• Apache - slow response

  Hi, I have a Ubuntu 64-bit 10.04 LTS box running Virtualmin and Apache2, fully updated. It's an ESX VM with 2GB RAM. There are currently two sites (one CMS and one Wordpress 3) running on the server and both have the same issue. The request takes about 5s and then the page loads. This behaving seems to be the case with all page loads. I'm looking for advice on where to start troubleshooting. Thanks, Sean

  Hi Guys, What tools are available to debug a memcache server with a high miss rate (62%)? Ideally I would like to know the keys for the top cache misses, but I would just settle for seeing the keys of live get requests and working it out from there. I have tried a few web based things (phpMemcache) but it doesn't have the information I need. I also tried statsproxy-1.0 which appeared to do what I need but would not play ball. Many thanks

• Map IP address to localhost (locally) under Windows 7.

  So basically I want to map the IP address 1.2.3.4 to localhost. So that when I browse to: 1.2.3.4/somepage.html It will fetch: 127.0.0.1/somepage.html Does anyone know how I could go about doing this? Unfortunately the hosts file does not allow these kind of mappings. Thanks

  I have installed Windows Home Server on an older Dell computer, and it uses a Broadcom 440x Ethernet NIC driver. I have tried all of the drivers listed on their drivers page to no luck. The error message I get when trying to install is: "The parameter is incorrect" I know it is a long shot, but anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

  I am skinning up a website and other things in Photoshop but I am finding the PSD taking a very long time to load/save and I'm wanting to split the PSD file into several files. I've done this, but sometimes I need to adjust one thing and I have to change every PSD file so that the entire project is consistent. • Can I NAT multiple Linux clients through a Windows VPN client to a remote network?

  Here's the situation: My org has a Check Point firewall. I can only connect to it using Windows, despite making attempts with Openswan. Is there a way I can use the Windows box to VPN into my org and then use the Windows box to NAT other local workstations into the remote network? It seems like I might be able to but I'd like to know that for sure from a networking expert before I run down another rabbit hole. :-) Thanks in advance!

  I upgraded my outlook 2007 to 2010. Everything was smooth, but realised later that, some of the archeive folders are missing. But, When I did a search on my archeive for a mail(exists in missing folder), it is able to show the mail in the search results. It is also showing the missing folder name in the search results.   Is there any way to coax Gmail into pushing new-mail notifications into my Linux machine, without using a full-on graphical mail client like Thunderbird? edit: Thanks for all the responses, but (unless I'm mistaken) these applications all poll, none of them receive notifications pushed from GMail. Also, I'd prefer a console-based program, as this will be running on a headless server.

Just been playing around with Rainmeter and I notice that if I want to go look at my desktop and I click on the bottom right square in win7 that minimizes to the desktop, the rainmeter "gadget" gets minimized as well, not letting me read what I want to see.   Hi, I wonder if the following things can be done with the HTML notes pane of freemind: Is it possible on the layout view to decrease the separation between lines? The panel is horizontal, is it possible to setup a vertical view? (I have a big, horizontal-like monitor) By the way, when I move the mouse pointer over a node, i can see the HTLM note associated with it, but its view (as a yellow square) only lasts for some seconds.
