  • Can I get a more portable receiver for my Logitech wireless mouse?

    Hi there, I have a Logitech Trackman mouse, which I love and would like to take with me on my travels. However, the receiver for this thing is highly unportable (for use on a train, for example). I know you can get tiny wireless receivers like on this mouse. Is there any way to use a smaller third party receiver with my Logitech mouse, or does anyone know of a Logitech accessory or something like that which I could use? Thanks!

  • Desktop icons and taskbar not shown in Windows XP

    Hi, I am not able see any desktop icons, taskbar in my Windows XP system. Also none of the keyboard shortcuts like Win Key + R, Win Key + E are not working. Yesterday I installed AVG 9.0 in my machine and was working fine. But today when I started the system an svchost error occured saying "the memory at location could not be written". What would be the cause of this issue? Thanks in advance

    My hosting environment using Server version: Apache/2.2.14 (Unix) and I am modifying ./usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf to set environment variable and restarting the server . SetEnv XML-RPC-IPs 193.45.32.21 I did set it as a first entry in the file and restarted the server . But even restarting if I try to print it is still getting me black , Am I missing any thing ? echo "My IP address ".$_SERVER['XML-RPC-IPs']; Thanks for your help Regards Kiran

  • Using Jira on subdomain and not 8080

    I have Jira installed as a service on my Ubuntu VPS on 8080. I've successfully used ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse to point http://jira.mydomain.com to http://mydomain.com:8080 However, after login, the URL in the browser is changed to http://mydomain.com:8080/Dashboard.... Is there anyway to keep the http://jira.mydomain.com even after login, and throughout the whole user experience? Thanks, Sam

I've done this, but sometimes I need to adjust one thing and I have to change every PSD file so that the entire project is consistent.     Hi, I wonder if the following things can be done with the HTML notes pane of freemind: Is it possible on the layout view to decrease the separation between lines? The panel is horizontal, is it possible to setup a vertical view? (I have a big, horizontal-like monitor) By the way, when I move the mouse pointer over a node, i can see the HTLM note associated with it, but its view (as a yellow square) only lasts for some seconds.   • Linux server very slow after IP change and synflood attack

    our server experienced a synflood attack and we used the csf firewall synflood settings to block it. Our server administrators also changed the IP of the server to a new one and blackholed the old IP. The attack went over and I changed the synflood settings back. However the server is still very slow, with a very low CPU usage and very low traffic on the website. Does anybody have an idea what might be causing this?     I frequently save pages as PDF from Chrome on OSX. The page is apple-P then click the PDF button and the "Save as PDF.." menu item. I always use the pre-filled filename and save in the default directory. Is it possible to save this as an automator script? If that is possible I woulld sure like to add this as a button on Chrome somewhere so I can just "save this for reading later" Thanks for any help.

    I have created a 3-fold brochure in Mac iWork - Pages. If I print the brochure then I can 3-fold it and everything is fine. But if I want to export as PDF then I get a 2-A4 size pages, and this distorts the user the order of the pages, I would like to export each layout as a separate page. The 'Layout Break' option is diabled and I don't know how to enable it? Any ideas? Thanks.

    I know I can assign different wallpaper for each monitor that is connected to my computer in Windows 8(by right clicking and selecting "set for monitor 1,2,etc"), but I don't know how to assign different wallpaper slideshow or different theme for each monitor. Can anyone tell me how to do that? It is quite interesting to see different wallpapers on different monitors, but seeing static wallpaper on each of those monitors is no fun. thanks

    I am creating a tarball from a bunch of files in one machine under my $USER - I have set execute permissions to all the files, but when I copy it over to another user in a different machine, there is an 'access permission denied error' when that user tries to access some of the files. I do not have root/sudo privileges. How would I resolve that? What are the rules to create universally distributable tarballs? Thanks.
