  I want to use Timepedia Chronoscope (http://code.google.com/p/gwt-chronoscope/) in my GWT application. I have all the configuration like shown on chronoscope project site: chronoscope-1.0.jar in gwt-2.0.x applications: gwt-user-2.0.x and gwt-servlet-2.0.x chronoscope-api-1.0.jar gwtexporter-2.0.10.jar gin-1.0.jar I've inherited chornoscope module. I get the error from gwt plugin to eclipse that looks like that: java.lang.RuntimeException: Deferred binding failed for 'org.timepedia.chronoscope.client.browser.Chronoscope$ChronoscopeBrowserInjector' (did you forget to inherit a required module?) Can you help me?

• Netbeans GUI Form corrupted?

  I was making a java gui application through netbeans IDE. All was working fine but yesterday when I opened the form in Netbeans, it said that the form had been corrupted and it could only open that form in read-only mode. When I opened that form in read-only mode, I found that the code was incomplete as severals lines of coding wasn't there at the end. Could anybody tell me how to recover the form. The form is perfect in lookwise but the generated code is incomplete. The code is too long to write it again. The Netbeans told me to get help from http://wiki.netbeans.org/FormGuardedBlockError but I didn't find any helpful information there.

• DNS Issue Windows 2003 AD-The server holding the PDC role is down

  Our network of Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 servers suddenly hasDNS issues. There are 7 DCs. Two at our main office and one each at branch sites (one branch has two a 2008R2 and WIN2K3) Only two are WIN2008R2 Running DCDIAG on the WIN2K3 at main site (DC1) reports no issues. Running at any branch site reports two issues All other test pass. The server DC1 can be PINGed by name from any site Starting test: frsevent There are warning or error events within the last 24 hours after the SYSVOL has been shared. Failing SYSVOL replication problems may cause Group Policy problems. Starting test: FsmoCheck Warning: DcGetDcName(PDC_REQUIRED) call failed, error 1355 A Primary Domain Controller could not be located. The server holding the PDC role is down. Netdom.exe /query DC reports the expected servers. netdom query fsmo This reports the server at the main office holds the following roles: * Schema owner Domain role owner PDC role RID pool manager Infrastructure owner In the DNS management snap-in, DC1 appears as DNS server but does not appear in _msdcs-dc-_sites-Default-First-Site-Name-_TCP There is no _ldap or –kerberos record pointing to DC1 Same issue msdcs-dc-_sites- -_TCP Again there is no _ldap or –kerberos record pointing to DC1 Under Domain DNS Zones there is no entry for the server. This is the case for any _tcp folder in the DNS. The server DC1 appears correctly as a name server in the Reverse Lookup Zone. There is a Host(A) record for DC1 but in the Forward Lookup Zone there is no (same as parent folder) Host(A) for the DC1 server but such an entry exists for the other DCs at branch sites and the other DC at the main office. We have tried stopping and starting the netlogon service, restarting DNS and also dcdiag /fix. Netdiag reports error: Trust relationship test. . . . . . : Failed [FATAL] Secure channel to domain 'XXX' is broken. [ERROR_NO_LOGON_SERVERS] [WARNING] Failed to query SPN registration on DC- One entry for each branch DC All braches lsit the problem server and it can be Pinged by name from any branch Fixing is number one priority but also would like to determine the casue.

  How can I get mojibake to pass? this might be a bug in the contributors plugin. • Anyone who actually got Tycho to work?

  I'm trying to get Tycho working with m2eclipse. Problem is that all I find are outdated sites and old versions to download. I've found my way to hxxp://github.com/sonatype/sonatype-tycho and downloaded the source. Problem is that the guide at https://docs.sonatype.org/display/TYCHO/BuildingTycho isn't of much help. When trying to build I run into an error message saying I'm using invalid syntax..... And there seems to be nowhere to ask for further guidance. So are there anyone out there who actually got this working? Or got a better alternative for continuous integration / automatic build solution for eclipse plug-ins?

  Having problems related to WPF WebBrowser not having a visual. Reason being, that it actually a wrapper around the winforms browser. Anyways, I searched the web for any solution to this problem, and got hold of the following suggestions: http://chriscavanagh.wordpress.com/2009/08/25/a-real-wpf-webbrowser/ http://rob.runtothehills.org/archives/60 The first one solves everything, but seems like an overkill. Plus, the dll's should be licensed for commercial use. The second one seems simple, but not able to figure out when to refresh the screen. Plus there's so much to do like sending mouse and keyboard messages to the webbrowser. P.S. The problem I'm trying to solve is to show the same webbrowser on different windows. They both must be interactive, and always in sync visually.

• How to make a form using ajax, onchange event, reload to SAME page

  I've been studying this for a while and I'm not sure if I'm going about this the right way because every form I setup according to examples, it doesn't do what I need. I need to setup a form that will: set session when you select from dropdown menu not reload/refresh page (i've read that using AJAX solves this) submit and stay on SAME page (confused because most AJAX examples send it to different process.php page which is supposedly "invisible" but it doesn't "stay" on the same page, it redirects. Basically, client selects quantity of 1 to 10. If they select "2"... it does NOT reload the page.. but it DOES set a session[quantity]=2. Should be simple... but do I POST to same page as form? or POST to different page and it somehow redirects? Also, one test I did it kept pasting my "echo session[quantity]" down the page like 7, 2, 3, 5, etc. etc. each time instead of replacing it. I would paste code but it's all over the place and I'm hoping for direction on which methods to use. Feel I need to start all over again.   I need to use Subversion with Eclipse on Mac Lion. I encounter problem as below I saw: Subclipse in Mac OS Lion In my context: I use Mac OS Line 10.7.2 Eclipse version: 3.7.1 64 bit I install Subversion: Universal Subversion 1.6.17 Binaries for Lion (Mac OS X 10.7) in the page: http://www.open.collab.net/downloads/community/ I install Subclipse by the "Install New Software..." feature of Eclipse with the update link: http://subclipse.tigris.org/update_1.8.x It install Subclipse 1.8.2, JavaHL 1.7.1.1 and some other packages. When I go to menu Preferences/ Team / SVN , it produce error: "Incompatible JavaHL library loaded. 1.7.x or later required." I find to install SVN Kit, so use it instead of JavaHL as the very first link refer (here), but I don't see it in Subclipse package.

• Chrome starts to load image then show broken link icon

  Chrome (21.0.1180.79 m) On several random pages it has started to load an image and then suddenly the image disappears and there's only the broken image icon. If I right click the icon and choose to open the image in another window then the image opens, so it seems to me that it isn't a problem with the page? • Turn Bluetooth On and Off in Andriod 1.5 (SDK level 3)?

  There are tons of pay and free bluetooth toggles on the market that work with Android 1.5 (SDK level 3). The problem is there is no visible API for this! Does anyone have any working code snippits on how to enable and disable bluetooth that works on Android 1.5? I assume you must have to use some kind of reflection for it. There are some examples over on anddev.org, but they only work with Android 1.1 or lower. This is for Android 1.5 (SDK level 3) and not Android 2.0 or greater. In Android 2.0 or later Google added easy to use APIs.

• Is it possible to use SWT on a Mac with Mac Java 1.6

  The official Eclipse site seems to indicate this is not possible: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=216051 which says: Apple is not supporting the 64-bit carbon API. SWT is written using carbon so it must be 32-bit. Apple won't support 32-bit JDK 1.6. Therefore SWT won't run on JDK 1.6 (along with any other Java program that had natives that made carbon calls). Nothing we can do here other than port to cocoa (which has been started but is still in the early stages). Is this still true? (This bug report comment is from over a year ago.) Is there no way to write an SWT app that I can distribute and will run on any Mac unless the user installs an old/Sun VM?

• Curious: Could LLVM be used for Infocom z-machine code, and if so how? (in general)

  Forgive me if this is a silly question, but I'm wondering if/how LLVM could be used to obtain a higher performance Z-Machine VM for interactive fiction. (If it could be used, I'm just looking for some high-level ideas or suggestions, not a detailed solution.) It might seem odd to desire higher performance for a circa-1978 technology, but apparently Z-Machine games produced by the modern Inform 7 IDE can have performance issues due to the huge number of rules that need to be evaluated with each turn. Is there an easy way to do this?

• Maven downloads have .lastUpdated as extension

  I am a beginner to Eclipse and maven. I have an Eclipse setup with m2eclipse and subversive. I have imported a maven2 project from svn. But I get the error message that a whole bunch of artifacts are missing (for instance: Missing artifact org.springframework:spring-test:jar:3.0.1.RELEASE:test). If I look in my repository I see the jar files there but they have an extra extension .lastUpdated. Why is maven appending .lastUpdated to the jars? And more importantly: how can I fix this? Btw there is no mention of the type lastUpdated in my POMs.

• Seam-gen isn't working properly.. log4j acuses an error

  Hello Seam Users, I'm having a couple problems with my Seam start up. I did the ./seam generate to reverse my current postgres db, which contains 4 tables, first I though everything was okay, just a warning message, but when I imported the project into eclipse, I saw that none of my packages had any class. This is the error that seam generate, got me. [hibernate] Executing Hibernate Tool with a JDBC Configuration (for reverse engineering) [hibernate] 1. task: hbm2java (Generates a set of .java files) [hibernate] log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (org.hibernate.cfg.Environment). [hibernate] log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. [javaformatter] Java formatting of 0 files completed. Skipped 0 file(s). Any ideas? The seam-gen was supposed to generate some entity classes, but its not. I suppose that error is causing the mis-behavior. Regards

• How can I get jcifs to play nicely with apache axis

  I need to connect Apache Axis 1.4 to a Webservice that uses NTLM authentication to restrict access to its operations. I'm expecting to use Samba Jcifs to handle the NTLM handshake. I found http://hc.apache.org/httpcomponents-client/ntlm.html which gives me fantastic directions for how to wire up HttpClient 4.0 with jcifs. Trouble is, Axis wants to use Http Client 3.0 and the two apis look very different. There are 2 possibilities that I can see Write an object for Axis that lets it plug into HttpClient 4. Figure out how to wire HttpClient 3.0 up with Samba Jcifs. Number 1. looks non-trivial, but possible Number 2. I cannot find any encouraging messages on the web describing how to do this. My question is: has anyone successfully connected samba jcifs with HttpClient 3.0 ? Has anyone already created an Axis HttpSender object that works with HttpClient 4 ? Is there some better alternative that I have not considered?

  In more details: I want to build a web service to which users register and by browsing my site, users can send blog posts to their own blogs. Initially wordpress.org is discussed. However, I'll be happy to hear solutions for typepad or wordpress.com as well. The ideal solution would be a way for my server to simply "tell" their blog what to post (as a draft of course for them to confirm). A good solution would be for my users to install a plugin in their blog that will allow my server the above functionality. Lacking any other solution, I would give my users text to copy-paste into their blog editor. Help me find a solution and feel free to be creative!

  In using the m4_ax_python_module.m4 macro in configure.ac (AX_PYTHON_MODULE), one can know at configure time if a given module is installed. It takes two arguments, the module name, and second argument which if not empty, will lead to an exit, useful when the module is a must-have. In the case where you don't want a fatal exit, how do you test in configure.ac which modules were found or not? They output "yes" or "no" when configure is run, but that's all I've found so far. Basically If I have these lines in configure.ac: AX_PYTHON_MODULE(json,[]) AX_PYTHON_MODULE(simplejson,[]) How do I test which of the two modules were found? • Finding the right version of the right JAR in a maven repository

  I'm converting a build that has 71 .jar files in its global lib/ directory to use Maven. Of course, these have been pulled from the web by lots of developers over the past ten years of this project's history, and weren't always added to VCS with all the necessary version info, etc. Is there an easy, automated way to go from that set of .jar files to the corresponding <dependency/> elements for use in my pom.xml files? I'm hoping for a web page where I can submit the checksum of a jar file and get back an XML snippet. The google hits for 'maven repository search' are basically just finding name-based searches. And http://repo1.maven.org/ has no search whatsoever, as far as I can see. Update: GrepCode looks like it can find projects given an MD5 checksum. But it doesn't provide the particular details (groupId, artifactId) that Maven needs.

• How to tell process id within Python

  Hey, I am working with a cluster system over linux (www.mosix.org) that allows me to run jobs and have the system run them on different computers. Jobs are run like so: mosrun ls & This will naturally create the process and run it on the background, returning the process id, like so: [1] 29199 Later it will return. I am writing a Python infrastructure that would run jobs and control them. For that I want to run jobs using the mosrun program as above, and save the process ID of the spawned process (29199 in this case). This naturally cannot be done using os.system or commands.getoutput, as the printed ID is not what the process prints to output... Any clues? Edit: Since the python script is only meant to initially run the script, the scripts need to run longer than the python shell. I guess it means the mosrun process cannot be the script's "son process". Any suggestions? Thanks

• keypress event not being triggered only at start and end of text field in Firefox (JQuery)

  I'm listening for keypress events on an input field with delegation. For some reason, Firefox doesn't trigger the delegated event for cursor UP when at the start of the field, or cursor DOWN when at the end. LEFT and RIGHT work as expected all the time. Directly binding an event listener to the field works fine, so it has to be something to do with delegation. I have read information on opensocial.org as well as google's opensocial page and have a basic idea what it takes but still there is a lot of info missing to even get started. I know i gotta provide RESTful API as well as JavaScript API, authenticating using OAuth methods. Does my container has to provide all 3: JSON, XML, and AtomPub representations of data? I found Shindig but it runs under Apache, i need something for IIS. Are there any libraries that i could use as a base for my APIs to save time? Is it even recommended to write the entire container from scratch? thanks

  Is it possible to configure Hibernate reverse engineering and code generation tool in such a way that one-to-many relation between tables is mapped to entities inheritance instead of enrites relation? I have Person table and Employee table, which are related with the foreign key (Person contains basic information, Employee the rest). In my Java code I would like this relation mapped to inheritance Employee extends Person. This can be done by hand, but maybe I missed some custom configuration parameter that I can use. I couldn't find any official documentation - docs link on RedHat Hibernate page (http://www.hibernate.org/5.html#A10) is broken...
