    Possible Duplicate: Algorithm to find a duplicate entry in constant space and O(n) time Given an array of N integer such that only one integer is repeated. Find the repeated integer in O(n) time and constant space. There is no range for the value of integers or the value of N For example given an array of 6 integers as 23 45 67 87 23 47. The answer is 23 (I hope this covers ambiguous and vague part) I searched on the net but was unable to find any such question in which range of integers was not fixed. Also here is an example that answers a similar question to mine but here he created a hash table with the highest integer value in C++.But the cpp does not allow such to create an array with 2^64 element(on a 64-bit computer).

    hi all i have very strange issue with some of my servlet. below is my configuration Folder A is having X number os servelet deployed in tomcat directory Folder B is having Y number of servelet deployed in tomcat directory. now after certain amount of time or hits to any of the servelet in Folder B is stops working properly, whereas at same time All servelet of Folder A works fine i am not able to trace where i am doing mistake all coding for both folder's servelet is same only difference is they are with different dB, but it is very simple read only operation with dB though. any idea ? thks

  • Mysql query taking too much time

    I have problem related to mysql database. i am linux webserver admin and i am facing a problem with a mysql query. The database is very small. I tried to track in logs and found that a query is taking minimum 5 sec to respond . The first page of site is coming from the database. Client are using cms. when the server gets some number of hits database server starts to give response very slowly and wait time increases from 5 sec to several seconds. I checked slow query logs { Query_time: 11.480138 Lock_time: 0.003837 Rows_sent: 921 Rows_examined: 3333 SET timestamp=1346656767; SELECT `Tender`.`id`, `Tender`.`department_id`, `Tender`.`title_english`, `Tender`.`content_english`, `Tender`.`title_hindi`, `Tender`.`content_hindi`, `Tender`.`file_name`, `Tender`.`start_publish`, `Tender`.`end_publish`, `Tender`.`publish`, `Tender`.`status`, `Tender`.`createdBy`, `Tender`.`created`, `Tender`.`modifyBy`, `Tender`.`modified` FROM `mcms_tenders` AS `Tender` WHERE `Tender`.`department_id` IN ( 31, 33, 32, 30 ); } Every line in the log is same only there is diff in Query time. Is there any way tweak the performance?

    Hai, I would like to calculate actual time from different timezones. I have two mysql tables 1.Timezone table: This table contians two fields (offset value, country name) values are ( -12:00, Eniwetok, Kwajalein) (-11:00, Midway Island, Samoa).... so on 2.My employee table This table contains the employees details with two field names (created_on, timezone) and the values are (current timestamp, -11:00) (current timestamp, -12:00)..... so on Now, If my employee logged in to my system, i want to display the time according to their timezones values from tables. Basically if my Current timestamp is :2010-05-10 15:41:39 offset values is: +5:30 my result should be : 10 May 2010 3:41pm the same for different offset values for the same current timestamp. I believe i explained the issue correctly, if you want any information, please ask me.

    I have a WPF application with many tabs.. in one tab.. i make a verycomplex vector drawing consisting of thousands of drawing visuals.. (this represents a machine and all elements need to be interactable..) It takes 3/4 seconds for drawing this for the first time..After the first draw it should be done.. The problem is if i switch to another tab and comeback, it takes atlease 2,3 seconds to show the tabpage with drawing again.. Since there is no redraw, why should it take so much time..?

  • Reload table view in real time

    The app receives a UILocalNotification, but if the user is at the UITableViewController at the fire time, the table view (containing the scheduled notifications) does not reload. The user has to get out of that view and load the view again so that the cells are loaded and, as the notification was already fired, it will not be displayed on any cell of that table view. Problem is: If the user touches the specific tableView cell that contained the notification that just fired, the app crashes, cause the notification is not there anymore. I've implemented the - (void)reloadData in every place possible, and it still doesn't load in real time. What would be a better solution for this? Other detail, how can I push a specific view after the notification is displayed (when the user slides the app icon when the phone is locked)? Any help will be truly appreciated, since theres are the last details remaining to publish my first App.

    I've always used clock() to measure how much time my application took from start to finish, as; int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { const clock_t START = clock(); // ... const double T_ELAPSED = (double)(clock() - START) / CLOCKS_PER_SEC; } Since I've started using POSIX threads this seem to fail. It looks like clock() increases N times faster with N threads. As I don't know how many threads are going to be running simultaneously, this approach fails. So how can I measure how much time has passed ?

  • Drupal Event/Calendar Module not storing event time

    Hello, all. I have installed a fresh copy of Drupal on an Xampp server. Within that install is a collection of modules for creating an event calendar. There's actually a great instructional video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qO4TeEydtMs for getting all the necessary fields up. So far everything is working except... the events won't store the time as stated in the edit field. No matter what I do in the edit mode as admin or otherwise the time always says 12pm and the event on the calendar says "All Day". I know this is pretty obscure but I figured why not try and ask.     I have a jquery function that is called on $(document).ready that modifies the css of a Business Intelligence dashboard. I had to use jquery to make the adjustments because I do not have access to the source code of the BI tool. What happens is when the page loads, I run through the tab navigation and change the colors of the tabs based on certain requirements (which is basically dependent on the text of the tab). The issue I am facing is that there is a small lag time from when the page initially loads to when the jquery updates have been made to the page. Is there a way to reduce this lag time?

I could create a bitmap diagram much faster, but images are much more difficult to in line in a source file (until VS2010). For the record, I'm not talking about decorative ASCII art.     I found this thread which basically has the same issue I have. But their solution is not working for me. The dialog appears the first time I click the submit button, but not the 2nd time. I'm opening the dialog box after a form submission. UPDATE I finally got it working.     The site I'm working on, is almost completed. I have a Demo page created as well, where people can try out the product. However for first time visitors to understand what service the site actually provides I'm brainstorming with the following ideas. Since a lot of folks have been through this a number of time, would like to get some advice on what they use and what generally works. Here is what I came up with - 1.) Plain Slideshow, showing various features. (Using jQquery, hence figuring out a simple BUT professional looking plugin).Simplest to implement. 2.) Flash - Will have to hire someone. 3.) JellyVision ? - I'm not sure if this is free though. But something free like this would be great !

In that user control I am having a textbox and I am calling a Jquery Blur to do some validation. While doing so the function is calling [blur] is calling twice. I just called an alert() with the textbox value.So I can see the alert is coming twice .What I need to do to avoid the second time.
