  I have Ubuntu lucid on my home computer. Today I was experimenting with runlevels and I couldn't figure out how to change the default run level of Ubuntu. I can do that using /etc/inittab on Debian 504 but that file is not there in Ubuntu. I have searched on the web but couldn't figure out the answer. Thanks in advance.

  Hi, We have a Bat file running on a pc login to migrate a pc from Domain A to Domain B this works brill but. @ECHO OFF cmd /c netdom move /domain:B %computername% /OU:"OU=Computers" /ud:B Admin /pd:***** /uo:%computername%\administrator /po:***** /uf:A admin /pf:****** We need this to be able to run at PC startup rather than user login. • Cannot make BartPE CD - how restore DriveImageXML image?

  I have a Windows Vista laptop that won't boot at all. On the D: drive I have DriveImage XML images of C: drive, but I don't have a BartPE boot CD and I don't have a Vista install CD. How can I image the C: using the images on D: if I can't make a BartPE CD because I can't boot to Windows? Is there a BartPE (with DriveImage XML plugin) iso I can download from somewhere, or what can I do? Thanks.

• Xforwarding doesn't allow for switching users

  I'm ssh'd into a remote computer and xforwarding is working fine... but as soon as I "sudo su -" or "sudo su user2" it no longer Xforwards anything giving me the error: X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication. xterm Xt error: Can't open display: localhost:10.0 Any Ideas? Thanks

  What is the difference between adding MIME types in these 2 different situations? When in IIS 6 manager... Right click on the computer name (local computer) properties mime types Right click on the "Web sites" folder properties http headers mime types I'm guessing that perhaps option 1 adds MIME types for FTP also? However if that were true i'd expect to be able to add MIME types specifically in the properties of FTP (and not just websites). thanks for your help.

  I successfully configured Postfix to deliver messages to virtual mailboxes. I can set aliases and pipes inside /etc/postfix/virtual and mailboxes inside /etc/postfix/virtual_mailbox files. However, whenever I set a catch-all domain and point to a remote email address, it overrides all other virtual mailboxes and virtual aliases set in postfix. How can I set a catch-all forwarding to the remote email address when virtual mailbox is enabled? I set catch-all like this: @mydomain.com [email protected] Thanks for your help!

  It it possible to configure a SunOne web server to automatically redirect all URLs with capital letters to the corresponding lower case URLs? For example, redirect /Example, /eXamPle and /EXAMPLE all to /example. This would have to be for all URLs (or at least a subset excluding a specific prefix) I normally have nothing to do with web server configuration (especially not SunOne).   Is there any other location restricting a user from accessing their emails from their phone using active sync, besides on a domain controller -active directory-user properties - account - logon hours. The user's logon hours are allowed all the time. • Is there a good host for console applications?

  We have several applications that run in AppHarbor that we are bringing in-house. Our worker processes for AppHarbor are developed as windows console applications. What is the best way to host these console application in house? Of course I can just install and run them but I am hoping for a more managed way to host them. I want them to restart if they fail, ability to run multiple applications. These are things that were managed by AppHarbor. Thanks
