  • Help needed in installing Snow Leopard on Macbook air

    So. I tried partition my disk using Disk Utility for loading the operating system in the partition drive and installing it. But partition failed, and I could not do that. I tried Remote OSX install from another computer, my MBA crashes with error Hold Power Button to shutdown I dont have a super drive or 8 gigs hard disk. Could someone suggest me some way to install Snow Leopard OSX on my Macbook air ? Thanks !

  • Sharepoint 'Access Denied' when uploading files.

    Hi all, A sharepoint administrator with 'Full Control' to the sharepoint site (not server administrator) is trying to edit a page and upload a graphic file to http://sharepoint.internal.com/sites/maths/ we are getting "upload failed check your folder permissions" but I can't find any folder called 'sites' on the server. Does anyone have any suggestions where I would change these permissions? Thanks

    Why won't my logon scripts map drives under Windows 7? I'm using a vb script similar to the one below, the script runs using a group policy. Dim WshNetwork Set WshNetwork = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Network") WshNetwork.MapNetworkDrive "g:", "\\\Saturn\data\" WshNetwork.MapNetworkDrive "k:", "\\\Saturn\stuff\" Works fine for Windows XP. Update: Copying the script locally and running it runs fine so I suspect the Group Policy isn't running the script on Windows 7. Many thanks Steve

    Hi, I drew a shape with the pen tool in Flash CS4. When I double click on the line it highlights the entire shape, but I can't fill for some reason. If I single click, only part of the line is highlighted (before it changes angle). How can I get this line to connect as a shape to invoke fill on it? Thanks, Mike

    I'd like to run a given Perl script whenever I connect my camera to my PC, so that this script will download all the photos on it. But as the drive letter for the camera may change depending on what's already connected, I need to pass this drive letter as an argument to the script. Is this doable? Thanks.     FTPDrive has been a great utility for me, but it does not support 64bit Windows 7. The feature of FTPDrive that is useful for me is accesing files from an FTP as local files without pre-downloading so that I can preview and watch movies from a local FTP server without waiting for a full movie to get downloaded first. Do you know of any software which allows accessing files over FTP without pre-downloading? Thanks!

    I need to have at least one microphone on Windows to make Skype calls, but i have a VPS with Windows 2003 server with no audio device. I googled a lot and finally i found something called "Virtual Audio Cable", a tool to install virtual audio drivers ( http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.html ). I tried many times but i couldn't get this driver work, so i'm asking if someone know a similar solution, i mean a virtual microphone or a way to make skype working without any microphone.   • ASP.NET application within wordpress installation on IIS 7

    Hi all, a client has a wordpress installation on their IIS server located at www.mydomain.com. We would like to put our asp.net application in a subdirectory of the wordpress installation - at something like mydomain.com/asp. When I navigate to that directory I get a standard wordpress "Page not found" error. I am more familiar with htaccess, so how would I get wordpress to ignore a subdirectory in IIS? Thanks!

  • Can't boot Windows 8

    When I try to boot Windows 8, it starts automatic repair process which fails to repair it. It logs stuff in c:\windows\system32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt. After one of attempted automatic repairs, last line in that file said that tm.sys and clfs.sys files are corrupt (current version says "Startup Repair has tried several times but still cannot determine the cause of the problem.") Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

    Hello There, this is my first Serverfault Question: I found myself this afternoon Setting up a Win Server 2008 R2 system for use with Team foundation source code control, and in order to give team-mates right to connect, i had to create user account for each of them (10 persons) (I can't and I don't want to create a domain). The point is that, after that, all that user accounts are showing in the login screen. Can i set those accounts to not show there? How? Thanks in advance

    Do web proxies really provide anonymity? I mean, without someone asking for logs in a web proxy server for who/when connected, is it impossible to know who was behind that IP address? I'm asking this because I heard somewhere that some technologies (like "flash") bypass personal IP information for requests or something like that. (I'm a noob in server configuration and concepts like DNS and proxies. Thanks!)

  • Delete the pendive contents and also trash in mac?

    I am using mac pro.I copied some data from my pen drive to my mac and i deleted the content by moving it to trash.After that when i see the info of pen drive it give more value than the original value.If i cleaned the content of the trash only i am able to see the correct value of pen drive and able to copy data. Is mac has been designed like that or is there any other way to delete other than using "move to trash" option? Thanks.
