  • Compiled query using list of class objects in C#

    Hello , Can somebody help me out in creating compiled queries where input is to be a list of class objects? I have seen examples where Func<DataContext, somematchobject, IQueryable<T>> is created and compiled. But can I do something like Func<List<T>, matchObject, T>, and compile it? Basically I want an object(T) meeting certain conditions (as in matchObject) to be returned from a list of objects(List<T>). Will CompiledQuery.Compile help me in this? Please help me experts!!

  • what should be the return type of the hashCode()

    The signature of the hashCode() method is public int hashCode(){ return x; } in this case x must be an int(primitive) but plz can anyone explain it to me that the number which the hashCode() returns must be a prime number, even number...etc or there is no specification ? the reason behind i am asking this question is i have seen it in different ids the auto generated code always returns a prime number, so i need to know why? thanks in advance

  • Cell Dequeue problem when table inside another table's cell content view

    I am using two table views (Main Table and Sub Table), one table inside other's cell. I am adding Sub Table in Main Table's cell content view. I am also using different Cell Identifier for both table cells. Now, issue is : When - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath is called, very first time cell of Main Table is generated and when I scroll up/down they all are just dequeued, so it is expected and standard behavior and working fine. But, cell of Sub Table is getting created/allocated every time. It is not dequeued as it should be. I guess, its happening because Sub Table is part of Main Table's Cell Content view. But not sure and don't know how to resolve it. Can somebody help me to find the solution?

    I have the following code snippet: enum { one } x; enum { two } y; x = y; That will compile in C, but in C++, I get the following error: test.c:6: error: cannot convert ‘main()::<anonymous enum>’ to ‘main()::<anonymous enum>’ in assignment Can someone explain to me why this is happening? I would prefer an answer with some specifics about why the compiler behaves this way, rather than just "You can't do that"

    Hi all, I'm a new bit in Qt... I have a Qt GUI application (written by me), let's call it QtAPP.exe When QtAPP.exe running, I will use a QThread and QProcess to execute some external file, such as player.exe (written in native C). Here's my question: In QtAPP.exe, there are 2 classes, 1. QMainWindow - Core of QtAPP.exe 2. QThread - A thread class to execute external things For now, if I got a finished() signal in that QThread, how do I to force the QMainWindow to repaint itself ? Hope somebody can show me some tips, maybe sample code :) Any suggestion are welcome~

    Hello, this may be a silly question, but I want to calculate the complexity of one of my algorithms, and I am not sure what complexity to consider for the memmove() function. Can you please help / explain ? void * memmove ( void * destination, const void * source, size_t num ); So is the complexity O(num) or O(1). I suppose it's O(num), but I am not sure as I lack for now the understanding of what's going on under the hood.

    Hi All I am trying to implement a feature. But I've never had anything to do with "Web Services" before, other than using them. I have a desktop application, and I want that application to be able to sort of "post" some information (i.e. email address, username, user-selected options (just plain text) etc) to an application or "web service" on my ASP.NET web server.   • Two view App with root template view

    Hi I was wanted to do Application witch have a root template view with a nice logo on top or something adn load other views just below (here is what I have right now: Test App ) But I have a little problem. If I'll remove a comment in file TestAppDelegate.m on line 58 //[currentView release]; Application will crash with bunch of errors when I try to switch views. But if I comment this line Project analyzer is telling me that I have a potential leak with currentView variable. Can somebody spare some time and see in that code what I did wrong?

My specification is to truncate the string, display some message like Read More at the end and when user clicks on it, the text slides down. UPDATE: Ah! Forgot one thing.   • Error in eclipse: "The project cannot be built until build path errors are resolved"

    I am a CS student learning java so I do some work at home and at college on a mixture of linux and windows. I have a problem after copying a new project into the eclipse workspace. The project shows up but with a red exclamation mark and an error saying: "The project cannot be built until build path errors are resolved" Can somebody help me out with this?     i have searched for calendar libraries and i have found TimeSquare calender on this site https://github.com/square/android-times-square ive downloaded the file and add made an import for the folder in ecilipse and everithing worked fine then i have exported with gradle and imported in android studio and everything worked fine.THE problem is that i want to use this calender in an app i'm developping so i have added folder library as a module and synced with grade but when i define <com.squareup.timessquare.CalendarPickerView android:id="@+id/calendar_view" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" /> just in xml and run the app it crashes on setcontentview and i cannot make anything in plus can somebody tell me how to use this library correctly.

  • Questions about my program and Polymorphism

    Ok, so basically I'm creating a program which allows the user to select a shape (triangle, square, circle) and then it takes in a int and calculates the boundary length and area. I have no problem doing this and have a program that's working perfectly. (https://gist.github.com/anonymous/c63a03c129560a7b7434 4 classes) But now I have to implement this with polymorphism concepts and I'm honestly struggling as to how to do it. I have a basic idea of what I want to do when it comes to inheritance Main | Shapes / | \ triangle circle square But I don't understand how I'm supposed to override when all the methods within the triangle/square/circle classes are unique, there are no "abstract" methods as such that I could inherit from the "Shapes" class. If somebody could make look quickly at the code I linked and suggest a way to do this it would be much appreciated. Sorry if I was bad at explaining this. Thanks.
