  Hey all, I am having some problems writting to a file in unicode inside my c program. I am trying to write a unicode Japanese string to a file. When I go to check the file though it is empty.   Hey All First of all: I am well aware that OpenCL does not magically make everything faster I am well aware that OpenCL has limitations So now to my question, i am used to do different scientific calculations using programming. Some of the things i work with is pretty intense in regards to the complexity and number of calculations. SO i was wondering, maybe i could speed things up bu using OpenCL. • Java EE Module Dependencies in web project?

  Hey guys, I have this webprojec to which I have to add a jar from another EJB project. Normally I'd right-click the webproject and go to properties - Java EE Module Dependencies. I don't know if it is because I upgraded eclipse, or i'm doing something wrong, but I just can't find the "Java EE Module Dependencies" in the properties window. Both projects are linked with the same EAR so the EJB jar file shuld be there! Any ideas what I'm doing wrong or some other way I could attach the EJB's JAR file? I'm only allowed to work with eclipse, so netbeans is not an option. Thanks! EDIT: basically, this is what I want to do, but that specific panel won't show up...

  Hey! I want to convert "123456" to "00:20:34.56" where the two digits to the right of the decimal point is in hundredth of a second. So 00:00:00.99 + 00:00:00.01 = 00:00:01.00 What I have: def to_hmsc(cent) h = (cent/360000).floor cent -= h*360000 m = (cent/6000).floor cent -= m*6000 s = (cent/100).floor cent -= s*100 "#{h}:#{m}:#{s}.#{s}" end does this: to_hmsc("123456") #= "0:20:34.56" Question 1: I mean,this is ruby, I find the part ' cent -=... ' rather clunky. Can you see any way to shorten the entire process? Question 2: This has been asked a million times before, but please share whatever you've got: what's the shortest way to add leading zero to the digits. so that to_hmsc("123456") #= "00:20:34.56" Thanks!

• JSON - Php/SQL iPhone APP Questions/Help

  Hey group, first time posting here I am somewhat new to the JSON/PHP/mySQL world, but been around iPhone designing for the past few years, though this topic of conversation is a while new area I am entering. I have done JSON iPhone examples that allow me to create a UITableView and display the JSON data into the TableViewCells (CustomCells) and displays the data (NSDictionary)into UILabels The problem I am having now, is that I want an APP that displays this information from the JSON into just a couple of UILabel's on a regular UIViewController and not a UITableView any help would greatly be appreciated, the example I used and learned for JSON and UITABLE was from http://tempered.mobi/%20 I used that example from my app, but incorporated a few other things like CUSTOM cells however now when the USER selects the specific CELL I want it to load specific data from another JSON file, and cannot get it to load in a UILabel or UITextView in a UIViewController HELP :-)

  Hey all. I'm computing the angle between two vectors, and sometimes Math.Acos() returns NaN when it's input is out of bounds (-1 input && input 1) for a cosine. What does that mean, exactly? Would someone be able to explain what's happening? Any help is appreciated! • Is it possible to replace a div element with jquery and update the dom?

  Hey guys quick question, I want to update the contents of a div with two new divs to take the place of the previous ones. Each new div has a unique id to take the place of the old ones. I then want any further update to use the ids of the new divs as their values instead of the original. Is this possible in Jquery? • headers already sent displays after moving files from one server to another

  hey there! I have a project running on dreamhost hosting and it's working fine, but since DH has been getting really slow I'm moving the project to my new dedicated server. The thing is that after I move all of my file over to the new dedicated (ubuntu 8.4) I get see warnings all over the place telling me that the headers had been already sent. The first thing I tried was moving the files via FTP: download to my machine, upload to server - Didn't worked Second try was tar.gz the folder on the first server and untar it on the new one, didn't worked either I tried chaing enconding to ANSI and they start working, however most of my files contain accents so ANSI is not an option for all my files i need UTF8 Any ideas on how to fix this? I'm sure it must be some sort of config

  Hey guys, I was looking at the Twitter for iPhone app and was puzzled. First of all, there are normal words looking like links inside. Second, when I touch those link-like words, the text view (or maybe web view) jumps to the corresponding part below (yes, it doesn't open Safari, it just jumps to the text within that text/web view) Now I want to implement the same effects. I should base my implementation on what? UITextView or UIWebView? How to make normal words look like links? How to make those smooth jumps within such a text/web views? Thanks in advance.

• Get the size of a Silverlight window

  Hey! I'm creating a Silverlight 4 Out Of Browser application. I have my MainPage that will be the "central" application. I want to be able to display another Control next to the MainPage, by using a Popup and I want it to be displayed right next to the MainPage. How can I get the coordinates of the upper right corner of the MainPage at each moment? (Beware that this MainPage can be moved all over the screen and hence I will need to dynamically get the corner coordinates, in order to display my popup right next to the main window). • New to VS.net (VB.net) 2008. Windows 7 aero glass stuff.

  Hey all, i have been using VB.net 2008 for a few months and i have a question. I compiled my program and ran it in a VM running windows 7. However, the progress bar looks like it does in XP. It doesn't have that cool look to it like I've seen in many other programs running in windows 7. I have downloaded the 3.5 .net framework with sp1 and also the sdk for windows 7 (1.4+ gb dvd) but i still see nothing. Is there a check-box i am missing in VS 2008 to enable these types of features? Maybe some type of code i need to place in the program? Thanks! David

  Hey, I got a user table containing 15+ million records and while doing the registration function i wish to check whether the username already exist. I did indexing for username column and when i run the query "select count(uid) from users where username='webdev'" ,. hmmm, its keep on loading blank screen finally hanged up. I'm doing this in my localhost with php 5 & mysql 5. So suggest me some technique to handle this situation. Is that mongodb is good alternative for handling this process in our local machine? • Toggle Image Overlays in Google Maps API v3

  Hey guys. I've been building a small library for myself for a job I have at the moment building a map for a university. I've gotten pretty well everything I need in some basic form, but one thing has simply not been working, and is simply not giving me results. The university itself is sort of in a partnership with the neighboring college. It's been decided that both campuses should be included. I need to be able to toggle on/off the overlays of the campuses individually. i.e. Start with all campuses ON. User then turns OFF college campus, university overlay stays up. User can then turn it back on to display the college once more, or turn off the university as well, leaving no overlays. Here's a work in progress I'm doing at the moment: http://bgsweb.ca/maps/generator.html Basically, we need to take the one overlay, split it into multiple overlays, and enable the toggling of each individual overlay. Any assistance much appreciated!

They use a table named (wp_posts) and in this table they saved 3 related fields such as : post_title post_name guid It's clear that they save title of each story in post_title field , and slugs in post_name , and full url of a post in guild filed . But where the hell, they rewrite these urls in way it appears in browsers : http://localhost/wordpress/about/ There is no htaccess rules for this ! I checked rewrite.php and didn't understand an inch ?! If you were me , and u need to create such pages , what steps you would take !?

I have say a few thousand text documents and I want to create a web based system to serve them up to users in a OS X application. It's just a tiny aside for my family's small business, so it doesn't need to be amazing at the moment, we just want to see if we can can anyone to use it. I can't believe it can be that hard to do this? -Some sort of SQL backend database to manage permissions for users? -Download through the application? -For the moment just want to view the raw text files. -If we want people to pay, how would we go about incorporating that?   Hey everybody I want to perform a system-wide hook (using SetWindowHook) on a 64bit operating system. I know that 64bit processes (= proc64) can load only 64bit dlls (= dll64) and 32bit processes (= proc32) can load only 32bit dlls (= dll32). Currently I am planning to call SetWindowHook twice, once with dll32 and once with dll64, expecting that proc64s will load dll64 and proc32s will load dll32 (while dll32 for proc64s and dll64 for proc32s will fail). Is that the correct way to do that, or is there a "more correct" way to do that? Thanks! :-)

  Hey guys, I have a program that allows me to run queries against a large database. I have two tables that are important right now, Deposits and withdraws. Each contains a history of every user. I need to take each table, add up every deposit and withdraws (per user), then subtract the withdraws from the deposits. I then need to return every user whos result is negative (aka they withdrew more then they deposited). Is this possible in one query? Example: Deposit Table: |ID|UserName|Amount| |1 | Use1 |100.00| |2 | Use1 |50.00 | |3 | Use2 |25.00 | |4 | Use1 | 5.00 | WithDraw Table: |ID|UserName|Amount| |2 | Use2 | 5.00 | |1 | Use1 |100.00| |4 | Use1 | 5.00 | |3 | Use2 |25.00 | So then the result would output: |OverWithdrawers| | Use2 | Is this possible (I sure don't know how to do it)?   Hey, I am onto a task in which i have to create a link in a doccument library either upload or new link,clicking on which a form/page "not infopath" will get open and allow to upload the doccument and along with that we have some text boxes on the same page which will be asking for the properties of the doccument(like "Customer of the doccument","content Developer") and after filling up all of the things when user click on submit than in the doccument library the value of the url as well as properties comes into the columns/fields of the doccument library. • Two Column Theme, Help, to make both columns seperately Scrollable.

  Hey, I am not sure what to do on this one, I'm not a programmer, but trying to learn CSS as this is how the theme I am using was coded in. I've gotten quite far on my own, but this one stumps me Its two column Theme... As far as I have been able to get, I can use the following: #left { width: 235px; padding: 10px; margin-left: 20px; position: fixed; line-height: 15px; If I change the position to Absolute, The whole page scrolls, If I leave it at Fixed, and add lets say, a Twitter feed, or other type of text that takes me past its reading where you would normally scroll, Its just cut off, cannot get to it, hightlight or scroll.. I've also toyed with the idea, of changing the theme to a 3 column theme, but Again, not a programmer, and i'd be really confused. anyhelp would be great...
