• Track Pedestrians

  I am using OpenCV sample code “peopledetect.cpp” to detect and track pedestrians. The code uses HoG for feature extraction and SVM for classification. Please find the reference paper used here. The camera is mounted on the wall at a height of 10 feet and 45 degree down. There is no restriction on the pedestrian movement within the frame. I want to track the detected pedestrians’ movement within the frame. The issue I am facing is pedestrians are detected only in the middle region of the frame as most of the features are not visible as soon as the pedestrian enters the frame region. I want to track each person’s movement in the entire frame region. How to do it? Is tracking required? Can anyone give any reference to blogs/codes?

  Hi guys, this is a really simple question on which I've found no answer :/ How can I quickly access the screen resolution (width, height) as integer values? I've tried this one, but it always shows zero on my emulator: DisplayMetrics dm = new DisplayMetrics(); int width = dm.widthPixels / 2; In my case I want to dynamically create a table with tableRows, each containing two cols. This cols all shall fill half of the screen in width. Can someone give me a hint?

• how do i keep the aspect ratio on image buttons in android?

  i have 5 square ImageButtons that i want to have lined up side by side on the bottom of the screen. I have each one set (different id's) as: <ImageButton android:id="@+id/box1" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_gravity="center" android:adjustViewBounds="true" android:scaleType="fitXY" android:layout_weight="1" android:layout_margin="1dp" /> and i have the background assigned in main java like this: int[] imageIds = new int[] {R.id.box1,R.id.box2,R.id.box3,R.id.box4,R.id.box5}; for(int i = 0; i<5; i++){ imageButtons[i] = (ImageButton) findViewById(imageIds[i]); imageButtons[i].setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.blank); } what i would like to have it do is scale the width to fit neatly side-by-side at the bottom of the screen (which it does now ok), but have the height automatically scale to match the width as well. is this possible? i don't want to use setImageSource because then it puts a border around the imagebutton.

• Making Flex HTML Control UnSelectable

  I am displaying some HTML text in an Adobe AIR Application that I do not want the user to be able to cut and paste. How do I make the HTML control disallow highlighting of the HTML without disabling the ScrollBars. mouseChildren=false works but disables the scrollbars which is unacceptable. Right now I have: <mx:HTML location="http://dexter/preview.html" width="100%" height="100%" id="PreviewArea" x="0" y="0" tabEnabled="false" tabChildren="false" focusEnabled="false" focusRect="null"/> But it's not working properly either. I have also tried overlaying a disabled transparent text control over the top of the HTML component, but the user is still able to tab to the HTML and use the keyboard controls to copy the text to the clipboard. Any hints?

• CSS sticky footer makes scroll bar unscrollable in IE 8

In IE8 the scrollbar appears but doesn't work, and I don't have any other way to move down. • Texture repeats even with GL_CLAMP_TO_EDGE set [FIXED]

  Hi, i'm trying to put a translucing texture on a face which uses points 1 to 4 (don't mind the numbers) on the following screenshot Sadly as you can see the texture repeats herself in both dimensions, I tried to switch the TEXTURE_WRAP_S from REPEAT to CLAMP_to_EDGE but it doesn't change anything. • Attaching a function to the parent window from an iframe and getting proper scope

  I working on adding file uploading to my web application. I'm using an iframe to post my upload. When my php script processes the upload it writes some JavaScript to the iframe. This JavaScript is attempting to attach a function to the parent, this works, but when this function actually gets called it doesn't have the correct scope. Here is the code I'm attaching to the parent window: parent.window.showPreview = function(coords) { if (parseInt(coords.w) > 0) { var rx = 200 / coords.w; var ry = 250 / coords.h; $('#preview').css({ width: Math.round(rx * 400) + 'px', height: Math.round(ry * 533) + 'px', marginLeft: '-' + Math.round(rx * coords.x) + 'px', marginTop: '-' + Math.round(ry * coords.y) + 'px' }); } } When this function gets executed I get an error that says $ is not defined. I've tried adding changing the JQuery call to parent.$('#preview').css..., but then it says that parent is undefined. Any ideas?

• Android Dropdown (Select) CSS

  I'm currently writing some stylesheets for mobile browsers and have come across a strange issue in the Android browser. When changing the font-size CSS attribute of a text box the box gets bigger to accomodate the larger text. Doing this on a select box however does not change the size of the select box, but the text still gets larger (actually overlapping the top and bottom of the rendered form element). Can anyone tell me if it's possible to increase the height of select boxes in the Android browser. Or if not point me in the direction of a list of CSS attributes that can be applied to them. • centering ul so that columns will be centered too

  In my page I want it so that when you resize the page past the point of the pictures, that the pictures will go into another row, all the way so each picture has it's own row. And then potentially I won't need any media queries. But unfortunaltely I can't find a way to center. I have tried everything I can think of, aside of making hundreds of media queries with different positioning. I can't make it a block because then it won't go into rows, I have tried margin: 0 auto;. I have tried changing the padding, I have even tried using the html align="center". Nothing is working. But when it is in it's mobile state, there is no 10px padding at the bottom, and the singapore title is on the left side rather than floating. • Refactoring a long method that simply populates

  I am refactoring a method which is over 500 lines (don't ask me why) The method basically queries a list of maps from the database and for each map in the list does some computation and adds the value of that computation to the map. There are however too many computations and puts being done that the code has reached over 500 lines already! • DrawString only works in top-left part of form vb.net

My problem is that it will ONLY draw the string in the upper-left portion of the form, roughly 260x260 starting at 0,0. It literally cuts off the text if it goes beyond. Why is this? Shouldn't it work for the entire form?

(CSS3 and above is ok) I have the below code, the gradient background color does show up, but the background-image doesn't. • Google Maps API : V2 : marker icons are not square

  I have generated a bunch of png files to use as markers on my site. However when I applied them using GIcon(). I see that they are squeezed such that the height is more than the width. This even though my png files are exactly 22x22 pixels. I don't think I have the resources to generate the whole set to fit the odd 20x34 or some such size. Is there any way this can be fixed ? I tried specifying a GSize() to unsqueeze them, but that didn't work.

• position:fixed on element in ie7/8 and problems with the scrolling of the content inside it

  I got an element fixed in the center of the screen, having specific dimensions (let's say 500x500). The element has content, which is larger then the height of the element and thus causes scroll bar to appear, which is fine. In FF/WebKit everything works nice. However in IE 7/8 ... content of the fixed element doesn't scroll, or scrolls with HUGE delay. If I change position:fixed to position:absolute, it starts to scroll fine, but with position:fixed... it's just a pain!.. Is it some known issue? Anyone heard/encountered something like that? Any ideas how to deal with such?...

• Have to put files in static_dir but need to read them afterwards

  I just started using google app engine. In order to use templates, I'm using jinja2. I want to add images dynamically after I set the width and height of the img tag. I used PIL in order to read the image size and put the one I want. However when I open the image with PIL, I need it not to be in a static_dir and to put the image in the img tag, I need it to be in the static_dir. As a testing solution I've copied the folder to see if I get results and I did. But as you can see having each image saved twice is kind of bad.

• Write Local File using Adobe Air Iframe

  This is driving me mad. I am creating an AIR application and everything is working great. However I would really like to have a form inside an Iframe that when the user clicks submit saves the file to local application storage directory. Right now I am able to do this and save the file with no problems when I just access the HTML page not inside an Iframe. However if I wrap the page in an iframe and hit submit the file does not save. Any code examples would be very much appreciated. • Jquery tooltip plugin qTip doesn't seem to set width properly

• How can I keep a div's scrollbar at the bottom of the div using jQuery?

I'd like to have it so that when the scrollbar appears (after the divs filled up), it should continously stay at the bottom of the div instead of the top, like most chat clients do.   I've got a web page that I'm embedding a pdf into. Is there a way to make this happen? I know only a little about JQuery, but it looks like .ready() won't fit my needs, since it is designed to fire when the html document is ready, not when all of its components are fully loaded. Thoughts?

• WPF Moving Element problem

  Hello, I am probably over-doing a very simple problem, but this is what I have a the moment: I have several buttons and a listbox of items in which the user can select and interact with. My application also moves those elements in accordance to the application width/height, such as follows: listBox1.Margin = new Thickness(this.ActualWidth * 0.84, this.ActualHeight * 0.3, 0, 0); I am able to select the items within the listbox and click on buttons appropriately while in windowed mode, but as I begin to stretch the application larger, I try to click on the items, and I cannot do so.. is this because I also need to update their hit-detection rectangles as well? Or perhaps am I moving the items incorrectly? I am at a loss.. any information would be very helpful at this point...thanks!
