• findBy(x) Using Zend_Navigation with custom route

  I am creating my navigation from a db generated array and defining which route to use for some of the uris. when I set the route i am no longer able to use findByUri() as the uri seems to be moved under the properties key example array being used: [id] => 7 [label] => Legal [controller] => index [uri] => /legal [route] => cmsPage [visible] => 1 [params] => Array ( [first] => legal ) snippet of the output: [_properties:protected] => Array ( [uri] => /legal [created] => 2012-10-20 10:23:23 ) When I don't define the route I am able to use findByUri() successfully. currently I am looping through each to find the property that matches the request but it seems a long / wrong approach Is there a way to search by the nested param - or am i doing something wrong with the setup (everything else behaves as expected)

  Basic Java question here from a real newbie. I have a set of Java objects (of class "MyClass") that implement a certain interface (Interface "MyIfc"). I have a set of these objects stored in a private variable in my class that is declared as follows: protected Set<MyClass> stuff = new HashSet<MyClass>(); I need to provide a public method that returns this set as a collection of objects of type "MyIfc". public Collection<MyIfc> getMyStuff() {...} How do I do the conversion? The following line gives me an error that it can't do the conversion. I would have guessed the compiler knew that objects of class MyClass implemented MyIfc and therefore would have handled it. Collection<MyIfc> newstuff = stuff; Any enlightenment is appreciated.

  Hi! This question follows this: handling to onchange event of AutoCompleteTextField in wicket I'm trying to use the AutoCompleteTextField with a custom class as the generic type, and to add an AjaxFormComponentUpdatingBehavior. What I mean is I want to have a AutoCompleteTextField<SomeClass> myAutoComplete = ...; and after that add a AjaxFormComponentUpdatingBehavior: myAutoComplete.add(new AjaxFormComponentUpdatingBehavior("onchange") { @Override protected void onUpdate(AjaxRequestTarget target) { System.out.println( "Value: "+getValue() ); } }); The problem is that for some reason, adding that behavior makes the form try to set the model object with a String (even though the AutoCompleteTextField has a generic type of SomeClass), causing a ClassCastException when the onchange event fires. Is there a way to use AutoCompleteTextField without it being AutoCompleteTextField<String>? I couldn't find any example. • imageview draw issue with asynctask

  Have the following asynctask that i'm using to download some images. Works fine except for the very first image, which doesn't always appears unless I do something like move to the next image and then back again. public class DownloadImageTask extends AsyncTask { static ImageView _imageView=null; public DownloadImageTask(ImageView ctl){ _imageView=ctl; } protected void onPostExecute(Bitmap result) { _imageView.setImageBitmap(result); } ... } I thought this might be an issue with updating the UI on a background thread, so I reworked this using an abstract class that invokes a method on the UI thread that calls .setImageBitmap() but I still get the same behaviour - works fine for all images except the first, unless I move to the next image and back again. Is there a way to force a redraw on the imageview after i set the image?

• Custom deleters for std::shared_ptrs

  Is it possible to use a custom deleter after creating a std::shared_ptr without using new? My problem is that object creation is handled by a factory class and its constructors & destructors are protected, which gives a compile error, and I don't want to use new because of its drawbacks. To elaborate: I prefer to create shared pointers like this, which doesn't let you set a custom deleter (I think): auto sp1 = make_shared<Song>(L"The Beatles", L"Im Happy Just to Dance With You"); Or I can create them like this, which does let met set a deleter through an argument: auto sp2(new Song, MyDeleterFunc); But the second one uses new, which AFAIK isn't as efficient as the top sort of allocation. Maybe this is clearer: is it possible to get the benefits of make_shared<> as well as a custom deleter? Would that mean having to write an allocator?

I am using routes to determine localization. ie: if the url has es or fr in the route it will load either spanish or french resources. for example: www.someroute/es/checkstuff/checkstuff.aspx will load: www.someroute/checkstuff/checkstuff.aspx with the spanish resources.   Hello, I have been coding regurlarly in C++ in the past months. I am getting used to it step by step... but there are things that confuse me about formatting. I know there is a lot of legacy from C that I supousee mixes with C++. This time I have doubts about how to order properly my members and functions within in a class. Also considering their access modifiers. How is the convention in this? Until know I am doing everything "public" and writing first constructor of class, then destructor, next members and finally functions. It this correct? What happens when introducing "private" and "protected" access modifiers or "virtual" functions? From the documents I have look in the Internet there is different ways of doing things. But my questions aims to get the knowledge from a community that develops in C++ that I want to blend into. ;-) Thanks a lot!!!

  Declaring a property in a derived class that matches the name of a property in the base class "hides" it (unless it overrides it with the override keyword). Both the base and derived class properties will be returned by Type.GetProperties() if their types don't match. However, if their types do match, shockingly only the derived class's property is returned.   I am using the default web server for WinCE 6 and wish to password protect certain folders. The default VROOT /remoteadmin/ is password protected, and this works but my configuration doesn't work. I have tried mimicking these settings on my own folders but to little success. Here is how one looks: In the HKLM\Comm\HTTPD\VROOTS key I have created a subkey called /web/configuration (this folder actually exists on the box). The following values are in this key A = 1 DefaultPage = config.html Path = /hard disk/webroot/web/configuration/ UserList = ADMIN This is nigh on identical to the settings in /RemoteAdmin/ but /RemoteAdmin/ requests a password and /web/configuration doesn't (even after reboot).

• What's the deal with a leading underscore in PHP class methods?

  While looking over various PHP libraries I've noticed that a lot of people choose to prefix some class methods with a single underscore, such as public function _foo() ...instead of... public function foo() I realize that ultimately this comes down to personal preference, but I was wondering if anyone had some insight into where this habit comes from. My thought is that it's probably being carried over from PHP 4, before class methods could be marked as protected or private, as a way of implying "do not call this method from outside the class". However, it also occurred to me that maybe it originates somewhere (a language) I'm not familiar with or that there may be good reasoning behind it that I would benefit from knowing. Any thoughts, insights and/or opinions would be appreciated.
