start my computer it show "Your system is running in low-graphics mode, Your screen, graphics card, and input device settings could not be detected correctly. You will need to configure these yourself." And than show dialog what I want to do, but this one doesn´t work correctly. So I can access only terminal but I don´t know how set this staf or how to start GUI. Because I´m terminal kiddies :-) Thanks for any help :-)
