  • iPad orientation on launch problem in portrait (bottom home button)

    - by edie
    Hi.... I've an iPad app that supports all orientation... my problem was on the start up of the application. In case of landScapeRight and landScapeLeft and portrait(top home button) the views shows correctly but when the app start in portrait (bottom home button) the views show in landscape mode... I've implemented the - (void) willRotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)toInterfaceOrientation duration:(NSTimeInterval)duration - (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation When I change the apps orientation the views shows correctly.

  • Cocoa Core data filename?

    - by RW
    I followed Apple's example for creating a managed object which btw was great... http://developer.apple.com/cocoa/coredatatutorial/index.html However I now want to know what "name" (filename) the user saved his data as. Does anyone know how to pull the filename from the core data object. something like this would be great... NSLog (@"the filename is %@", [coreData filename]); Any ideas?

  • When I really need to use [NSThread sleepForTimeInterval:1];

    - by Timbo
    Hi there, I have a program that needs to use sleep. Like really needs to. In lieu of spending ages explaining why, suffice to say that it needs it. Now I'm told to split off my code into a separate thread if it requires sleep so I don't lose interface responsiveness, so I've started learning how to use NSThread. I've created a brand new program that is conceptual so to solve the issue for this example will help me in my real program. Short story is I have a class, it has instance variables and I need a loop with a sleep to be depended on the value of that instance variable. Here's what I've put together anyway, your help is very much appreciated :) Cheers Tim /// Start Test1ViewController.h /// #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> @interface Test1ViewController : UIViewController { UILabel* label; } @property (assign) IBOutlet UILabel *label; @end /// End Test1ViewController.h /// /// Start Test1ViewController.m /// #import "Test1ViewController.h" #import "MyClass.h" @implementation Test1ViewController @synthesize label; - (void)viewDidAppear:(BOOL)animated { [super viewDidAppear:animated]; label.text = @"1"; [NSThread detachNewThreadSelector:@selector(backgroundProcess) toTarget:self withObject:nil]; } - (void)backgroundProcess { NSAutoreleasePool *pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc] init]; // Create an instance of a class that will eventually store a whole load of variables MyClass *aMyClassInstance = [MyClass new]; [aMyClassInstance createMyClassInstance:(@"Timbo")]; while (aMyClassInstance.myVariable--) { NSLog(@"blah = %i",aMyClassInstance.myVariable); label.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"blah = %d", aMyClassInstance.myVariable]; //how do I pass the new value out to the updateLabel method, or reference aMyClassInstance.myVariable? [self performSelectorOnMainThread:@selector(updateLabel) withObject:nil waitUntilDone:NO]; //the sleeping of the thread is absolutely mandatory and must be worked around. The whole point of using NSThread is so I can have sleeps [NSThread sleepForTimeInterval:1]; } [pool release]; } - (void)updateLabel {label.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"blah = %d", aMyClassInstance.myVariable]; // be nice if i could } - (void)didReceiveMemoryWarning {[super didReceiveMemoryWarning];} - (void)viewDidUnload {} - (void)dealloc {[super dealloc];} @end /// End Test1ViewController.m /// /// Start MyClass.h /// #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> @interface MyClass : NSObject { NSString* name; int myVariable; } @property int myVariable; @property (assign) NSString *name; - (void) createMyClassInstance: (NSString*)withName; - (int) changeVariable: (int)toAmount; @end /// End MyClass.h /// /// Start MyClass.h /// #import "MyClass.h" @implementation MyClass @synthesize name, myVariable; - (void) createMyClassInstance: (NSString*)withName{ name = withName; myVariable = 10; } - (int) changeVariable: (int)toAmount{ myVariable = toAmount; return toAmount; } @end /// End MyClass.h ///

  • @synthesize with UITabBarController?

    - by fuzzygoat
    I am curious if there is a good reason I should / should not be using @synthesize for the tabBarController below, or does it not matter? @implementation ScramAppDelegate @synthesize window; @synthesize tabBarController; -(BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions { [self setTabBarController:[[UITabBarController alloc] init]]; [window addSubview:[tabBarController view]]; [window makeKeyAndVisible]; return YES; } -(void)dealloc { [tabBarController release]; [self setTabBarController: nil]; [window release]; [super dealloc]; } OR @implementation ScramAppDelegate @synthesize window; -(BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions { tabBarController = [[UITabBarController alloc] init]; [window addSubview:[tabBarController view]]; [window makeKeyAndVisible]; return YES; } -(void)dealloc { [tabBarController release]; [window release]; [super dealloc]; } cheers Gary

  • How to upload contents of a file to a UITextView?

    - by Mike Rychev
    Hello! I have about twenty UITextViews and corresponding .txt files. What I want is to make each UITextView take the contents of the corresponding file and display it. Moreover, the text is formatted and it contains some formulas (copy/pasted from Grapher). I've heard about displaying formatted text in UIWebView, but I haven't found a clear explanation anywhere. Thanks in advance!

  • keyDown works but i get beeps

    - by Oscar
    I just got my keydown method to work. But i get system beep everytime i press key. i have no idea whats wrong. Googled for hours and all people say is that if you have your keyDown method you should also implement the acceptsFirstResponder. did that to and it still doesn't work. #import <Cocoa/Cocoa.h> #import "PaddleView.h" #import "BallView.h" @interface GameController : NSView { PaddleView *leftPaddle; PaddleView *rightPaddle; BallView * ball; CGPoint ballVelocity; int gameState; int player1Score; int player2Score; } @property (retain) IBOutlet PaddleView *leftPaddle; @property (retain) IBOutlet PaddleView *rightPaddle; @property (retain) IBOutlet BallView *ball; - (void)reset:(BOOL)newGame; @end #import "GameController.h" #define GameStateRunning 1 #define GameStatePause 2 #define BallSpeedX 0.2 #define BallSpeedY 0.3 #define CompMoveSpeed 15 #define ScoreToWin 5 @implementation GameController @synthesize leftPaddle, rightPaddle, ball; - (id)initWithCoder:(NSCoder *)aDecoder { self = [super initWithCoder:aDecoder]; if(self) { gameState = GameStatePause; ballVelocity = CGPointMake(BallSpeedX, BallSpeedY); [NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:0.001 target:self selector:@selector(gameLoop) userInfo:nil repeats:YES]; } return self; } - (void)gameLoop { if(gameState == GameStateRunning) { [ball setFrameOrigin:CGPointMake(ball.frame.origin.x + ballVelocity.x, ball.frame.origin.y + ballVelocity.y)]; if(ball.frame.origin.x + 15 > self.frame.size.width || ball.frame.origin.x < 0) { ballVelocity.x =- ballVelocity.x; } if(ball.frame.origin.y + 35 > self.frame.size.height || ball.frame.origin.y < 0) { ballVelocity.y =- ballVelocity.y; } } if(CGRectIntersectsRect(ball.frame, leftPaddle.frame)) { if(ball.frame.origin.x > leftPaddle.frame.origin.x) { ballVelocity.x =- ballVelocity.x; } } if(CGRectIntersectsRect(ball.frame, rightPaddle.frame)) { if(ball.frame.origin.x +15 > rightPaddle.frame.origin.x) { ballVelocity.x =- ballVelocity.x; } } if(ball.frame.origin.x <= self.frame.size.width / 2) { if(ball.frame.origin.y < leftPaddle.frame.origin.y + 75 && leftPaddle.frame.origin.y > 0) { [leftPaddle setFrameOrigin:CGPointMake(leftPaddle.frame.origin.x, leftPaddle.frame.origin.y - CompMoveSpeed)]; } if(ball.frame.origin.y > leftPaddle.frame.origin.y +75 && leftPaddle.frame.origin.y < 700 - leftPaddle.frame.size.height ) { [leftPaddle setFrameOrigin:CGPointMake(leftPaddle.frame.origin.x, leftPaddle.frame.origin.y + CompMoveSpeed)]; } } if(ball.frame.origin.x <= 0) { player2Score++; [self reset:(player2Score >= ScoreToWin)]; } if(ball.frame.origin.x + 15 > self.frame.size.width) { player1Score++; [self reset:(player1Score >= ScoreToWin)]; } } - (void)reset:(BOOL)newGame { gameState = GameStatePause; [ball setFrameOrigin:CGPointMake((self.frame.size.width + 7.5) / 2, (self.frame.size.height + 7.5)/2)]; if(newGame) { if(player1Score > player2Score) { NSLog(@"Player 1 Wins!"); } else { NSLog(@"Player 2 Wins!"); } player1Score = 0; player2Score = 0; } else { NSLog(@"Press key to serve"); } NSLog(@"Player 1: %d",player1Score); NSLog(@"Player 2: %d",player2Score); } - (void)moveRightPaddleUp { if(rightPaddle.frame.origin.y < 700 - rightPaddle.frame.size.height) { [rightPaddle setFrameOrigin:CGPointMake(rightPaddle.frame.origin.x, rightPaddle.frame.origin.y + 20)]; } } - (void)moveRightPaddleDown { if(rightPaddle.frame.origin.y > 0) { [rightPaddle setFrameOrigin:CGPointMake(rightPaddle.frame.origin.x, rightPaddle.frame.origin.y - 20)]; } } - (BOOL)acceptsFirstResponder { return YES; } - (void)keyDown:(NSEvent *)theEvent { if ([theEvent modifierFlags] & NSNumericPadKeyMask) { NSString *theArrow = [theEvent charactersIgnoringModifiers]; unichar keyChar = 0; if ( [theArrow length] == 0 ) { return; // reject dead keys } if ( [theArrow length] == 1 ) { keyChar = [theArrow characterAtIndex:0]; if ( keyChar == NSLeftArrowFunctionKey ) { gameState = GameStateRunning; } if ( keyChar == NSRightArrowFunctionKey ) { } if ( keyChar == NSUpArrowFunctionKey ) { [self moveRightPaddleUp]; } if ( keyChar == NSDownArrowFunctionKey ) { [self moveRightPaddleDown]; } [super keyDown:theEvent]; } } else { [super keyDown:theEvent]; } } - (void)drawRect:(NSRect)dirtyRect { } - (void)dealloc { [ball release]; [rightPaddle release]; [leftPaddle release]; [super dealloc]; } @end

  • How to convert Unicode strings (\u00e2, etc) into NSString for display?

    - by karlbecker_com
    I am trying to support arbitrary unicode from a variety of international users. They have already put a bunch of data into sqlite databases on their iPhones, and now I want to capture the data into a database, then send it back to their device. Right now I am using a php page that is sending data back to from an internet mysql database. The data is saved in the mysql database properly, but when it's sent back it comes out as unicode text, such as Frank\u00e2\u0080\u0099s iPad instead of just Frank's iPad where the apostrophe should really be a curly apostrophe. The answer posted to another question indicates that there is no built-in Cocoa methods to convert the "\u00e2\u0080\u0099" portion of the unicode string from the webserver to an NSString object. Is this correct? That seems really surprising (and scarily disappointing), since Cocoa definitely allows input from many different Unicode characters, and I need to support any arbitrary language that I have never heard of, and all of the possible characters. I save them to and from the local sqlite database just fine now, but once I send it to a web server, then perhaps pull down different data, I want to ensure the data pulled from the web server is correctly formatted.

  • Comparing against NSLocalizedString safe?

    - by George
    Hi, Sometimes I need to compare interface elements to other objects. At the moment I'm doing it by comparing their titles against a localized string. Am I right that I better compare my objects against IBOutlets? Tags are out of the question because I'm using NSMenu.

  • Why can't I access the facebook friends list after reopening a session in ios

    - by user1532390
    I am upgrading to the facebook 3.0 sdk for ios. Things went well, until I tried to open an existing session after relaunching the application. I am trying to access the list of friends for the facebook user. if ([[FBSession activeSession] isOpen]) { [request startWithCompletionHandler:^(FBRequestConnection *connection, id result, NSError *error) { //do something here }]; }else{ [[self session] openWithCompletionHandler:^(FBSession *session, FBSessionState status, NSError *error) { if ([self isValid]) { [request startWithCompletionHandler:^(FBRequestConnection *connection, id result, NSError *error) { //log this error we always get NSLog(@"%@",error); //do something else }]; } }]; } However I get this error: Error Domain=com.facebook.sdk Code=5 "The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.facebook.sdk error 5.)" UserInfo=0x1d92ff40 {com.facebook.sdk:ParsedJSONResponseKey={ body = { error = { code = 2500; message = "An active access token must be used to query information about the current user."; type = OAuthException; }; }; code = 400; }, com.facebook.sdk:HTTPStatusCode=400} I've found that if I use the FBSession reauthorize method it allows me to complete the request without error, but it also means I must show UI or switch apps every time we relaunch the application which is unacceptable. Any suggestions on what I should be doing differently?

  • Is this a safe/valid hash method implementation?

    - by Sean
    I have a set of classes to represent some objects loaded from a database. There are a couple variations of these objects, so I have a common base class and two subclasses to represent the differences. One of the key fields they have in common is an id field. Unfortunately, the id of an object is not unique across all variations, but within a single variation. What I mean is, a single object of type A could have an id between, say, 0 and 1,000,000. An object of type B could have an id between, 25,000 and 1,025,000. This means there's some overlap of id numbers. The objects are just variations of the same kind of thing, though, so I want to think of them as such in my code. (They were assigned ids from different sets for legacy reasons.) So I have classes like this: @class BaseClass @class TypeAClass : BaseClass @class TypeBClass : BaseClass BaseClass has a method (NSNumber *)objectId. However instances of TypeA and TypeB could have overlapping ids as discussed above, so when it comes to equality and putting these into sets, I cannot just use the id alone to check it. The unique key of these instances is, essentially, (class + objectId). So I figured that I could do this by making the following hash function on the BaseClass: -(NSUInteger)hash { return (NSUInteger)[self class] ^ [self.objectId hash]; } I also implemented isEqual like so: - (BOOL)isEqual:(id)object { return (self == object) || ([object class] == [self class] && [self.objectId isEqual:[object objectId]]); } This seems to be working, but I guess I'm just asking here to make sure I'm not overlooking something - especially with the generation of the hash by using the class pointer in that way. Is this safe or is there a better way to do this?

  • Object in Array is not recognised as having "methods"

    - by kevin Mendoza
    I got my application working Awhile back, but after completely and accidentally deleting it, I have tried to create it from square one. unfortunately my rewritten program is a bit cranky; does anyone see or know the possible sources of error? Also, my if statements are acting up. -(void)loadAnnotations { CLLocationCoordinate2D workingCoordinate; iProspectLiteAppDelegate *appDelegate = (iProspectLiteAppDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; NSMutableArray *mines =[[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithArray:(NSMutableArray *) appDelegate.mines]; BOOL gold = [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] boolForKey:@"goldControl"]; BOOL silver = [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] boolForKey:@"silverControl"]; BOOL copper = [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] boolForKey:@"copperControl"]; for(id mine in mines) { NSLog(@"in the loop"); workingCoordinate.latitude = [[mine latitudeInitial] doubleValue]; workingCoordinate.longitude = [[mine longitudeInitial] doubleValue]; iProspectLiteAnnotation *tempMine = [[iProspectLiteAnnotation alloc] initWithCoordinate:workingCoordinate]; [tempMine setTite:[mine mineName]]; if ([[mine commodity] isEqualToString:@"Gold"] && [gold == YES]) { [tempMine setAnnotationType:iProspectLiteAnnotationTypeGold]; [mapView addAnnotation:tempMine]; } if([[mine commodity] isEqualToString:@"Silver"] && [silver == YES]) { [tempMine setAnnotationType:iProspectLiteAnnotationTypeSilver]; } if([[mine commodity] isEqualToString:@"Copper"] && [copper == YES]) { [tempMine setAnnotationType:iProspectLiteAnnotationTypeCopper]; } } [mines dealloc]; } where the workingCoordinate.latitude = [[mine latitudeInitial] doubleValue], as well as the longitude, and [mine mineName],it says " No '-latitudeInitiallongitudeInitial' method found" or the mineName/LongitudeInitial. also, it complains about : before ] at all the if statement lines. I don't see any errors, do you?

  • Using Array Controllers to restrict the view in one popup depending on the selection in another. Not

    - by mjohnh
    I am working on an app that is not core data based - the data feed is a series of web services. Two arrays are created from the data feed. The first holds season data, each array object being an NSDictionary. Two of the NSDictionary entries hold the data to be displayed in the popup ('seasonName') and an id ('seasonID') that acts as a pointer (in an external table) by matches defined for that season. The second array is also a collection of NSDictionaries. Two of the entries hold the data to be displayed in the popup ('matchDescription') and the id ('matchSeasonId') that points to the seasonId defined in the NSDictionaries in first array. I have two NSPopUps. I want the first to display the season names and the second to display the matches defined for that season, depending on the selection in the first. I'm new at bindings, so excuse me if I've missed something obvious. I've tried using ArrayControllers as follows: SeasonsArrayController: content bound to appDelegate seasonsPopUpArrayData. seasonsPopup: content bound to SeasonsArrayController.arrangedObjects; content value bound to SeasonsArrayController.arrangedObjects.seasonName I see the season names fine. I can obviously follow a similar route to see the matches, but I then see them all, instead of restricting the list to the matches for the season highlighted. All the tutorials I can find seem to revolve around core data and utilise the relationships defined therein. I don't have that luxury here. Any help very gratefully received.

  • UINavigation Bar while moving view for writing in a textfield

    - by ObiWanKeNerd
    i'm using this code to move the view when i'm about to type on a textfield, otherwise the keyboard may cover the textfield if it's in the lower side of the screen. I would like to know if there is a way to maintain the UINavigation Bar in it's place, because with this code the bar will move with all the view outside the screen, becoming untouchable until i end editing the textfield (closing the keyboard). CGFloat animatedDistance; static const CGFloat KEYBOARD_ANIMATION_DURATION = 0.3; static const CGFloat MINIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION = 0.2; static const CGFloat MAXIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION = 0.8; static const CGFloat PORTRAIT_KEYBOARD_HEIGHT = 216; static const CGFloat LANDSCAPE_KEYBOARD_HEIGHT = 162; - (void)textFieldDidBeginEditing:(UITextField *)textField { CGRect textFieldRect = [self.view.window convertRect:textField.bounds fromView:textField]; CGRect viewRect = [self.view.window convertRect:self.view.bounds fromView:self.view]; CGFloat midline = textFieldRect.origin.y + 0.5 * textFieldRect.size.height; CGFloat numerator = midline - viewRect.origin.y - MINIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION * viewRect.size.height; CGFloat denominator = (MAXIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION - MINIMUM_SCROLL_FRACTION) * viewRect.size.height; CGFloat heightFraction = numerator / denominator; if (heightFraction < 0.0) { heightFraction = 0.0; } else if (heightFraction > 1.0) { heightFraction = 1.0; } UIInterfaceOrientation orientation = [[UIApplication sharedApplication] statusBarOrientation]; if (orientation == UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait || orientation == UIInterfaceOrientationPortraitUpsideDown) { animatedDistance = floor(PORTRAIT_KEYBOARD_HEIGHT * heightFraction); } else { animatedDistance = floor(LANDSCAPE_KEYBOARD_HEIGHT * heightFraction); } CGRect viewFrame = self.view.frame; viewFrame.origin.y -= animatedDistance; [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL]; [UIView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState:YES]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:KEYBOARD_ANIMATION_DURATION]; [self.view setFrame:viewFrame]; [UIView commitAnimations]; } - (void)textFieldDidEndEditing:(UITextField *)textField { CGRect viewFrame = self.view.frame; viewFrame.origin.y += animatedDistance; [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL]; [UIView setAnimationBeginsFromCurrentState:YES]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:KEYBOARD_ANIMATION_DURATION]; [self.view setFrame:viewFrame]; [UIView commitAnimations]; } Thanks in advance!

  • Overriding properties of child view controller vs setting them via parent view controller

    - by robinjam
    If you want to modify the default behaviour of a View Controller by changing the value of one of its properties, is it considered better form to instantiate the class and set its property directly, or subclass it and override the property? With the former it would become the parent View Controller's responsibility to configure its children, whereas with the latter the children would effectively configure themselves. EDIT: Some more information: The class I am referring to is FetchedTableViewController, a subclass of UITableViewController that I made to display the results of a Core Data fetch operation. There are two places I want to display the results of a fetch, and they each have different fetch requests. I'm trying to decide whether it's better to create a subclass for each one, and override the fetchRequest property, or make it the responsibility of the parent controller to set the fetchRequest property for its children.

  • Create a dictionary property list programmatically

    - by jovany
    I want to programatically create a dictionary which feeds data to my UITableView but I'm having a hard time with it. I want to create a dictionary that resembles this property list (image) give or take a couple of items. I've looked at "Property List Programming Guide: Creating Property Lists Programmatically" and I came up with a small sample of my own: //keys NSArray *Childs = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"testerbet", nil]; NSArray *Children = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"Children", nil]; NSArray *Keys = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"Rows", nil]; NSArray *Title = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"Title", nil]; //strings NSString *Titles = @"mmm training"; //dictionary NSDictionary *item1 = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObject:Childs, Titles forKey:Children , Title]; NSDictionary *item2 = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObject:Childs, Titles forKey:Children , Title]; NSDictionary *item3 = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObject:Childs, Titles forKey:Children , Title]; NSArray *Rows = [NSArray arrayWithObjects: item1, item2, item3, nil]; NSDictionary *Root = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObject:Rows forKey:Keys]; // NSDictionary *tempDict = [[NSDictionary alloc] //initWithContentsOfFile:DataPath]; NSDictionary *tempDict = [[NSDictionary alloc] initWithDictionary: Root]; I'm trying to use this data of hierachy for my table views. I'm actually using this article as an example. So I was wondering how can I can create my property list (dictionary) programmatically so that I can fill it with my own arrays. I'm still new with iPhone development so bear with me. ;)

  • Test iPhone in-app purchases on a different bundle?

    - by Andrew Johnson
    We have a group of beta testers for iPhone app. Recently, we added in-app purchases to the app. Before this, we would send out ad hoc builds to beta testers using a separate bundle ID and name so that they could have the store build and the ad hoc build on their phones. However, it seems like we have to build the ad hoc copy with the same Bundle ID to test in-app purchases, and this means we can't send out a seperate beta copy - our beta file (annoyingly) overwrites the user's store-bought app. Is there any way to test in-app purchases in a different bundle ID? Do I need to set up fake, test in-app purchases for the test build too?

  • Optimal pixel format for drawing on iPhone?

    - by Felixyz
    Pretty simple question: when doing some pretty intense drawing with CoreGraphics on the iPhone, how can I specify the pixel format to get optimal performance? Is the format that I get from the context via UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext per definition the best one? I know that RGB565 is supposed to be the fastest to use in OpenGL. Does that go for CoreGraphics as well? General advice?

  • How to upload image to remote server in iphone?

    - by Atulkumar V. Jain
    Hi Everybody, I am trying to upload a image which i am clicking with the help of the camera. I am trying the following code to upload the image to the remote server. -(void)searchAction:(UIImage*)theImage { UIDevice *dev = [UIDevice currentDevice]; NSString *uniqueId = dev.uniqueIdentifier; NSData * imageData = UIImagePNGRepresentation(theImage); NSString *postLength = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d",[imageData length]]; NSString *urlString = [@"http://www.amolconsultants.com/im.jsp?" stringByAppendingString:@"imagedata=iPhoneV0&mcid="]; urlString = [urlString stringByAppendingString:uniqueId]; urlString = [urlString stringByAppendingString:@"&lang=en_US.UTF-8"]; NSLog(@"The URL of the image is :- %@", urlString); NSMutableURLRequest *request = [[[NSMutableURLRequest alloc] init] autorelease]; [request setURL:[NSURL URLWithString:urlString]]; [request setHTTPMethod:@"POST"]; [request setValue:postLength forHTTPHeaderField:@"Content-Length"]; [request setHTTPBody:imageData]; NSURLConnection *conn=[[NSURLConnection alloc] initWithRequest:request delegate:self]; if (conn == nil) { NSLog(@"Failed to create the connection"); } } But nothing is getting posted. Nothing comes in the console window also. I am calling this method in the action sheet. When the user clicks on the 1st button of the action sheet this method is called to post the image. Can anyone help me with this... Any code will be very helpful... Thanx in advance...
